Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 438

Chapter 438 Miss Johnson, Have You Dated Before? Clarissa’s face turned gloomy. Iris was beyond

diabolical. Clarissa knew Iris’s business had grown bigger and stronger in the past few years. Plus, with

her influence in other countries…

“Oh! By the way, Clarissa, when is your next class? I want to come over,” Connie said pretentiously.

“Next week,” Clarissa said, turning to leave. She clenched her hands tightly, furious. The four of them

went into the same private room in Sonders Cafe. Damien lit a cigarette while Clarissa ordered the

food. “What would you like to eat, Neil?” Clarissa stroked Neil‘s head. “Anything.” “Neil, you‘re so easy

to please.” “I know what Neil will like. I‘ll order for him,” Caleb said, leaning closer to Clarissa. “The kids

love this. Neil will probably love it too.”

Neil was very aggrieved to see their intimate interaction.

Damien slowly smoked a cigarette in his seat. He watched the two leaning close to each other, looking

exactly like a perfect couple. Caleb was very active, and kept talking to Clarissa.

To Damien, Clarissa had always been a pretentious person who loved playing hard–to–get.

“Caleb, you didn‘t say you were interested in a teacher. You‘ve worried me for nothing.” Damien flicked

his cigarette ash.

Caleb chuckled. “Well, I was afraid you‘d tell Mom. Clarissa‘s five years older than me. I was afraid

Mom wouldn‘t approve.” Damien smiled again, but it wasn‘t a heartfelt smile. “What‘s your name?

Clarissa, was it?”

Damien pretended not to know Clarissa and simply watched the show. He was excellent at pretending

to be a stranger.

Clarissa kept her head down and played with her fingers. She wanted to tell Caleb the truth over

dinner, but Connie and Cindy stopped her from doing so. It was frustrating.

She was unsure as to why Damien wasn’t telling the truth. Maybe he thought it was better to get rid of

her early on. After all, she was just his ex-wife. Clarissa’s heart throbbed uncomfortably at the thought.

“Yup! She‘s Clarissa Johnson, my accounting lecturer.” Caleb kept staring at Clarissa’s face, charmed

by her beauty. He enjoyed looking at her. “Last time, Clarissa came downstairs when I had dinner here.

I even painted her a portrait

named after her. I wonder if you’ve seen it, President Lawrence?”

“I didn’t see it, but the whole school knows about it. So that’s how it is.” Damien wore a constant smile

as he spoke, but for some reason, it made others shudder. He finally learnt what was on the torn paper

in Caleb’s dorm. It was a portrait of Clarissa.

When Caleb was in Grandpa’s house, Caleb almost wanted to draw her.

“Mr. Lawrence, do you know the whole story?” Caleb laughed.

Caleb’s smile and Damien’s smile were on a completely different level. One was from a simple and

naive young man, and the other was from an experienced and powerful man. No one could see NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

through Damien’s true thoughts.

Neil was in a bad mood, and snuggled unhappily into Damien’s arms.

Clarissa was so sad to see this. She called out to him, “Neil.”

“Miss Johnson, you don’t have to be so worried.” Damien patted Neil’s head. “I can handle my own

son. I’ve been doing it since he was a baby. You seem very charismatic. The school has just started,

and you’ve already hooked up with a fine young man like Caleb.”

Damien kept staring at Clarissa as he spoke, dragging out his words slowly. The way he said she

hooked up with Caleb struck her painfully.

Caleb glanced at Clarissa and said quickly, “That’s not it! I had my eyes on her first.” He tried to defend

Clarissa.

“Have you dated before, Miss Johnson?” Damien asked again. He sounded like he was interviewing

her as Caleb’s elder.

“Yes.” Clarissa kept her head down, flushed red with embarrassment.

“You do? If you don’t mind, can you tell me about it?” Damien continued asking, the same small smile

remaining on his lips.
