Chapter 869: So, You'll Always Be Together

Mia spoke and laughed, "Forgot to tell you, I'm out."

"Long time no see, Myles," she said.

Long time no see, yet worlds apart.

Mia stood in front of Myles' tombstone and spoke for a long time, sharing many things.

She talked about the difficulties she faced during her time inside and the endless longing she felt for

Myles.

After she finished saying what she wanted to say, the tears on her face had dried up.

Mia stood up and gently caressed Myles' photo on the tombstone. "Myles, wait for me. I'll make sure

Bonnie comes down to accompany you soon. Since you love her so much, you can be together

forever."

After saying these words, Mia turned and left the cemetery.

...

Evening came.

Bonnie arrived at the store on time and saw Yanis diligently drawing. She asked in a low voice, "Is this

a new project for a client? Or are you refreshing your portfolio?"

Yanis completed the final stroke and replied, "I'm planning to refresh my portfolio. I want to put away

the previous ones."

"Speaking of which, your collaboration with Ivan should be ending soon, right? Are you going to

continue working with the Baxter family? After all, Ivan is no longer in the country," Bonnie asked,

looking at Yanis.

Yanis paused for a few seconds and said, "I haven't really thought about it. Let's maintain the status

quo for now."

Bonnie was about to say something, but she swallowed her words. Sometimes, without experiencing

something firsthand, it's impossible to truly understand the other person's perspective. After all, there's

no substitute for personal experience.

So Bonnie held back her intentions to persuade Yanis.

"It's fine this way, each of us living our own lives," Yanis said with agreement.

"Yeah, it's fine," Bonnie echoed.

After Yanis finished packing up, Zane arrived.

Bonnie glanced at Zane entering through the door and said, "You two go ahead. I'll go pick up Haider.

His car got scratched this morning, and he took it to the dealership. I should be able to catch up with

you guys when I pick him up."

Yanis nodded. "Okay."

"Mr. Lawrence, you and Yanis go ahead. I'll go pick someone up first," Bonnie said as she passed by

Zane.

Zane responded, "Alright."

Zane stepped forward and offered, "Still haven't finished packing? Need help?"

"No, it'll be done soon," Yanis said, glancing up at Zane's face. "Did you clear your schedule for

tonight?"

Zane replied, "Of course. We should go visit the Old Mr. Cooke officially, as your husband."

Yanis chuckled at Zane's words. "Alright, when we go, do you want me to formally introduce my Mr.

Lawrence?"

Zane nodded decisively. "Yes."

"Alright."

Yanis packed up their things and bid farewell to Linda before leaving for Cooke Residence directly.

Since it was rush hour, it took Yanis and Zane more than half an hour to reach Cooke Residence.

When they arrived, Bonnie and Haider were already there.

"Did you get caught in traffic?" Bonnie asked as they entered.

"Yeah, it was a bit congested," Yanis replied.

After responding to Bonnie, Yanis turned to Travis and Freddy and greeted them.

"It's been a while. You look even slimmer," Travis remarked.

Speaking of which, Travis looked at Zane, who was standing next to Yanis, and said, "Mr. Lawrence,

you're not mistreating Yanis, are you?"

"I wouldn't dare," Zane said, holding Yanis' hand. "I'm too busy pampering her to even think about

mistreating her."

"Grandfather, it's not appropriate for you to ask such a question. Yanis is Mr. Lawrence's sweetheart

now. He's afraid of dropping her or melting her," Bonnie said, and Travis nodded in agreement, smiling.

Freddy chimed in at the right moment, "Your grandfather is right. Living a good life together is better

than anything else."

After exchanging pleasantries, they all took their seats.

Travis hadn't seen Yanis in a long time, so he probably had a lot to say. He took Yanis aside to chat.

Zane naturally sat down with Haider.

"Is this your first time coming here with Yanis?" Haider asked Zane.

Zane looked at Haider and replied, "Have you been here many times?"

Haider chuckled and said, "Don't you remember? We used to have a close relationship with the Cooke

family."

After Haider mentioned it, Zane suddenly realized.

"The Old Mr. Cooke also wants to formally meet you. After all, your relationship with Yanis was kept

secret before, so this is good."

"I didn't consider Yanis' feelings when I was worried before," Zane said, his voice low.

Haider patted Zane on the shoulder and said, "Life is short, cherish the people around you."

Zane understood Haider's words very well.

After all, Bonnie and Myles were an example.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

They had been restless for a long time, and just when they wanted to settle down and live a peaceful

life, an accident happened.

So, it's important to cherish the present because tomorrow and the day of the unexpected can come

first, and no one can predict them.

During dinner, Zane drank a bit too much alcohol with Travis. At first, he was cautious, but later, he lost

control.

Travis was the first to get drunk and was assisted back to his room, followed by Freddy.

Haider had also had quite a few drinks.

"Are you guys still drinking?" Bonnie looked at Haider, who seemed intoxicated, and quickly stepped

forward to collect the remaining alcohol. "That's enough."

After saying that, Bonnie turned to Yanis and said, "You don't even care. You got everyone drunk on

their first visit!"

Yanis was also a bit shocked. Zane's alcohol tolerance wasn't normally so high.

But tonight, he seemed surprisingly able to handle it.

Not only did he get Travis and Freddy drunk, but even Haider was almost there.

"Zane, are you okay?" Yanis asked, concerned.

Upon hearing Yanis' inquiry, Zane smiled at her and said, "Wife, I'm fine."

Zane's tone made Bonnie couldn't help but laugh. "Is it because you've had too much to drink? What's

with this attitude?"

Yanis couldn't help but laugh as well. She turned to Bonnie and said, "Why don't Haider stay here

tonight? He can't drive like this."

Bonnie agreed, "I've already prepared a guest room. I'll help him up later."

Yanis glanced at Bonnie and said, "You don't have to. I'll assist him and then come back."
