Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 445
Chapter 445 Are You Jealous?
Damien frowned at the sight.
Ray had already returned from Genovia. He was supposed to be the one signing this contract, but
Damien changed his mind at the very last second. To put it more accurately, he changed his mind when
he found out that Caleb was going to start his internship at Eden Investment. Right now, Ray was
babysitting Neil at home for Damien. Clarissa’s back was still facing Damien. She had yet to see him
properly, so she felt quite nervous. Finally, Damien took his seat. Clarissa nodded at him politely as a
customary greeting. Caleb used that opportunity to leave the conference room. A moment later,
Charles entered the room.
After that, Caleb headed toward the HR department. It was clear he was an observant guy with a good
sense of judgment. Since he saw Damien in the conference room, he was quick to inform Charles to
avoid making Damien wait for too
long
Then, Caleb used the time to discuss his internship plan with the HR department.
He would be carrying out his internship in the commerce department. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
Thursday, and Friday, he would be required to come to the company and spend two hours learning the
ropes in that department. His monthly salary as an intern would be two thousand dollars.
The HR director soon took Caleb on a tour around the various departments in the company.
Back in the conference room...
“Sorry for making you wait, Mr. Lawrence. I presume there aren‘t any problems with the contract, yes?”
Charles asked with a smile.
“Yes, the contract‘s fine,” Damien replied.
Afterwards, the representatives of New East and Eden Investment signed the contract in a ceremonial
flourish. The agreed amount was 3.5 billion dollars, which would be used to develop the real estate
industry in Florin.
The directors of Eden Investment had a lengthy discussion with New East regarding various problems.
Originally, Ray had already prepared a team that was meant to engage in this discussion, but Damien
turned that team down.
During the conference, Clarissa realized that Damien was able to answer any question that Eden
Investment Corporation had thrown at him with ease. His mind remained cool and clear throughout the
entire exchange, which made him as omnipotent as a god. He alone could be a match for an entire
army. He was able to use his masculine charın to the maximum, resulting in his status escalating to
one that would be worshiped by any women who laid their eyes on him.
Clarissa also realized that if she decided to ignore Damien’s rotten personality, his professional side on
negotiation grounds sparked her obsession with him.
She also asked him a few questions and provided a few answers in return to his questions. Both
parties seemed to have a great time throwing questions at each other.
After that, the commerce department of Eden Investment put on a PowerPoint presentation they had
designed before the meeting for everyone to see. They mainly talked about the future collaborations
between the companies, and went into detail on each step of the elaborate plan and the variety of
problems they had to watch out for.
At the end of the presentation, Charles said jokingly, “It seems you’ll have to come here frequently in
the future, Mr. Lawrence.”
“Of course,” Damien replied. Once the conference was over, Damien packed up his things neatly and
got up to leave. Clarissa left the conference room as well.
Coincidentally, Caleb had just stepped out of the commerce department as well. His backpack was
slung on his shoulders, and he was ready to leave the company. “Are you leaving already, Mr.
Lawrence?” he asked. “Yes. Do you need a ride?”
“Sure! Thank you so much, Mr. Lawrence.” Even though Caleb viewed Damien as a close confidant, he
was still very polite and respectful to Damien. “Since you two are a couple, why don’t you come along
as well?” Damien shot Clarissa a casual glance.
“Huh?” Clarissa was surprised at Damien‘s abrupt suggestion.
She couldn‘t help but ball her fists tightly. Her heart felt like it was going to ooze blood at any moment.
Why must Damien say such things to mock her? “Let‘s go together,” Caleb agreed. At that moment,
something resembling a picture slid out of Caleb‘s backpack.
“You dropped something.” Clarissa’s sharp eyes were quick to notice Connie’s picture on the floor. The
amount of skin she was revealing in the picture made her frown instinctively.
She had no idea what Connie was planning, but the fact that the latter was able to slide a seductive
picture of herself into Caleb’s hands gave Clarissa a feeling that her cousin was up to no good.
“You shouldn’t talk to her in the future,” Clarissa reprimanded Caleb, frowning. Caleb was in the midst
of reorganizing his backpack. He had stuck this picture into the outermost pocket of his backpack. The
picture might have fallen out of his backpack due to the fact that he didn‘t zip it properly. When he
heard Clarissa’s statement, he couldn‘t help but smile. “Are you jealous?”
