I Died 10

In the quiet of the night, Logan’s sudden burst of rage took Isabel by surprise. She cried out, “Logan, what are you doing?”
“S–Stop it!”
But he didn’t answer. Instead, she heard the harsh grinding of his teeth, an eerie sound in the dark. Ignoring her pleas, he slapped her again, his hand tightening around her neck, much like he had done to me that dreadful night at the mating ceremony.
I should have felt some satisfaction seeing her in this position, but I felt nothing but hollowness. What was the point of getting angry now? It was far too late.
Was he really going to go as far as to strangle her?
Soon, an Elder entered the pack house and witnessed what was happening. He quickly went in between and forcefully put the Alpha’s hands away from the she–wolf who loudly coughed when her neck was released.
“The hell is happening, Alpha? Why are you strangling Isabel?” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Usually, everyone thought Logan was composed even though he could be strict–looking. But that time, it must be the first time that the elder saw how enraged. he was to the point of showing such violence.
“Tell me what is happening here,” this time, the elder wolf asked Isabel.
On the other hand, Isabel just squirmed uncomfortably, eager to escape the situation. When questioned by an elder, she put on a smile and brushed it off, saying, “It’s not al big deal. Alpha Logan and I are friends and we were playing around,”
“Playing around?” The elder weren’t buying it. “You were almost strangled to death! That’s your idea of playing around?”
However, Isabel just stood up, looking serious, and declared, “Look, I’m the one who got hurt here, and I’m not taking it as a big deal. So please, I need to go now. I still need to go back to Light Forest Pack.”
The elder shook his head. “It doesn’t work like that. We, elders, are making sure to guide the Alpha of Crimson Crescent and make sure that he’s using his strength for the betterment of this pack. What I saw was rather ridiculous, don’t you think, Alpha Logan?”
On the other hand, Logan seemed pissed that an elder, of all wolves there was, had to step up and witness what happened.
“Don’t overstep your authority. I am still the Alpha of Crimson Crescent.” He clenched. his jaw.
“I am merely going to interview Isabel and let the pack healer do something about her wounds. Their power will tell us what is truly happening here as well. No harm to your position if you’re not guilty.”

When Isabel heard that, she quickly shook her head. “No way! I’m not doing that! I need to leave now!” Her voice rose as if leaving was all she wanted to do.
Even from my perspective, she was acting rather suspiciously. How much more in the eyes of Logan and one of the elders?
It was obvious why she was doing all that. The pack healers were powerful and their senses were made to distinguish crimes. Once they sense her wolf scent, they would notice it is the same as the lingering wolf scent in my body.
Poor Isabel, it seemed like you were not allowed to hide in your previous pack, were you?
She tried to bolt, but the elder intercepted her at the door. With one motion of his hand, three Consul pack members appeared and immediately put her hands together. “What the hell are you doing? He’s the one who hurt me but you’re doing this to me instead of him?” She angrily spat and turned her head to Logan, her eyes piercing. “Alpha Logan! Do something! You are the head of this pack! You know I have to leave!” She pleaded, making her look more suspicious.
And yet, Logan remained silent, as if he hadn’t heard a thing. It was evident that he was already sensing something wrong with how Isabel was acting. Her slip of words earlier also didn’t leave his mind. earlier also
