I love you till the end, Mr. Buenavista

WISH

Zachary was numb because Samarra had slept on his shoulder for two hours, and they had been waiting outside the Emergency Room for two hours, but the OB staring at Claudel had still not come out. He wanted to take Samarra home so she could rest adequately, but his conscience wouldn’t let him abandon Claudel.

He called Claudel’s parents, but they were out of the country. Her manager, Rance Punzalan, promised to come immediately, but Rance had been missing for more than an hour.

He sighed and shifted Samarra’s head to lean against his chest to keep her from falling off. He returned his gaze to Samarra’s gentle face, never tiring of it. He kissed her tear-swollen eyes with tenderness.

He noticed the OB come out to look at Claudel as she approached him, smiling. She said Claudel and the baby are fine but can’t go home because the mother and baby are still being monitored. After all, the baby is frail. Claudel must be transferred to the Private Room and rest for three days because OB will examine them further until their condition is proven before being discharged.

He felt relieved that Samarra no longer had to worry about them. All he had to do was talk to Claudel profoundly and make her understand that Samarra was no longer bothering him. He doesn’t want Samarra to cry and be upset, especially since he is the source of the problem. He first closed his eyes to sleep.

A gentle pat awakened Zachary on the cheek. He opened his eyes to see Samarra’s lovely face. Her eyes were still puffy, but she was smiling at him.

“Are you still feeling sleepy?” Samarra inquired softly. Because he could smell her fragrant breath, he closed his eyes.

Perhaps they were not in the hospital.

He would have tried to kiss her with his lips. When he was sure that no one was in either aisle, he drew Samarra closer to him.

“Cadde-”

When he kissed her lips, Samarra couldn’t say anything else.

“I love you, wife,” he said, parting their lips. He even pressed his brow against theirs.

“I love you as well, hubby.” Samarra’s smile made his heart beat faster as time passed. Even though he only received a simple, I love you, his feelings for Samarra grew. His reaction was very different. It may sound gay, but he is overjoyed. Damn!

“Let’s go, love,” he said to Samarra, “let’s go to Claudel before we go home.”

Because Zachary believes that if he does not remove Samarra, he will be unable to kiss her.

He could see Samarra’s doubt on her face as they were across from Claudel’s room. He turned to face her and touched both of her shoulders.

“Love, before we go home, we need to talk to Claudel.”

Samarra bowed and questioned his words.

“Cadden, I’ll wait here for you; I can’t go inside. It might not be nice if Claudel saw me again.”

Zachary nodded and sighed. He understood Samarra’s reluctance to meet with Claudel.

“Are you sure?” he inquired.

He didn’t want to go into Claudel’s room if Samarra didn’t want to because he didn’t want Samarra to think negatively and cry again.

“Yeah, I’ll just wait for you here.”

Before entering, he grabbed Samarra, hugged her tightly, and kissed her.

When Zachary entered, he noticed Claudel looking at him and smiling.

“Zach, you’re here.”

Claudel even raised her hand to reach for it.

“Yeah, I’m here.”

He took her hand and held it for a moment before slowly releasing it.

“How are you?”

“I’m fine, but my OB told me to stay here for three days.”

“That’s wonderful news, and I’m happy for you. By the way, congratulations.”

“Zach, I love-”

He didn’t finish what Claudel was going to say because it didn’t matter. And nothing will change for them.

“Margarette, you already know I’m not leaving Samarra, don’t you?”

He could see how stunned Claudel was by what he said, so he took advantage of it.

“You know I’m not the father of the child you’re carrying; why do you make up a story with my wife?”

“Zach.”

Zachary took a deep breath as he looked at Claudel, who was crying, but he couldn’t feel sorry for her because he was still angry when he saw Samarra crying over her lies.

“Margarette, please… Listen. I love my wife.”

She chuckled.

“So, how is it? Will you give up on me because you already love her? Why does your wife love you? Remember her as the reason Gab left your brother. Oh, no! Did you ask your wife if she loved you? Zach-”

“Stop!”

He stops Claudel.

Zachary closed his eyes and nodded, trying to remind himself to be patient with Claudel because her emotions were running high.

“Margarette, you already know how much I loved you. But you didn’t seem to care about me. You choose your career over me or Rance over me. And I accepted everything you said about getting nothing from me because I didn’t work for our company. And we separated well, so if my wife and I have a problem, we will take care of it, and I will also contact the father of the child you are pregnant with. He said he’d go, but so far, nothing.”

“Zach …”

“I know Rance is the father of that, so you can’t deny me. I’m not sure why you must tell my wife I’m the father of that.”

“Zach.”

“I’ve known for a long time that you have a relationship with your manager. I’m not just talking because I want you to decide; you chose your career more, didn’t you?”

“I apologize, Zach.”

“Please, Margarette, stop bothering us. I became a good friend and boyfriend to you. I hope this is the last time you speak to Samarra because I don’t want my wife to cry because of the lies you tell her. I hope you focus on life with your future child.”

Zachary turned away from Claudel, who began crying louder.

“Zach… Don’t you still love me?” Claudel inquired as to who had prevented him from walking.

“I loved you before, and you know that,” he said without looking back. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Before?! So, it’s gone now?” Claudel’s voice was bitter.

“I apologize… I love my wife more than I love my life.” He continued to walk straight to the door.

“Margarette, I wish you nothing but the best in your life, and I hope this is the last time you cause trouble for us,” he said before leaving.

Claudel couldn’t stop crying. She knew it was all over for them when Zachary came out. It was her fault that she didn’t care about Zachary before. Zachary has feelings for Samarra, which causes her to feel a pang in her chest. She is regretful.
