Let Me Go, My Mafia Husband

Chapter 559

Chapter 559 Became More Dangerous

The guests stood frozen, enveloped in a silence so profound that even the faintest sound seemed to echo. Alexander's declaration had stunned them all. "Mate!!!"

Arabella's wolf unleashed a haunting howl, resonating with a wild fervor that echoed Alexander's proclamation. It meant only one thing.

"Fated mates..." The words drifted amid the astounded onlookers.

"The first fated mates!" A murmur rippled through the crowd.

"How... how can this be?" The disbelief in the whispered conversations was palpable.

"It's impossible!"

"She is already mated to King Zephyr!"

"It must be a mistake," echoed several voices in rapid succession.

Arabella and Alexander stood, equally shocked. Their wolves surged within, urging them to stake their claim, to mark each other before the assembled guests. But before they could act, Zephyr's commanding roar shattered the charged atmosphere. "Arabella, regain control!" His voice thundered with urgency, attempting to rein her in as she struggled against his grasp, her instincts urging her to break free and run toward her fated mate.

"You are my mate, my Queen. How can you feel this way for another male?" His voice trembled with hurt.

Arabella was speechless. She couldn't understand what was happening to her. She had never felt like this before; her wolf was agitated, and she couldn't control it.

"She is my MATE," Alexander growled fiercely, staking his claim.

"No, you're a fucking liar!" Zephyr bellowed. "She is my queen, and you're trying to steal her because that's your nature," he accused his stepbrother.

"I'm not fucking lying. It's fucking true, and it's decided by the Moon Goddess. Who the fuck are you to deny it?" Alpha Alexander bared his teeth.

The atmosphere crackled with tension as if a war were about to erupt.

The Elders of the Wolf community were present at the Gala and stepped forward in support of their Alpha king.

"King Zephyr, we understand it's agonizing for you, but if your queen is Alpha Alexander's mate, you must let her go. They are the first true mates in our history," an elder spoke.

"No, that's not true. I know Alpha King Alexander has manipulated everyone and made them believe his false story," Zephyr refused stubbornly to believe it.

"Then what about Queen Arabella? Why is she feeling the same as Alpha Alexander?" Elder countered.

"Because she is under the effect of an enchantment," Zephyr snapped furiously. "I am sure when she comes out of the spell, she won't want to be with him," he declared.

"Arabella, look at me," Zephyr demanded, forcing her to break eye contact with Alexander. "You are my queen, and you want to be with me, right?" He didn't let her speak and dragged her out of the Gala, locking her in the palace and banning Alexander from entering his kingdom.

He closed off all the way so they could not see each other.

Alpha Alexander was ready to fight for his mate, but he didn't want Arabella to get hurt in this fight. He had to know what she wanted.

So, he tried a way to send a secret message to her. He asked her to meet him once but Arabella refused.

He sent a message again and said if she didn't want to be with him he would accept her rejection and would leave forever. Arabella agreed to meet him this time because she also wanted to end this misery.

But she was conflicted. If she asked for King Zephyr's permission, he would never allow her to go and meet Alpha Alexander. But if she wanted closure, she had to meet him and reject him.

So, she secretly left the palace with the help of her loyal maid. She thought she would return before King Zephyr returned and he would never know about it.

With nervous steps and hesitation in

her heart, she went to meet Alpha Alexander. She was determined to reject him the moment she saw him, but when she actually faced him, she forgot her purpose. Her wolf whimpered again with restlessness, yearning for her mate's touch. Her heart pounded, whether from fear or excitement, she couldn't tell, but the next thing she knew, Alexander was close to her in the blink of an eye, taking her into his muscular arms.

**************

Unknown to Arabella and Alexander, Zephyr was planning something far more dangerous.

In the shadows of Zephyr's abode lay his clandestine chamber, a place shrouded in darkness and mystery. The air hung heavy with the scent incense, casting a faint haze that obscured the room's edges. The chamber's walls, etched with obscure symbols and ancient runes, seemed to pulsate with an eerie,

subdued glow as if whispering

secrets of forgotten times.

At the heart of this dim space lay a ritualistic altar, crafted from obsidian stone veined with traces of iridescent minerals that glinted in the scant light. Upon the altar, a brazier blazed with flickering flames that danced and cast sinister shadows across the chamber's walls. Zephyr stood before the brazier, an enigmatic silhouette against the fiery glow. Clad in dark robes adorned with arcane symbols, he chanted in a hushed tone, invoking words spoken in an ancient language. His hands, steady yet filled with an otherworldly energy, traced intricate patterns in the air as he summoned the essence of ancient powers.

With deliberate reverence, Zephyr made his offering-an item of significance, perhaps a relic from ages past-placing it ceremoniously within the flames. He then reached for a shimmering, ornate dagger, its blade pulsating with an ethereal aura With a swift, practiced motion, he drew the blade across his palm, a luminous arc trailing in its wake. A few drops of his blood sizzled as they made contact with the searing heat of the fire, releasing an acrid scent that mingled with the incense. noveldrama

As the room crackled with arcane energy, a presence began to manifest-a faint, ominous hum reverberated through the chamber. The very air seemed to quiver as the fabric between worlds thinned, heralding the imminent arrival of the warlock God, Zythorath. In that moment, the chamber brimmed with a palpable intensity, a convergence of dark energies and forbidden knowledge. Zephyr, his eyes alight with fervor and determination, stood poised to commune with the ancient deity as Zythorath, the Warlock God, appeared in the air. "What do you seek, my devoted one?" inquired Zythorath.

Zephyr bowed deeply. "Oh, Zythorath! If my devotion to your worship pleases you, grant my desires."

"Speak," commanded Zythorath.

"I wish to cast a curse so potent that it transcends life and death, an unshakable affliction," confessed Zephyr, revealing his dangerous and sinful intention.
