Chapter 182 Something Happened To Your Brother's Company
Chapter 182 Something Happened To Your Brother's Company
Cherry then drove to the hotel and went to the room where she had already met Jackson for the last
couple of times.
When she arrived in front of the door, Cherry first took a deep breath and then knocked on it.
Jackson opened the door, and he was unsurprised to see her standing there. He turned around and
silently walked into the room.
Cherry didn't say a word and diligently followed him inside.
When she saw Jackson casually sitting on the sofa, Cherry asked him, "Why did you ask me to come
here?"
Looking at Cherry, Jackson ignored her question, and said, "I'll give you two options: to move back with
me in the apartment, or to let Joe live with me."
"No!" immediately said Cherry. She couldn't come back to the apartment, and neither could she let
Jackson take Joe away from her.
Jackson wasn't surprised at all, because he had expected Cherry's response. He looked at her, and
said, "Well? Do you want a third option?"
"I won't move back with you to the apartment, and neither Joe!" said Cherry.
"You don't want to come back there?" asked Jackson. After he thought for a while, he said, "Then come
to the villa. It's renovated, and it's more than enough for three people to live inside it."
"No!" refused Cherry again. "Joe and I won't move back! Don't even think about it!"
Cherry had clearly expressed her intention. How could she possibly move back when her son's future
fate was so unclear inside the Chu Clan? Thinking of Sally, she thought that her fate was also
undecided.
When he saw that Cherry was so stubborn, Jackson stood up from the couch and came closer to her.
He looked at her, and asked, "Cherry, do you really want to die?"
Cherry wasn't afraid of him, and instead she looked into his eyes, and said, "I'll never move back, and
neither will Joe!"
Jackson then suddenly pinched Cherry's chin, and fiercely said, "Cherry, I don't want to blame you for
what happened five years ago, but note that I've already been more than kind to you already. Don't try
to push me!"
Cherry struggled to look at him, and said, "Jackson, I have no plans to move back now."
Cherry's mind was a total mess, since nothing had happened as she expected. She hadn't been
psychologically prepared for this, and she didn't have anything planned out for the future. She had to
take into account a whole lot of things when she thought of her son's fate, because she couldn't afford
to let him suffer not even for a split second.
"Cherry, don't forget, you're my wife, and sooner or later you'll have to come back to the Chu Family, "
said Jackson in an almost crucial, imperative manner. He thought, 'This damn woman, doesn't she
know who she is? Do I really have to remind her?'
"But I don't plan to do that now, " said Cherry reluctantly. As she gazed deep into Jackson's eyes, she
continued, "I know that I'm your wife, and yes, I will go back to you, but not now. Some day maybe..."
"What if I ask you to come back now?" Jackson looked back into Cherry's eyes, and thought in his
mind, "I let you stay away from me for so much time, but I can't keep doing that... Besides, our child is
already five years old, and I didn't even had the chance to see him grow up and know him. Cherry, you
made me lose all these things by running away from me. Do you think that I can still tolerate you living
away from me?'
Cherry became slightly frightened when she looked into Jackson's eyes. It was clear that there was no
room for change in his decisions.
"Jackson, don't push me, I don't want to come back now!" said Cherry.
"Cherry, do you regard my indulgence as being a habit?" asked Jackson. He hadn't forced her to do
anything before, and had allowed her to do everything she wanted, but he couldn't make any more
concessions with her. He was angry with this woman because of what she had hid from him, and he
couldn't tolerate her anymore.
Looking at Jackson, Cherry didn't dare to speak any longer. It seemed that he wanted to kill her.
Jackson then suddenly let Cherry go, turned around, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. He
looked at the scenery outside it, and said, "You have two options, Cherry; which one will you choose?"
Looking at Jackson's back, Cherry became speechless, because neither one of the two options were
favorable. She didn't want to move back to the Chu Family, and she was even more unwilling to let
Jackson take her son away from her.
"If you don't choose the first one, I will implement the second one by force, " said Jackson precisely.
Actually, he hoped that Cherry would choose the first option he offered her, because he wanted her to
come back home and be at his side. Deep down inside he was happy because he had found out that
he had a son, and thought that he could forget what had happened in the past if she returned to his
side, and as long as his son was also by his side, his cold home would become a little more warmer
with the two of them around him.
"No!" said Cherry. She then slowly approached Jackson, and as she looked at his face, said, "Don't
hurt Joe! If you do something to Joe, I will never forgive you, never!"
After she said this, Cherry left.
Jackson didn't stop her, but there was a murderous look flashing in his eyes.
The anger in Jackson's mind suddenly rose to its limit. He said to himself, 'Cherry, you're too stubborn.
I will not tolerate you any longer."
Cherry felt dizzy after she walked out of the hotel. She stood next to the big pillars at it's entrance didn't
know what to do next. 'What will Jackson do?' she wondered. But she had no idea.
Cherry was so desperate and helpless that she wanted to cry her soul out.
After she returned to the company, Cherry could barely work. Selina was somewhat aware of this, but
she didn't say anything to her. After all, Cherry hadn't come to work for a whole week, and she thought
that Cherry might still have something on her mind that she hadn't dealt with yet.
As usual, Cherry sat down with her family to eat dinner after she came back home from work.
Wilson said that he had something to do with some of his friends and needed to go out for a while, but
Cherry didn't pay too much attention to him.
Later in the evening, Joe cleverly nestled in Cherry's arms, and the mother and son were as they
usually were. Cherry told bedtime stories to Joe, saw him fall asleep, and then put the storybook aside.
She felt happy when she looked at her son. Joe was very sensible, and hadn't asked her about
Jackson not even once since he had last seen him in the ward. He seemed to be able to tell that she
was in a bad mood, and he was very considerate with her. Knowing that she had such a wonderful son
made her feel very happy and warmed her heart to it's core.
In the morning, Cherry got up and also woke Joe. After she washed with Joe, she went downstairs and
saw that Elsa was frantically moving around in the living room.
Cherry immediately knew that something had happened.
She walked into the living room and looked at Elsa, and asked, "Mom, what's wrong? What
happened?" Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
Her mother anxiously held her hand, and said, "Cherr, it's your brother...something happened to your
brother's company."
