Chapter 10 Jessie Cho
Chapter 10 Jessie Cho
"Atlas, do you know who he is? He's Mr. Kimmerly Junior!" Tammy pointed at Atlas and snapped.
"Not only did you turn down Mr. Kimmerly Junior's invitation, but you drove him away! If the Kimmerly
family was offended, can you afford the consequences?!"
Atlas glanced impatiently at Tammy, and he couldn't have understood her mind better.
Tammy's father, Flynn Cho, was the eldest in the Cho family, but hadn't made much of a living. He
worked in a private company and barely made ends meet.
The second in the Cho family was Francis, who was married to Giorgio Sinclair.
Francis' little brother was Jessie Cho, who joined the Ronald Group after graduation and earned
hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
The Ronald Group was the leading company in Lanceham and the benefits were so good that
everyone wanted to get in.
The Cho family was always proud to have Jessie working at the Ronald Group. Relatives and friends
often flattered Jessie and made Flynn jealous.
Flynn had been trying to get into the Ronald Group but had not been able to do so, so this had become
Flynn's regret.
Tammy had been hearing about it since she was young and understood what her dad had in mind. So
when she saw that Chase Kimmerly was trying to curry favor with Atlas, she instantly wanted to pull the
strings.
But what she didn’t expect was that Atlas would even dare to offend Mr. Kimmerly Junior!
Tammy was furious that Atlas had ruined her chance.
"Go and apologize to Mr. Kimmerly Junior and beg him to forgive you!" Tammy hoped it could still be
done.
Atlas said indifferently, "You want me to apologize to him? He doesn't deserve it!"
He tilted his head slightly and looked up at the sky. His voice was indifferent and firm, "Whoever he is, if
I don't want to see him, I won't!"
"You think I don't know what you're having in mind?" Atlas threw Tammy a glance, and all of a sudden
Tammy felt that all her secrets were exposed to Atlas, and she was like transparent, totally seen-
through!
" You're impossible! I'm going to tell my cousin! Just you wait!"
Tammy was so mad at Atlas and she failed to think straight. Because of her preconceived notion about
Atlas, she didn’t notice even that Chase was trying to impress Atlas, so if she wanted to impress
Chase, she could have just gone to Atlas.
Chase had left, and Harvey was too embarrassed to stay. He gave Atlas a cold glare and said with a
grim look on his face, "We'll see about that, brat!"
With that, he led Hank and the rest of his classmates away.
One of the girls shouted at Zoee, "Zoee, let's go!"
Zoee looked at Atlas with a mixture of excitement and unfamiliarity, as if she was reacquainting herself
with Atlas for the first time.
And she felt that this was what she expected the most from Atlas.
"Atlas, Jenny called me. I'm going back first!"
Atlas remembered that Zoee's family might get into trouble, so he added, "Save my mobile number. If
there’s anything you can't solve, just call me!"
"Yeah, I'll remember it!" Zoee smiled brightly and left happily.
Tammy ran over to Viviana and interrupted her chat with Tobias.
Tammy talked to them while still glowering at Atlas, supposedly telling him off.
Viviana also noticed that Atlas was looking at her, and for some reason, she blushed with shame.
Tobias gave Atlas a glance with a hint of contempt in his eyes.
The two continued to talk for a while. Probably because they felt it was inappropriate to flirt with each
other in front of Atlas, Tobias left.
After all this, Tammy was not interested in riding anymore and dragged Viviana away.
Atlas continued to follow them from a distance, looking calm and impassive.
The three of them returned to the Sinclair family and Tammy started to complain to Francis about Atlas'
behavior again.
When Giorgio learned that Atlas had offended Chase, he slammed the newspaper on the coffee table
and pointed at Atlas with trembling fingers.
"You, you, you are so ignorant! How dare you offend Mr. Kimmerly Junior! If the Sinclair family is
retaliated by the Kimmerly family for this, I'll break your legs and throw you to the Kimmerlys. You'll be
at their disposal!"
Francis glared at Giorgio and scolded, "Giorgio, what are you talking about? It's Atlas' freedom to
accept or not accept Mr. Kimmerly Junior's invitation. He didn't do anything wrong on this matter."
"Besides, the Kimmerly family hasn't said anything yet. But now you say something so hurtful!"
Francis walked over to Atlas and took his hand, "Atlas, ignore him. I'll help you if anything happens!"
Tammy was furious. Her aunt was too protective of Atlas.
Giorgio shot Francis an angry glare, "You're so protecting him. Don't you think we can afford to offend
the Kimmerly family? And such a great opportunity to make friends with the Kimmerly family is being
wasted by this brat! Do you know how many people dream of befriending the Kimmerly family? Damn
you, bastard!" Giorgio went straight to his room in rage.
Viviana just gave Atlas a cold glance and didn't say anything. Atlas didn't even care about offending
Ronald Kimmerly in the morning, let alone his butler.
"It's not at all surprising that he would do such a thing. If he were sane, he wouldn't be in the mess he
is today. Tammy, come with me. Let my parents deal with this matter!"
Tammy was upset, but she knew she had nothing to say in front of the elders, so she simply went into
the room with Viviana.
Francis reassured Atlas, "Atlas, don't worry. Nothing's going to happen. Even if the Kimmerly family is
powerful, they are not unreasonable. I'm here for you. Don't worry!"
"No, I'm not worried. Auntie, rest assured. Even if I've offended the Kimmerly family, they wouldn't dare
do anything to me." Atlas said with a casual smile.
Francis frowned, thinking that Atlas had suddenly become a bit arrogant, but much better than before
when he was lonely and self-contemptuous.
Francis was genuinely looking out for Atlas.
"That's good," Francis said with a smile.
"You can go back to the spare room and get some rest. We have to go to your uncle's dinner party in
the evening."
"Okay."
Atlas went to the other room. He didn't bother to know what Viviana and Tammy were talking about in
their bedroom.
At five in the afternoon, Giorgio drove the family to the Sealada Hotel.
The Sealada Hotel was one of the best hotels in Lanceham and Jessie had gone to great lengths to Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
show off.
At 5.40, Giorgio parked his car with the security guard's guidance and started calling Jessie.
"I'm at the Sealada Hotel. Where are you?"
A glib man's voice replied, "Brother-in-law, come straight to Dragon & Phoenix Hall!"
Giorgio had been here once, but it was someone else's treat. He himself could not afford to eat here.
When he heard it was in the Dragon & Phoenix Hall, he immediately smiled, "The most exclusive room
in the Sealada Hotel is the Dragon & Phoenix Hall. It looks like Jessie has really made it this time."
Guided by the waiter, Giorgio led the family to the largest private room around the corner. The door was
decorated with golden dragons and phoenixes, making it look magnificent.
The large round table, which could seat twenty people, was already half packed.
Atlas knew them all. Flynn Cho and his wife Sharon, Jessie who were standing up to greet Giorgio,
while Jessie's wife Hannah was sitting with a smile on her face and showing off something to Sharon.
There were also a few of Jessie's close friends. A few relatives from Hannah’s family had also arrived.
After pleasantries, nearly all the guests had arrived and everyone took their seat.
However, Jessie did invite quite a few people tonight. There were also a lot of children, who were all
taking up seats. But it was enough to arrange the seats properly.
Jessie was the host and the seats were arranged by him.
But when Jessie had finished settling everyone, even the children, he left Atlas standing alone in the
room.
