Love’ss 60
Chapter 60
After opening the door, Madelyn glanced at Harriet and Sophie. “Are you leaving voluntarily, or should I kick you out?”
Madelyn had been holding back since she first saw them, mindful that Andrew was hosting important guests with her. Harriet and Sophie were accustomed to conspiring with Elena to undermine Madelyn.
On this exact day in Madelyn’s previous life, they set up a situation that could have led Madelyn into a gang rape at the lounge. Athena and Grace became more disapproving of Madelyn due to this incident.
Even with Elena gone today, Madelyn couldn’t stand these troublemakers sticking around any longer.
Harriet was the first to respond. She sneered at Madelyn, “What’s that supposed to mean? And who do you think you are, telling us to leave?”
“Because I’m Mrs. Miller!” Madelyn fired back.
Harriet was visibly surprised, her smirk fading.
Sophie stepped forward decisively, feigning concern as she politely asked, “Madelyn, what are you doing? Hattie and I have always treated you like sisters for Elena’s sake.”
At the mention of Elena, Madelyn narrowed her eyes menacingly.” Looks like you’re asking to be kicked out!”NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
“Madelyn, you’re begging for trouble!” Harriet finally snapped. She had been containing her frustration with Madelyn’s attitude. Upon seeing Madelyn assert her position as Andrew’s wife, Harriet charged forward and lifted her hand to slap Madelyn.
Yet, her
.empt was swiftly countered the moment she raised her hand. Madelyn effortlessly grabbed her wrist, leaving her defenseless.
Harriet winced in pain, her complexion paling. Since when had Madelyn become this strong?
“L–Let me go! Now!” Harriet exclaimed.
Madelyn smirked and released her grip. Harriet, struggling, promptly lost her footing and tumbled to the ground. Sophie hurried to Harriet’s side to help her.
Harriet’s face paled, clearly in pain from her twisted ankle. When she finally stood, a soft groan escaped her. She glared fiercely at Madelyn. “What’s there to be proud of for stealing Elena’s spot as Mrs. Miller? You’re even flaunting yourself in front of everyone!”
“Yeah, not even your mom could stand you!” Sophie exclaimed indignantly.
Madelyn didn’t want to waste her breath on them. Not wanting to keep Andrew waiting at the birthday celebration, she headed straight for the two of them.
“You’re insane!” Shouts and scream’s echoed from the rear entrance of the Miller residence, followed by the slam of a closing door. Harriet and Sophie could be heard cursing beyond the door.
A surge of satisfaction swept through Madelyn as she turned briskly, feeling revitalized. To her surprise, she caught Carrie smiling in amusement at her. Standing next to Carrie was someone else.
Madelyn squinted, her features stiffening involuntarily upon seeing. that it was Stella Jimenez. Since her falling out with Easton, Madelyn hadn’t been in touch with Stella since their high school and college. days.
Knowing they had witnessed the scene, Madelyn felt extremely awkward. “When did you two get here?”
Carrie took

Madelyn fell silent.
Stella’s previous hostility toward Madelyn had dissipated. She grinned mischievously. “Who knew Maddie had such a fierce side?”
Madelyn gave Stella a piercing glare, her embarrassment leaving her momentarily speechless.
Carrie nudged Stella’s shoulder. “See? I told you. She’s quite the charmer when she’s herself again. You didn’t believe me, did you?”
Madelyn couldn’t bear listening to them any longer. They kept bringing up Easton at every opportunity and wouldn’t drop it.
When Andrew realized Madelyn had been absent from the birthday celebration for quite some time, he sent someone to locate her.
Madelyn glanced at Stella and Carrie. “How about we have a meal together tomorrow?”
“Sure, just give us a ring!”
Madelyn nodded and went with the person Andrew had sent to find her.
Carrie and Stella watched Madelyn leave. Stella clicked her tongue in disbelief. “I never saw that coming. She’s really different now.”
“Yeah, exactly. She was so into Easton before, but now, they seem like sworn enemies.”
Stella giggled. Carrie’s assessment of Madelyn was spot on.
