Chapter 4 A Date Before The Wedding
Chapter 4 A Date Before The Wedding
Vivian's parents and Troy's father decided that the both of them should spend at least two days to get
to know each other before the wedding. She agreed as soon as the topic opened. She was excited of
course, a date with Troy will be fun and she would make sure of it.
''Violet, you should be here You could have see the jerk's face when I told him how excited I am with
the wedding.'' Vivian told her sister on the phone.
''I am sure you will have so much fun, sister. Say hi to Mom and Dad for me.'' Violet said and then
dropped the call.
Vivian sighed as she recall how their father reacted when he learnt that Violet eloped with some man
from the lower class. He was so angry they worried that they might need to send him to the nearest
hospital. But their father held on and with a came up with a decision to disown Violet. Her mother
appealed to her father to think about his decision carefully, but it was too late. Her father closed the
subject and moved on to her wedding with Troy as if her sister never existed.
Her mother was so heartbroken that she eats less and less. Vivian tried to console her mother but it did
not work. She needs to talk to her Dad.
''Miss Vivian, your Dad wanted to give you this.'' A maid called her attention and handed her a jewelry
box. She opened it and popped a set of ruby jewelry. From the earrings to the necklace. ''Your father
wanted you to wear them tonight.'' The maid added and then left the room.
Vivian smiled but eventually felt bad as the gift must have been for her sister Violet. She needs to patch
the hole in her family and reconcile her father and sister. But before that, she needs to get ready for her
first date with Troy Callahan. They decided to meet up at some fancy restaurant at around seven in the
evening.
It was already Seven Thirty and she has not dolled up yet. Slowly she slipped on a black dress that
hugs her body and a black stilettos. She was doing it on purpose to annoy Troy. One thing that she
learned about him was that he was ever so punctual. He would arrive at least thirty minutes early. And
at that moment, she was already an hour late.
She received a lot of calls and messages from Troy Callahan but she keeps on ignoring it. At some Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
point she even received a death threat from him but Vivian just laughed it off.
When she arrived at the restaurant, it was almost Eight in the evening. She spotted Troy Callahan
sitting at the corner part of the restaurant. Troy looked at her and she can sense the anger inside of
him. At first Vivian was taken aback but she reminded herself that she needed to teach that rude man a
lesson.
Vivian sat down at the chair opposite Troy Callahan and a waiter came to her and handed her the
menu.
She eyes Troy Callahan who was still throwing death glares at her. Vivian gave him a smirk and a wink
before proceeding to order her meal. After the waiter left, she glanced at Troy. She can see his jawline
moving from anger.
''Where were you woman?!'' Troy hissed at her. His voice husky and low, that was not the first time that
Vivian heard his voice but damn it sounds so sexy in her ears. ''You made me wait for almost two
hours!''
Vivian shrugged and innocently batted her eyes. ''I'm sorry, I lost track of time.'' She apologized, of
course it was a lie. She literally did it on purpose. Trying to wore out Troy's patience. ''So Troy, my
father told me that you both have plans expanding the business and merging the company.'' Vivian said
it straightforwardly.
Troy Callahan did not even bulged and just stared at her coldly. ''And what is it to you?''
Vivian smirked at him, ''Well you see, my father owns 75% of the share in all of our company. He
disowned and disinherited my sister so all of that will be given to me. But my father wants me to
present him a grandson before he gives me the whole company.''
Troy Callahan was just listening to her and did not say a word. What she had said were all true, except
for the part that her father wanted her to give him a son. Vivian's father never pressured her into giving
him grandchildren but she just said to to see the reaction on Troy Callahan's charming face.
''I want you, Troy. . .'' Vivian said it seductively, she almost choked on her laughter but she continued it.
''I want you to give me a son, Troy Callahan.''
Troy did not give her any reaction at all. He just stayed quiet and more colder that before. When he
was about to say something, their food arrived and they ate in silence.
After their dinner, Troy walked her into her car. Vivian was disappointed as she failed her mission. To
see a different reaction from that emotionless man. But an idea popped into Vivian's mind, the night is
not over yet. She was walking behind Troy Callahan when she decided to act like she was about to fall.
''Oh my!'' Vivian shouted and called for Troy's attention.
Troy Callahan was fast and caught her. Her hands on the crooked of his neck and his hand snaked her
tiny waist. Their face almost inches apart. She can smell the minty breath of that man and a mixture of
wine. Vivian felt dizzy but she needs to finish what she has started.
Vivian pulled him closer to her and kissed him fully on the lips. The kiss lasted for a good ten seconds
when she decided to pull away. She saw how his aura darkened, she felt afraid so she ran straight to
her car. But when Vivian was about to open the door, Troy Callahan pulled her to him and started
kissing her again.
Vivian was shock and could not believe was was happening. She felt her knees weakened so she
leaned into her car. The kiss was not like the first time, it was full of lust and hunger. She tasted iron on
her lips but she still couldn't resist that man. It was like being drunk on cloud nine.
Troy Callahan pulled back, she was surprised to see a smirk on his charming face. ''Don't you ever
tease me, woman.'' He whispered to her seductively.
Vivian can feel her face reddened. Her jaw dropped. Suddenly, she felt lost and confuse. But a feeling
of defeat came rushing into her, Vivian gathered her strength and with one blow, she kicked Troy
Callahan's right leg and quickly escaped. Leaving the poor man limping.
