Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 35

At 8:30 a. m. at the airport, Daria pulled her suitcase slowly toward the arrival gate. After so many years, she finally came back here.

She waved for a taxi and told the driver to take her to the Global Corporation headquarters.

The door opened slightly, and when Stephen saw the girl in a stylish outfit and high-heeled boots walk in, he thought he had astigmatism and quickly stood up.

Since early morning, he had gone to Dylan’s office to wait to see which high-ranking person the president invited to help him, but in the end, it turned out to be Daria.

“Doctor Daria. What’s going on? Dylan, didn’t you say to recruit someone to help me?” Stephen asked.

“Yes, it’s her.” Dylan calmly replied.

“Since when did the medical industry encroach on the project business industry?” Stephen is still surprised.

Daria gently approached and showed her profile to Stephen. He looked at her and then opened it to see.

And the master’s degree in business administration caught his eye, making him bewildered.

“I thought you were just a doctor.”

“Do you have any further comments?” Daria crossed her arms and asked.

“It’s over. Doctor Daria, I see you do a very good job at the hospital, why did you suddenly change jobs?”

“This is my passion.” She smiled and answered.

Stephen exhaled, gave the document back to Daria, and sat down on the sofa.

At this moment, Daria walked over to shake Dylan’s hand, warmly praising him.

“Hello, Mr. President, you still look as cool as before.”

“He is a product of plastic surgery.” Stephen interjected with a pointed mouth.

“This is also my last work.” Daria continued.

“Are you two going to stand here and dig into my personal life?” Dylan’s face turned black and his voice was serious.

Both Stephen and Daria were so busy talking that they forgot the taboo that Dylan didn’t want anyone to repeat this story.

So Stephen quickly stood up, grabbed Daria’s hand, and dragged her out with an excuse.

“I’ll take you around the Global Corporation.”

After they left, the room became quiet as usual, with only the sound of typing on the keyboard and the occasional sound of a pen running on paper.

It wasn’t until Paul walked in that the atmosphere in the room became a little less quiet.

Dylan saw Paul constantly checking his phone while waiting for him to sign the documents when he suddenly remembered the words that Stephen warned him about.

It seems that this assistant is really in love, probably talking sweet words to flirt with the person of his dreams.

Thinking about that, Dylan smiled softly.

Although Dylan thought so, in reality, they were just normal messages of concern. Paul still didn’t dare say anything to Ella, he just asked if she had eaten, what she was doing, and whether it was sunny in C province now…

After clicking to turn off the computer, Nancy tidily arranged her documents and then picked up her bag to leave.

Before she reached the gate, she saw Stephen waiting, so she quickly ran closer to him.

All day today, he took Daria to visit the company’s departments and then helped her find a house.

Although the company has a clean and fragrant dormitory, that person likes to live alone and quietly.

“Stephen.” Nancy bowed slightly in greeting.

“You are back. I was going to go to the company to pick you up, but I realized it was too late, so I guessed that you had already gotten on the bus so I drove straight here.” Stephen smiled friendly.

“What are you looking for me?” She asked shyly.

“For you.” He said while giving her a box.

Nancy’s face lit up when she saw that inside the box were photos of her riding a wooden horse, seascapes at sunset and sunrise, and even a pair of white swans made of snail shells.

“So beautiful.” She was touched and spoke.

“Luckily you like them.”

Stephen said softly and looked at the bag of food in Nancy’s hand. Before he could speak, the phone rang loudly, forcing him to answer quickly.

He didn’t know what Daria did to make the faucet burst. She didn’t know who to ask for help, so she immediately called the guy who took her to rent this house.

“Doctor Daria, did I owe you something in my previous life?”

Stephen squealed and hung up the phone. After sighing to regain composure, he turned to look at Nancy and smiled regretfully.

“I’ll go now, have a nice afternoon.”

“Yes, thank you.” Nancy gently bowed her head.

Stephen sadly drove back to Daria’s place. Looking at the soaked house and the soaking girl standing in front of him, her elegant appearance from the morning gone, he could only shake his head and quickly run to the water meter and turn off the valve.

“Are you from the countryside to the city?” Stephen raised his face and asked.

“No, I’m from the high city going to the low city.” Daria quickly replied to reduce embarrassment.

After glaring at Daria, Stephen quickly ran to buy a tube of glue and meticulously re-glued the faucet, while she got a towel to clean the house.

After finishing his work, he looked over and saw the young lady cleaning the house. He immediately rushed in and rolled up his sleeves to help her.

Stephen thought that he must have stolen something from her in his previous life, so now he was being tortured by her like this.

After cleaning the house, he looked up and it was already dark, so he told her to shower, change clothes, and then take her out to eat.

After Daria finished eating, she immediately offered to eat sweet soup, so Stephen took her to a roadside sweet soup shop because he heard that the sweet soup shop had been open for a long time. Although not luxurious, it was extremely famous.
