I nodded and said, "fine... but still you

Steven got close to me, his face shows affection.. he touched
my face and said, "Celeste... I fear losing you... and thought about it.. isn't
it better to make it official?... this is only way to protect you from Prince... he
can't win, he can't take you away from me.... as far as I think he won't make the
marriage public, if he wanted to then he could have done it till now.... he is
trying to play with your life... but I am different I will give you everything I
have, from my money to name to my life.. please don't say no to this
engagement..." I thought for a moment, I turned my back to Steven as I covered my
face in frustration.. he is right, Ernest says I am his but never made the
marriage public even when Steven came... does this means that I am a play
thing?.. so I am really a substitute for Isabella..
My feast tighten
around my own fingers, I hate Ernest. I said, "Steven... give me 30 minutes to
get ready for the engagement...." I looked at him. he smiled and hugged me, he
said, "I am so happy... thank you Celeste..."
I tried to smile
at him. he cupped my face and said, "there are clothes on the bed... get
dressed.. I will be waiting..." I nodded.. but I am not happy... but what matters
is defeating Ernest Gray...
Steven moved
close to my face and too close... he asked, "can I?" does he means kiss?... I whispered, "can.. can I
get some time?" I
can see he is disappointed. But he said, "sure..." he placed a kiss on my
forehead.. he said, "I will wait... get ready fast..." he walked out of the room, I took a deep

I got dressed and
looked in the mirror, I am wearing a lavender dress with earrings, I tried to
do the makeup... Daisy was helping me. she was applying some blush and said,
"pictures should come out good. anyways I don't think you need make up..." I
didn't said anything.. she added, "there is just us but we will celebrate this
engagement to fullest.." I passed a light smile....
Daisy said, "Cele...
you are not happy?" I nodded, I said, "I am worried.. like I never knew life
will turn out to be this..."
Daisy took my hand
and said, "Steven is good to you... I think at least better than Prince Ernest..."
I agree, Ernest treated me as a play thing.. this engagement is for me.. I will
make him realized, I am not his play thing...
I heard a knock
on the door and Daisy went to open the door.. as she opened the door, I saw
Ace.. he didn't look happy. I can't even imagine what he feels right now... he
said he liked me.
He looked at me and
then turned to Daisy he said, "they are waiting"
I looked down, I am
hesitating.. soon, I walked down and dad smiled at me. I smiled back... Dad
hugged me and said, "I hope the best for you..." I smiled. This is the only thing
I can do. I heard Steven, "Celeste.."
I looked at him, he
said, "you are beautiful.." I said, "thank you.. you look good too.." he is
well dressed in black, his hairs are perfected styled.... He is good looking
Dad said,
"Celeste.. Steven.. should we get start?"
I nodded, I stood beside Steven, he showed me the
rings. They are beautiful... Steven said, "you like it..." I nodded.. I whispered,
"it's beautiful..."
Soon, Steven took my
hand and pushed the ring in my finger. My breathe was stuck in my body. I said
to myself, "this is right thing to do" I pushed ring Steven's finger and I
noted Ace face was expressionless. He avoided looking at me. I feel guilty
without doing anything. I heard the
claps and I tried to smile...
Dad said, "let's get
a picture to remember this day." Steven said, "yes sure.." he put his hand
around my waist and we stood close to get the picture. Dad is happy... really
happy. dad took my hand and said, "now.. there is hope you are safe from Prince
Ernest..."
