Chapter 13 What If We Don't Leave?
Chapter 13 What If We Don't Leave?
Jessie's face paled. Before Anthony said anything, he looked at Francis with a pleading face, almost
crying out, "What are you doing? Don't speak to Mr. Renner like that! Are you trying to get me fired?"
Jessie asked and stamped his feet anxiously.
Francis glared at Jessie, and yelled with a righteous look, "We Chos do the right things and that's
enough. We don't need to seek approval from other people!"
Jessie was almost crying. It would be better if Francis killed him.
Anthony ignored Francis and looked at Jessie with a sneer. "Mr. Cho, is she speaking up for you?"
Jessie hurriedly explained, "Please listen to me... My sister has something wrong with her mind. Please
don't get her wrong. We'll leave right away and make room for you!"
He said as he cast a glance at Giorgio for help.
He persuaded, "I'm begging you, Sis. Please stay away from this, OK?"
Francis was even angrier. "They were being unreasonable! We were in the middle of eating! Why did
they get to take our place? It's not like we aren't gonna pay for this place. First arrive, first served!"
"Easy up a bit, would you? Do you want to make your brother lose his job?" Giorgio said. He looked a
bit helpless, too. Francis was as stubborn as she always was.
"Mom, this is my uncle's business, you should let him decide!" Viviana persuaded.
"Yes, Francis. Let him make the decision!" Francis's father added.
Francis glared at those people and thought they had no principle at all, but she didn't want to lose her
family because of her principle, either.
She had no choice but to turn her head away and stop talking.
Anthony's face then eased up. He was glad that Francis had made the right choice. "That's right. Now
that you've reached an agreement, please move."
The bustling room suddenly fell in silence. Being kicked out of the room during the meal was not a thing
to cheer for.
"Wait, who said we are leaving?" A voice suddenly came up, which sounded very abrupt in the quiet
room.
Everyone was looking to the direction of the speaker.
Seeing it was Atlas who had spoken, Jessie was ticked off.
He knew the little bastard was getting back at him!
"Shut up. It's not your place to speak!" Jessie yelled as he pointed his fingers at Atlas.
"Sit down, young man. Don't be so arrogant!" Jessie's friend sneered disdainfully.
Giorgio glared at Atlas and yelled, "Atlas, you don't get to talk here! Have some respect!" Giorgio had
been looking for a chance to scold Atlas.
Jessie's wife Hannah stared at Atlas with a disgusted expression and turned to Francis, "You should
really teach your son-in-law some manners!"
Seeing everyone accusing Atlas, Tammy seized the opportunity and said, "He has also offended Mr.
Kimmerly Junior today!"
"What!"
Jessie screamed as if he had seen a ghost. Mr. Kimmerly Junior is the man that even Anthony Renner
had to respect!
"You little bastard, are you sick of living? How dare you offend Mr. Kimmerly Junior?" Jessie swore.
Other people were also scolding and yelling. Atlas is now the center of hatred in the hall, targeted by
everyone. From NôvelDrama.Org.
Anthony looked at Atlas. His eyes turned cold because he knew the consequence of offending Chase
Kimmerly, which would be much more serious than offending him.
Atlas was now in his social blacklist.
Viviana looked at Atlas. The disgust in her eyes had reached its limits. She thought to herself: "This
loser is trying to play tough again? He had accidentally saved Ronald's son, but does he really think
that made him qualified to mess up with the executives of the Ronald Group?"
Francis also looked at Atlas in confusion. She didn't know what he was doing.
Atlas gave Francis an eye hint. He darted his gaze at Jessie and quickly moved away.
Then Atlas looked at Anthony with a calm face, "We don't want to leave because my mother-in-law
doesn't want to."
The crowd then scolded him even louder.
Jessie was even angrier. He stepped forward and slapped Atlas on the face. "You're doing this on
purpose, aren't you? I'll kill you!"
Francis wanted to stop him, but Jessie moved so suddenly that she didn't have the time.
"Jessie, what are you doing?" Francis scolded.
When Jessie's hand was about to land on Atlas's face, Anthony and other people were staring with
anticipation.
However, Atlas suddenly raised his hand and firmly grasped Jessie's wrist.
Then he ditched Jessie's hands away. Jessie lost balance and nearly fell to the ground.
Atlas looked at him coldly. "You would be dead now if it weren't for Francis' sake!"
Jessie was startled. Atlas was no longer the coward that everybody could bully. He looked like a beast
that had been starving for days.
Jessie somehow believed that what Atlas said just now was true.
"Atlas, how could you use force against an elder?" Giorgio scolded.
Atlas calmly replied, "Didn't you see that he started it first?"
Giorgio didn't know how to retort back.
Anthony looked at Atlas and said with a sullen face, "Young man, he's the head of the HR Department
of the Ronald Group. You're offending the whole corporation by doing that."
Anthony didn't make any move because instinct told him that Atlas was not to be messed with. He
didn't dare to act rashly, so he started to threaten Atlas in name of the Ronald Group.
Giorgio roared, "Atlas, you've already offended Mr. Kimmerly Junior. Are you sure you want to piss off
Anthony? Are you trying to destroy this family?"
Atlas hadn't considered that much. His only goal was to make Francis happy.
Since Francis didn't want to give up the hall, Atlas decided to side with her. He couldn't care less about
what other people would think.
Atlas looked at Anthony, shaking his head and saying, "You don't get to speak for Ronald. I was with
him this morning. I wouldn't say things like 'offending the whole corporation' if I were you. And I
wouldn't mind offending the Ronald Group if I have to!"
Anthony sneered, "Don't be an idiot. How could a man like you have the chance to meet Kimmerly?"
The onlookers started to murmur. "Is he crazy? He said he had met Mr. Kimmerly? Why would Mr.
Kimmerly humble himself to do that?"
"Atlas, stop humiliating yourself!" Viviana finally couldn't stand this anymore. She yelled with a sullen
face.
"You don't believe me?" Atlas looked at the crowd and suddenly grinned a smile. "Right, Ronald gave
me a card. Do you recognize this?"
He said as he took out the Violet Gold Card and threw it on the table.
"Is he nuts? What's that supposed to mean?" The onlookers looked at Atlas with confusion in his eyes.
They thought he must have lost his mind due to the humiliation.
"Francis, take your son-in-law to the hospital and get him tested!" Hannah sneered with a smirk on her
face.
However, Anthony suddenly froze. He stepped forward and picked up the card. Then his face changed
drastically.
"This, this is Mr. Kimmerly's Supreme Violet Cold Card! He mentioned to me that the owner of the card
would be one of those that he respected the most!"
Anthony looked at Atlas, now in a respectful way.
"You're Mr. Kimmerly's VIP! I was too blind to have offended you! Please forgive me, sir!" Anthony
bowed to Atlas and apologized. Even his tone had changed.
The place fell in total silence. All the others had frozen when they saw what had happened.
