While Yanis was on her way to buy groceries with Reed, she decided to make a phone call to Zane.

"Do you have time tonight?" Yanis asked directly.

Zane replied, "I have a meeting with Allan tonight, should be done around 7. What's up?"

"I just came over to Mitch's place. His mom got discharged from the hospital, and they invited you for

dinner tonight. I wanted to check if you're available, but if you're busy, it's fine," Yanis explained.

After listening to Yanis, Zane stayed silent for a few seconds and then said, "I'll come over later, but it

might be a bit late."

"Aren't you supposed to have a talk with Allan?" Yanis asked.

"Let me come earlier, and I'll join you after it's over," Zane whispered.

Upon hearing Zane's response, Yanis agreed, "Alright, come over after you're done."

After hanging up the phone, Yanis turned to Reed and asked, "Have you picked out everything?"

Reed looked at Yanis and replied, "Yanis, what do you like to eat?"

"What about Mr. Lawrence? What does he like to eat? I'm not sure if he'll be accustomed to my mom's

cooking," Reed said while carefully selecting fresh vegetables and talking to Yanis.

Yanis smiled and said, "He's fine with anything. He's not a picky eater."

In general, Zane wasn't too particular about food. He could eat almost anything, but if he didn't like

something, he would eat less of it or avoid it altogether.

"That's good. I was just worried that Mr. Lawrence might not like my mom's cooking, and he wouldn't

feel comfortable saying anything," Reed expressed his concerns.

"Don't worry, it'll be fine," Yanis reassured.

After buying the groceries, they also picked up a few other things before heading to the checkout

counter.

"Reed, when you called me earlier, did you want to talk about something?" Yanis asked.

Can you convince her to stay in Manches City? Or if she doesn't want to, can we go back to Viteto

together? We don't want to be separated from her."

"Did your mom tell you why she wants to go back?" Yanis inquired.

Reed shook his head, "No."

"Well, if she wants to go back, it's probably because she feels more comfortable with the life back

home and finds it inconvenient here," Yanis explained. She decided not to mention Marnon's condition

to Reed, thinking it would be best for Marnon to talk to him personally.

Reed let out a sigh, "Yanis, I also have my own selfish reasons. I want to stay in Manches City

"Because of Allan?" Yanis interjected.

After Mitch's call ended, Reed stood still for a moment, lost in thought, before dialing the number.

Allan picked up the call almost instantly. "Reed, what's up?"

"Do you have time tonight? My mom wants you to come over for dinner," Reed said.

After hearing Reed's words, Allan hesitated for a few seconds. "Tonight?"

"If you're busy, I can tell my mom to plan for another day..." Reed started saying.

"No need, I'll come tonight," Allan interrupted before Reed could finish speaking.

Upon hearing Allan's response, Reed whispered, "If my mom says anything, just... just bear with it,

okay?"

"Don't worry, I have some things to take care of first, but once I'm done, I'll let you know when I'm on

my way," Allan assured.

Reed responded, "Okay, take your time then."

After ending the call with Reed, Allan looked at Zane and asked, "Should we postpone our matter for

another day?"

Zane looked back at him and said, "You want to go to the Miller family's place tonight?"

Allan was slightly shocked and asked, "How did you know?"
