Love in Twilight

Chapter 500 His Name

Chapter 500 His Name

Because Clarissa was beautiful and exceptional, many people were interested in her. But as she

needed to focus on her studies, she couldn’t afford to bother with any men. Seth had told her sweetly,

“In my eyes, you will always be remarkable, you know? They’re not annoying; they have taste. Don’t

put yourself down.”

She had frequently sat in a daze for hours because of Damien and their child. Sometimes, when she

thought of her child, she would quietly start shedding tears. Seth would pull her into his embrace and

soothe her, saying softly, “Don’t cry. You only left so you could meet in a better future.”

Every time she woke up from her hypnosis, she would feel a bit better.

During those moments, she would always reach out her hand and call out, “Damian.”

Seth would grip her hand and pull her up.

In her dreams, Clarissa had returned to the past. Softly, she called out, Damian.

Damien heard this from outside, and so he walked into Clarissa’s room.

“What is it?” he asked.

“Damian.”

Damien thought she was calling for him.

“I’m here.”

Clarissa must have felt that something was off, since things were different from how they used to be

before. She slowly woke from her slumber, drenched in sweat.

The moment she raised her head and saw Damien by her bedside, she was confused.

She had called for Damian, but she could barely remember it.

She was thoroughly confused.

“Haven’t you left?” Clarissa asked Damien.

“Not yet. You’ll be taking Lily and Eric out to see some sights tonight. I’ll drive you there,” Damien said

gently after hearing Clarissa calling for him in her sleep.

He planned to leave after staying for a bit, but now, he had changed his mind.

Thinking about it, Clarissa realized that driving would be much easier since they had a child with them.

Anyway, Damien was the one who suggested it in the first place.

In general, once Damien made up his mind, it was nearly impossible for others to change his decision.

Clarissa nodded before getting up to prepare for class.

That evening, Clarissa sent Lily a Whatsapp message to get Lily to go over to Florin’s Central Square.

She had heard that there would be fireworks.

Lily: [Sounds great! Eric loves fireworks.]

Damien drove to pick Lily and Eric up.

On the way there, Damien spoke very little. He seemed to have a lot on his mind.

When they arrived, Damien didn’t get out of the car. Seeing this, Lily asked, “Mr. Lawrence, aren’t you

coming with us to see the fireworks? The fireworks of Florin are gorgeous!”

“I’ve watched them all my life. I’m not interested,” Damien said, moving to grab a cigarette. But since

Eric was taking his time getting out of the car, he moved slower and looked out for the boy instead.

“Right! I forgot that you’re from Florin, Mr. Lawrence,” Lily said. “Let’s go, then.”

Thereafter, the three of them left. Clarissa and Lily each took one of Eric’s hands as they walked. Eric

looked overjoyed. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

The car was parked near the viewing point for the fireworks. Damien’s gaze never left Clarissa.

He watched as Clarissa took out her phone and ducked her head. Her fingertips flew over the screen.

She must have been texting someone.

Her quiet demeanor was a stark contrast to the excitement of the surrounding crowd.

At that moment, Clarissa was responding to Seth’s text.

Seth: [Clare, I’m leaving the day after tomorrow. Please make some time for tomorrow afternoon or

evening.]

Clarissa didn’t know when Lily was leaving, so she was in a tough spot. However, she thought that Eric

would be exhausted if she brought Lily and him out all day tomorrow. They might not have dinner

together.

Clarissa: [Is tomorrow night okay?]

Seth: [Red Rose Restaurant.]

Clarissa: [Sure thing.]
