Letting My Brother's Best Friend Take My V-Card (Jessie and Luke)

I clutched the blanket around my body and almost sprinted to grab my keys and shoes that were near the door. I needed to get out. I needed to get away from him. Tugging the door open, I almost shrieked when I saw two people standing outside. I heard Luke come up behind me. "Jessica, please just-"

Then he went quiet, and I went rigid. It was his parents, which meant my parents were probably home as well. Luke's voice was ice cold and had a bite to it. "Mom, Father."

His parents stood there, their expressions a mix of surprise and

concern.

His mother looked from me to Luke, her brow furrowing slightly. "Jessica. Dear. I haven't seen you in ages. Look how lovely you are!" His mother pulled me into a hug, and I let her, giving Luke a side glance.

His father was less warm. "Son. Jessica. I hope the house is still intact," he said sternly, then looked behind us. I followed his gaze into the living room. The only evidence of anything was the pillow I had slept on. The rest of the place looked pristine, almost like a hospital. I tried to compose myself, tightening the blanket around me and forcing a polite smile. "Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. I was just leaving."

"Jessica, you don't have to-" Luke started, but I shot him a glare that silenced him.

"I need to get home," I said firmly my voice trembling despite my effort to keep it steady.

Luke's mother's eyes softened as she took in the scene, something like understanding dawning on her face. That made the shame bloom across my cheeks, and the pit in my stomach just grew. "It's so good to see you. You three used to be so close. The three musketeers 1 knew it.

I slinked past his father, who just stared at Luke with his arms crossed. "Son. Get your mother's bags, would you?" was all I heard as I ran across the driveway, my heart pounding in my chest.

The cold morning air hit me as I stepped outside, and I hurried to put on my shoes, fumbling with the laces. Luke's presence was still behind me, a silent shadow.

"Jessica, wait," he pleaded, his voice softer now, but I couldn't look at him.

I yanked the front door open and slid inside my house, not even giving him a second look. I was too ashamed, too hurt, and too broken. But there was a nagging feeling inside my chest that something had happened between Luke and his father. I could feel it vibrate between them, not that he would tell me

anything. I snorted at the thought and dropped the blanket in the foyer before stalking to the kitchen.

I could hear voices-my parents' voices-and when I rounded a corner, they were

there. They were in the kitchen, making pancakes like it was the most normal thing in the world. My heart warmed immediately, and I ran to my mom for a hug. My dad joined in and kissed me on the forehead.

"Hey, sweetie pie. Missed you, kiddo!" he mumbled.

My mother swatted him. "She's not a kiddo anymore. She's a lady."

I beamed at them, happy to have them home but too afraid to ask how long they were staying.

Josh cleared his throat behind me, and I turned around,

grabbing a pancake from a plate on the kitchen island. "Where's Laura?" I asked, making sure my tone was casual.

Josh squirmed a little, and I smirked, knowing I had just made him uncomfortable. Both my parents suddenly focused on Josh, who glared at me. I gave him a toothy grin with a half-masticated piece of pancake rolling around in my mouth. "Uh, she went home," he said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

I almost choked on my pancake, laughing so hard. Josh pinned me with a stare that said, "Shut the hell up."

My dad looked between us, clearly puzzled. "Is everything okay, you two?"

I nodded, still trying to swallow my laughter. "Yeah, Dad. Just sibling stuff."

Josh rolled his eyes but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Yeah, just sibling stuff."

As the atmosphere lightened, I felt a pang of guilt and glanced out the window at the boy next door. A quick flash of Luke's face between my thighs flooded my thoughts, and my cheeks heated up instantly.noveldrama

"Still crushing on Luke?" My mother pulled me from my thoughts. But for now, I focused on my family, cherishing this moment of normalcy amidst the chaos.

"What? No! Why would you even..." I was a little flustered and realized that if I was going to be defensive right now, Josh would know something was up, so I played it cool. "I mean, please. He's basically my brother," I rolled my eyes and hoped they believed me. CHAPTER 41
