Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 406

Chapter 406 Destiny

It had been three years since Clarissa decided to pull a disappearing act.

She became the hardest working student in her class, but she was cautious and kept a low profile the

entire time.

She would be the first to attend class and the last to leave.

Most of the time, she would spend her after–class hours in the library.

It seemed her entire life revolved around academics.

There were a lot of pictures of her son Neil on her phone. They were the pictures she had taken before

she left Genovia.

Since then, she never had any new ones.

Of course, she kept her mind occupied and tried not to think of anything else but her studies. Studying

was difficult and challenging, but she had never felt more accomplished throughout the years. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Her academic achievements helped to add color into her dull and monotonous life.

As time went by, her eyesight worsened and her hair grew longer.

Her skin had somehow become even fairer. Due to her deteriorating eyesight, she was forced to wear

glasses most of the time. These two painted her with a cold and elegant aura.

Throughout the three years, she cut off all of her connections and went so far as to change all her

numbers and social contacts.

Despite her determination to leave her past life behind, she still missed Neil dearly.

Even so, Clarissa knew there wasn’t much that she could do. Time and time again, Damien’s

callousness had disappointed her greatly. In addition with Iris’s possible act of vengeance, Clarissa had

no choice but to leave Neil.

However, there was one person Clarissa remained in contact with: Chanel Kirk.

In fact, she had been in contact with Chanel for the past three years.

In her final year, a company called Eden Investment Corporation offered her a job position as their

financial consultant.

Clarissa knew about this company when she attended an event once in the past.

At that event, she was a translator. That was probably when the CEO of Eden Investment Corporation

took notice of her.

Clarissa was gratified that her years of hard work had finally paid off.

If she had never furthered her studies, she would still be a nobody.

She replied to the company, saying that she would be graduating in a few months‘ time, and that she

would only discuss the offer with them again once she had returned.

Almost immediately, she received a reply. “We will always welcome you, Miss Johnson. Do

update us when you’re coming back.”

It is obvious that Eden Investment Corporation really wanted her.

Clarissa relayed this to Chanel, filled with excitement.

“If you’re free, Chanel, do help me look into Eden Investment Corporation. I don’t think I’m going back

to Genovia.”

Clarissa had a feeling Iris wouldn’t let her off the hook if she ever returned.

Anyway, it had been three long years. There were much more things in her life than just Damien and

her old family.

“What a coincidence! My university’s looking for a finance professor, so why don’t you try it? I’ll sign up

for you.” Chanel replied.

“Okay! Thanks, Chanel.” Clarissa was satisfied with the job.

By now, it was evident that she had an ill–fated destiny with Genovia.

Clarissa quickly sent over her resume, thesis, and relevant documents to Chanel for the job. After that,

she started preparing for her oral defense and graduation.
