I love you till the end, Mr. Buenavista

MOODY

Zachary awoke early the following day to the sound of his cellphone ringing repeatedly. He looked at the clock, which read less than seven in the morning.

He took a deep breath and reached for the phone on the bedside table. He immediately answered when he heard Mommy Lorraine call.

“Hello?”

“Son, get up first. I sent you and Samarra breakfast. Sorry, but our maid forgot to go grocery shopping last Friday.”

“It’s alright, Mi. We’ll also handle our groceries.”

“Are you sure? Leslie can go grocery shopping for you.”

“No, Mi. Samarra and I are also bonding.”

Zachary removed the phone from his ear when his mother yelled at him on the other end of the line.

“My baby, someone else’s baby,” his mother joked over the phone.

“Please, son. Take good care of Samarra and avoid hurting her. I understand you were only forced, but you still need to fix the relationship between the two.” Even though his mother, Lorraine, couldn’t see him, Zachary nodded.

“Yes, Mi.”

“Please come down so Leslie and Mang Dado can return.”

Zachary quickly said goodbye to the other line and rose so Samarra wouldn’t wake up next to him.

When he got off, he went straight to the gate to get the food Samarra had sent them.

“Thank you,” he said as he waved goodbye to the maid and went back inside to arrange breakfast with Samarra.

When Zachary opened the door, he saw Samarra sitting on the bed, stunned. He assumed that he would wake her up.

“Hey,” he said as he approached Samarra. Zachary was still scratching his head when he noticed Samarra, who was unaffected by his tap on the shoulder.

“Love?”

Samarra slowly turned to face him, making Zachary even more nervous because he wasn’t used to Samarra acting this way.

“Are you having a nightmare? Come on, say something.” He sat down beside Samarra and stroked her chin. Samarra quickly smiled and shook her head.

“What have you been up to?”

Zachary wasn’t convinced, but he didn’t want to ruin Samarra’s mood, so he smiled instead of asking.

“I went downstairs for a while to get the food Mommy had sent us. Let’s all eat and go in together.” Zachary even extends his palm to Samarra to assist her in standing.

“Wait, love?”

Samarra’s face turned to him as he greeted him with a kiss. He pinched her on the cheek because he saw her stunned by what he had done.

“Hello and good morning.”

“Tsk. Because of your kiss, my lips have thickened.”

Zachary wrapped his arm around Samarra, seeing her beautiful red face, and he laughed, even more when he sniffed her mouth.

“Don’t worry, love, it doesn’t stink,” he teased as Samarra stared at him.

Zachary shook his head and smiled as he stopped teasing Samarra because he didn’t want Samarra to punch him.

“Love?”

Samarra paused eating and looked at Zachary, staring intently at her.

“What?”

“Who is going to take you?”

Samarra debated whether or not to say it because she and Zachary might argue in the morning.

“Jameson?”

Samarra responded with a simple nod.

“Please tell him, and I’ll take you now. It’s the same time we go to school, and we’ll still have class in the first subject.”

Samarra nodded again and resumed eating. She didn’t want to say anything else.

When they finished eating, Zachary told Samarra to take a bath because he would be the one to clean up and wash their dishes. Knowing Samarra, if it’s still washing and cleaning, it’ll be too slow to move, and they’ll be late.

Zachary then went upstairs to take a bath. Zachary washed his face as soon as he opened the door because it was eight o’clock in the morning.

He quickly took the uniform and other things from the walk-in closet because he was going to take a bath in the guest room. Because if he waited for Samarra to finish, they might be late for their first class.

After obtaining the necessities, Zachary placed the guest room keys in the hidden cabinet and exited the room.

Samarra dressed and groomed herself as soon as she exited the bathroom. Today is their first day of regular class in full uniform. When the room door unexpectedly opened and Zachary entered, Samarra wore socks. Samarra couldn’t help but notice Zachary’s hair until his shoes matched perfectly.

“It’s okay to blink, love.”

Samarra took a deep breath and pretended to be bored while staring at Zachary.

“I just looked-”

“No need to explain. Because I know you find me handsome to me.”

“Okay.”

“What, okay?” Zachary was perplexed.

“You mentioned that you were attractive. So, I said, okay. You’re handsome. Wait? Where did you take your bath?”

“If I wait for you after taking a bath, we might be late.”

Zachary’s words made Samarra roll her eyes. Is he trying to tell her something? What made him think she was sluggish? Tsk. Samarra combed her hair and shook her head.

“Love, why are your belongings on the bed again?” Samarra’s gaze was drawn to the bed.

“I’ll switch the bag.”

“I’m hoping you clean it first.”

Samarra became enraged and grabbed the bag Zachary was holding.

“Who told you to clean up my mess? Can you tell I’m still fixing it? I’ll look into it as well. What do you think? I’m not a fan of your attitude. You will clean, but you have a lot to say.”

Samarra quickly stuffed her belongings into the bag she intended to use. She then replaced the bag in her bag cabinet. Samarra left the room without looking back after she finished.

Zachary stumbled up and took a deep breath before turning on and adjusting the comforter. When he was finished, he grabbed the bag and dashed down the stairs to catch up with Samarra. Samarra’s behavior has changed since yesterday, and he has no idea where he will be.

Could she not hear what you said? Zachary is drawn to one of the parts.

Impossible because Samarra just came out of the bathroom, going down the stairs against another part of his mind.

In the living room, he noticed Samarra’s bag. So, his foot directed him to the study room, where Samarra frequently stayed.

“Please make room for me to get there. I don’t mind. Just find a way.”

Samarra’s angry language hampered Zachary’s proper entry as she faced the laptop. He counted before knocking as he slowly closed the door.

e going to be late, Ara.”

Soon after, Samarra appeared and passed him. As he followed Samarra, Zachary took a deep breath and shook his head. He seemed to need a lot of patience on Monday morning.

She barely looks at him until he and Samarra get into the car.

Samarra turned to face Zachary, who had one hand in front of her. When Samarra stared at him, he smiled, but she accepted his hand, and he folded.

“Are you mad?” Zachary said this while is kissing Samarra’s hand.

“I apologize.”

When Samarra apologized to Zachary, he nodded and tightened his grip on her hand.

“You’re forgiven, and I’ll wait for you to go to the grocery store after we leave the parking lot.” Samarra smiled at him and took his hand in hers.

“Could you drop me off there?”

Zachary’s brow furrowed in response to what Samarra said. Their car is about to enter the University when she points to where she will drop, so Zachary intends to direct it to the parking lot.

“May I ask why?”

“Because you mentioned that no one should be aware that we are married here at school.”

“So?”

“It just is.”Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

When Samarra got out of his car, Zachary did nothing. She didn’t even say goodbye to him because she didn’t look at him.
