Love At Last

126

Chapter 126 – A very nice night.

Lily

Cayden was being extra sweet today and I was really happy about that. Now, I feel like nothing can ever go wrong between us now.

When our plates of pasta finally came, I started digging into it. I just couldn’t wait for Cayden to begin.

After taking the third spoon, I looked up to look at Cayden, I saw that he was looking straight at me. I dropped my fork because I felt embarrassed and…weird.

“You were really starving.” Cayden said while looking at me.

I looked down before answering. “Yeah.”

I was about to say something to him about stealing his food jokingly, when he received a phone call. I could see that he was contemplating if he should receive the call right in front of me, or if he wanted to go out to receive it. He finally settled for the first option.

“Hello?” He said to the caller at the other end, but it seemed like the person didn’t say anything because he dropped his phone almost immediately.

A few seconds later, his phone rang again and he picked immediately.

“Hello?” He said again, but this time, he didn’t drop the call immediately.

A minute later, he was done with his call, but with the look that was on his face, I suspected that the call was a bad one. He started looking worried, frustrated and unsettled.

I tried to show my care by asking him what was wrong, but he told me that he was completely wrong even though his face and tone of voice said otherwise.

Cayden’s POV

I was enjoying my lunch with Lily even though I hadn’t even touched my plate whereas Lily had taken up to four spoons. I guessed she was really hungry.

Everything was going fine, until my phone rang and when I checked to see the caller, I saw that it was an unknown number. I didn’t want to pick it but when I looked at Lily, I saw that she was waiting for me to pick it, so I just did.

“Hello?” I said to the caller and I didn’t get a reply. I thought it might be a wrong number, so I just dropped my phone.

The number called me again for the second time and I picked it instantly, wondering why the person was trying to spoil my lunch with Lily.

“Hello?” I said again, but this time, I received a reply.

“Cayden.” The person simply said and a frown settled on my face. The voice didn’t sound familiar at all and I pressed the phone against my ear to hear properly.

I was about to ask who the person was, when the person continued speaking.

“You need to take responsibility for your actions.” The person said and the line went dead.

I was really surprised and confused about what the person said. I forgot Lily was in front of me and I started pondering over it. It was really confusing to me and I needed so many answers to answer many questions.

“Are you okay?” Lily asked and I snapped out of my thoughts. I wasn’t sure if I was fine at all, but since the problem didn’t have anything to do with her, I didn’t want to bother her with it. So, I just told her that I was fine, even when I wasn’t anything to be fine.

I decided to invite Lily over to my house. With the issues on my mind, I really need her to take my mind off things and make me feel really good. I asked her and she instantly said okay, just like I expected.

Hearing that Lily was spending the night made me so happy, that I finished my meal immediately to go home. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

An hour later, we were in my house, having small talks. I went to my bedroom and I wasn’t surprised when Lily started trailing behind me.

Before we got to my room, I turned to face her and I carried her up, with my hands on her butt. I kissed her chest and she giggled happily.

I kicked my door open and I rushed to the bed. I dropped her and I removed my shirt quickly. I looked at her and when she was about to remove her too, I stopped her because I wanted to do that.

I bent down to kiss her and she kissed me back like she had been longing for me. I also wanted to have her too, so I didn’t waste any time at all.

Lily’s POV

I woke up the next day feeling a little bit sore. I was about to complain, but I felt Cayden’s hot breath against my skin. I remembered everything that happened last night and I started smiling.

Last night was one of my best nights and while I was reminiscing about it, I suddenly heard the doorbell ring and I moved Cayden from my body before I went out to meet the person.

I opened the door and the person that I saw standing at the door, was someone that I had never seen before.

It was a woman that was holding her protruding belly with her two hands. I stopped looking at her belly and I asked her the person that she wanted to see.

“Is this Cayden’s house?” She asked and I looked at her suspiciously before confirming that.

After I answered her, she pushed past me and she went further j to the living room. I closed the door and I was about to scream at her, when I saw Cayden looking at her.

“What are you doing here?.. and with your luggages?” Cayden asked her and I was surprised. It seemed he actually knew her. She moved closer to him and she started…crying? I wasn’t sure.

“I’ve been trying to call you for a while now, but it’s either you answer the call or you pick it and tell me that you can’t hear me.”

“I know it’s my fault, but the hotel I was staying in had no service.” She added and she tried touching him, but he backed away from her.

I was really confused about what was happening, so I decided to ask. I asked the woman who was responsible for her pregnancy and she said Cayden.
