Chapter 119

LILY’S POV

Cayden had fulfilled his promise, even though I did not think much about it. I was so happy as I thought of getting more supplies and getting new cooking ingredients.

I appreciated Cayden and hugged him so tight that we both chuckled.

The next day, I was so eager to go to my restaurant, I got there early and began to cook the day’s menu. I was humming my favorite song and cooking. Of course, I was in a good mood. I began to dance while cooking and was careful with other things in the kitchen.

After I was done cooking, I began to see people strolling in and then, in the twinkle of an eye, many people had strolled into my shop as usual. I was so happy I had employed Jarod back, as I needed hands to serve and satisfy the customers.

Having Jarod was nice as he knew how to handle the job well and was not lazy. We both hummed as we went on about our work, and we looked at each other and chuckled. It seemed like we were back to being friends, and I loved the air and surrounding aura. It was a delightful one.

I looked around to see their expressions, I could see that they were really pleased with my cooking skills. Most of them were nodding their heads in satisfaction and admitted to the fact that I was an excellent cook and that the food was so good, it tasted exquisite.

Most of them added tips and some thanked me for the food as they had not eaten such lovely food in a while. I was happy to hear such compliments, it made me feel good and confident about myself. I had also sent Jarod to help me get more supplies and other things I needed.

CAYDEN’S POV

I was happy with the move I made yesterday, I had made her feel on top of the world. Happiness was yesterday’s theme, if anyone had asked me.

I also came around to get food, but more importantly, it was an excuse to see her beautiful face and lovely smile. I was also promoting the food by talking about it to those I sat with, and was even making a video of myself to post on social media.

Then I asked Lily to go with me on a picnic data which she agreed to, she was so happy to hear that. When we got to where we planned our picnic, we had a lot of fun and laughed a lot.

We played both childhood games and popular games. I ran after Lily a lot and I caught her most of the time, it was so funny to notice that she purposely did not run fast, so I could catch her. She loved that because whenever I caught her, I always hugged her from the back and kissed her neck.

After a while, we sat down to enjoy the snacks, and we began talking about many things. I was good at making her laugh and I know it because she laughed countless times.

Then we discovered we had finished the snacks and wanted more, so I decided to get snacks for both of us. I stood up and left Lily, hoping to get back to her as fast as possible, so she won’t get bored.

Lily brought out her phone and started taking pictures and videos, she was smiling brightly, and the breeze was moving her hair lightly.

“Hey, hello,” a stranger greeted.

“Hi,” she replied.

“Hi, I am Mike and you are?” Mike asked.

“I am Lily,” she replied.

“Nice name. You look so beautiful, I must confess,” Mike complimented.

“Thank you,” lily smiled.

“Mind if I stay for a while?” Mike asked.

“Uhm, no problem. But I came with someone, in case the person is back, you understand what I mean, right?” She asked.

“Yeah, I totally get,” he said.

CAYDEN’S POV

I was delayed at where I went to get snacks, their snacks were fantastic, so they had plenty of customers coming back. When I was able to get the snacks, I was happy and then began to walk back to our spot.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

From a distance, I could see our spot. Then as I got closer, I discovered that Lily was laughing at a stranger’s jokes and worst of all, it was a man. I was furious and approached them faster.

“Hey man, fuck off!” I said, beaming with anger.

“Hey, that is rude,” Mike said.

“Cayden, he means no harm,” Lily said.

“I don’t care, I think I said you should leave this instant!” Cayden barked.

Mike didn’t take it lightly, as he didn’t appreciate Cayden’s tone and manner of approach. This got Cayden angry the more, he was fuming in anger, and he started showing signs that he was going to start a fight soon.

“Uhm… Mike, I actually came with him. Please, no offense, kindly leave,” lily said.

“I’m sorry, but you are going out with a really rude guy. How is that attractive to you?” He said as he left.

Cayden was still fuming in anger, but lily calmed him down with a kiss. Cayden felt so relieved with what she did.

“You really need to calm down, he is not taking me away from you. We came here together, and would leave together,” lily said.

I felt butterflies in my tummy and I could literally feel myself smiling and blushing. All I needed were those sweet words from Lily, and they were enough to soothe me.

LILY’S POV

Cayden was really a protective man, he would flare up at anyone who seemed to come close with hidden intentions or something he feels could take me away from him.

This was adorable as I felt assured of his love for me. Then I leaned over to kiss him in public, he reciprocated back in joy and pride that felt like he wasn’t concerned about what anyone thought about him at that moment.
