Chapter 922: Since You're All Unwilling, Then I'll Go with Him!
After hearing Haider's words, Mia sneered, "Don't take things too far? Haider, haven't you all done that
to me? Didn't Myles do that to me? And now I'm the one going too far?"
"Do you all think it's my fault? That I've brought things to this irreparable point?"
"Then tell me, what about Myles' death?"
"If it weren't for her, Myles wouldn't have died! He wouldn't have died!"
"Mia, Myles' death was an accident, not intentional, just an accident," Haider tried to reason.
"An accident?" Mia looked at Haider. "Haider, do you also like her? Do you think she's always right?"
Haider frowned. "Mia, if you stop now, we can pretend nothing happened today. Can you please put
down the knife?"
Mia shook her head. "Haider, you don't care enough about Myles. Nobody truly cares about him except
me. I'm the one who cares the most, understands him the best."
As Mia said this, her gaze fell on Bonnie's face. "I know Myles loved her, loved her so much he would
give up his own life. So now, I'll let her go and accompany him. That way, Myles won't be sad
anymore."
As soon as Mia finished speaking, Haider rushed towards her.
But no matter how hard Haider tried, he couldn't stop Mia.
The sharp blade plunged straight into Bonnie's abdomen.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Bonnie!"
As Mia's blade pierced Bonnie's belly, Yanis's voice cracked.
Haider pushed Mia aside, and as Mia stumbled back a few steps, she suddenly burst into laughter.
Then she stood up, pointing at Haider, pointing at Bonnie. "I knew it. I knew none of you wanted to go
with him. Since you're all unwilling, then I'll go! I'll go with him!"
Upon hearing Mia's words, Haider instinctively looked at her.
Mia stepped onto the staircase without hesitation and leaped from the rooftop.
Haider tried to grab Mia but only managed to catch hold of her clothes. Due to the weight, the fabric
tore, and Mia fell straight down.
Haider stood there, dumbfounded, watching Mia's body grow smaller and smaller until she was barely
visible.
After a while, Haider snapped out of his daze and turned to look at Bonnie lying on the ground.
Yanis held Bonnie's hand. "Bonnie?"
"Mia injected something just now. She should be in a coma. Mr. Lawrence and I will carry her
downstairs. Yanis, call the hospital," Haider said, helping to push the gurney and briefing Dr. Watson on
the situation.
"What about the syringe? Did you bring it back?" Dr. Watson asked.
Haider shook his head. "I asked someone to bring it."
Dr. Watson nodded. "Do it quickly."
After saying that, Dr. Watson looked at Bonnie, whose face had turned pale. "I can't guarantee her
condition, and we don't know what kind of drugs she was injected with. We definitely need to perform
surgery now, to deliver the baby first. You should be prepared for various risks."
Haider nodded. "Alright, thank you, Dr. Watson."
Dr. Watson replied, "I'll do my best."
Bonnie was quickly taken into the operating room.
Haider stood at the door of the operating room for a while before turning to Yanis. "Yanis, can you... call
the Old Mr. Cooke and let them know?"
Yanis looked at Haider and nodded. "Okay."
Yanis turned around and made the call.
At the same time, Haider's phone rang.
It was a call from the company. Haider answered, "What's the matter? Okay, I'll let them know later. Or
maybe have them come to the hospital."
After hanging up, Haider said to Yanis, roughly explaining Bonnie's condition. On the other end of the
phone, Freddy's voice sounded calm. After Yanis finished speaking, Freddy whispered, "We'll come
over now."
Yanis responded with an "okay" and hung up the phone.
Zane looked at Yanis ending the call and gently held his hand, whispering, "Everything will be fine."
Yanis, who had been suppressing his tears, couldn't hold them back any longer after Zane's words.
Tears streamed down his face.
Zane furrowed his brows at the restrained sobbing, but he didn't say anything to comfort him.
Haider stood by the wall, his face filled with utmost embarrassment.
Travis and Freddy arrived just as the police did.
"Mr. Hughes, we have a few questions to ask you. Can we speak somewhere else?" one of the officers
said after exchanging greetings with Travis and Freddy.
Haider turned to the police and said, "Let's go, we can talk over there."
After Haider left with the police, Yanis looked at Travis and said, "Bonnie will be fine."
Travis gently patted Yanis on the shoulder without saying a word.
Time passed, and the light in the operating room remained on.
After a surgery that lasted over four hours, Travis and Freddy stood up almost simultaneously when the
lights finally went off.
Yanis also stood up immediately.
Dr. Watson emerged from the room, his face weary. He looked at Travis and nodded. "The Old Mr.
Cooke."
Travis nodded. "How is she?"
"Mother and child are safe, but the baby is premature and needs to stay in an incubator for a while.
Miss Cooke is still under anesthesia, and combined with the drugs injected earlier, she may not wake
up for another two or three hours. For now, she cannot be moved. She needs specialized care in the
ICU until all her vital signs are stable, then she can be transferred to a regular ward."
