Pay the cops an anonymous visit

Jarod allowed Granny’s call to ring its full span until it ended and he still did not pick. But Granny was a stubborn woman so she called the second time and this time he picks

“Hello Granny, so I was doing some chores in the kitchen and that was the reason I couldn’t pick the call” he lied to avoid being dragged by Granny but that was beside the reason she called.

“How are you my dear, I haven’t been seeing you around. I do hope you’re fine?”

“Yes I am, I’ve just been very busy lately and the truth is, Lily and I are not really talking terms so I didn’t really think it would be necessary to he around her”

“She’s the reason I called Jarod, something is seriously wrong but she has refused to tell me anything, I thought maybe she would open up to you instead”This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

“I…I ummm don’t think that’s a good idea Granny, I doubt Lily would want to even see me not to talk or speak to me…I doubt that’s ever gonna happen” he tries to evade the request but Granny remains persistent.

“I don’t know what happened between the both of you but one thing I do know is friends don’t show up for friends when they need them and you guys are even best of friends remember?” Jarod would try to evade again but Granny would still persist “she hasn’t been sleeping Jarod, she barely even eats and I’m afraid something might happen to her. Please come and talk to her for my sake”

“Oh my! Now that’s serious. Alright Granny I’ll come and see her as soon as possible alright? Please stop worrying, I’m sure she’ll be fine”

Jarod came in as early as 6am that morning and could obviously notice from first glance that something was definitely wrong with me.

“Baby girl” he called me by the pet name he gave me.

My eyes widened as I narrowed my gaze to see him. His square face was flushed and ruddy but it did very little to hide the worry that now made up his face. I was surprised to see and almost immediately sensed that Granny had something to do with being here.

“What are you doing here Jarod” I asked with a surprised look on my face and laggy eyes.

” I came as soon as I could. Granny told me something was wrong with you and from what I can see, she wasn’t wrong, you look like those pastries we’d make that didn’t come out well. What’s the matter Lily?”

“It’s (baby daddy), he’s back Jarod” I said as my chin sunk into my collar bone.

“Wait what! I’m out of your life for just how long and the long lost lover returns?” He says with a sprinkle of humor but I do not respond, I only continue to narrate.

“That’s not even where it gets worse, (baby daddy) and Cayden were in a serious fight with each other because of me, they…” Jarod cuts me off before I could say anything

“You see! I told you that Cayden guy was no good for you Lily, good for nothing piss of shit… ha his already fighting cus he knows his going to get replaced and his sorcery over you would end, I’m not surprised honestly” Jarod says in obvious satisfaction

“Look at this first, I’m sure you’d feel differently now…” Jarod opens the file and starts flipping through its pages as his eyes widens “this was one of the reasons they were fighting. Cayden told me (baby daddy) wasn’t a good man but I refused to believe him, I thought he was just being petty and immature” he was now feeling different about both men and it showed as his eye scanned through every page

“Lily this is a lot” He says as his face now becomes pale like he had seen a ghost.

“I’m confused, Jarod, I don’t know what to do. I don’t feel safe and I don’t feel my Candy and Granny are safe either. He has even been trailing me around town. I always notice him at places not too far from where I am and when I catch his gaze he immediately bolts away. I fear he might do something to me or my baby one of this days Jarod, what do I do!?”

“We need to call the police Lily, that’s what we need to do. This guy is a criminal and the sooner we do something about this him the better. Who knows what evil deed he has planned for you guys”

“That’s the problem Jarod, I can’t just go to the cops. What if he has someone there? From the way he arrogantly carries himself around, I would not be surprised if he knew someone there and if he gets to find out I’m the one who reported him to the police, he might try to harm myself oe my family… I’m scared Jarod”

“Yeah, you have a point there…” he takes a pause and then continues “bit we can’t just do nothing Lily and I feel the police are the only ones that can really do anything at this point”

“But I don’t…”

“There is no but Lily, we have to do this, it’s the right thing to do”

“Alright fine, we’ll do it… but on one condition”

“And what could that condition?” He hesitates his joy

“We’d have to do it anonymously, I cherish the safety of every member and I will absolutely not jeopardize it”

“Sure, that’s fine but how do we do that though?”

“We could just put copies of the evidence in a file and send it to the police station through an anonymous mail, I think that should work”

“Yeah it should, let’s do that immediately then”
