Chapter-39: I need you
Allison rolled her eyes at Rebecca's expressions and had her dinner silently.
'Please take him, I don't want him.'
She wanted to scream at her but no. She was still spooked by her lethal form which was haunting her still.
'Everyone here was scary, that's why they are called dark walkers.' She mused in her mind.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
"Aztec and Rebecca would take care of the important matters after me. Ashina will come with me." He informed them further. Allison never thought an Alpha needed to tell his plan to his subjects. In her previous pack, Alpha Ralph never disclosed his plans before taking actions.
'He is a deceiver!'
Her mind hissed. Yes, He is!
Allison sighed with her heavy mind when Rebecca beside her interrupted her little talks in her mind.
"Allison, I heard you are a healer! I would like you to treat my wounds. Last night I butchered a few muddy insects which made my skin itchy. Could you heal me?"
Allison blinked at her simple request. She talked like she did some exercise sessions, not killing creatures. Allison gulped seeing her face. This serpent woman was not less than Ashina in provoking her. She turned her gaze to others who were having their dinner silently but Lyceon was staring at her like He was waiting for her answer.
"I.. i would try to help you." She murmured. Rebecca smirked and looked behind her at Lyceon.
"I will wait for you in my room after dinner." She said indifferently.
'Oh no! I didn't want to be alone with her.'
Allison's gaze went to that Lola who smirked viciously at her. Oh! She was her minion.
Her dinner went undigested thinking she needed to go to her room to heal her. Allison was grateful that nobody bothered her with their snarky comments tonight at the dining table. Lyceon didn't say anything further either. Rebecca left after she was done and Allison stood up as well to leave. She needed time to think of her escape from her for tonight. She had a big headache already. But as if today was her unfortunate day and night. "Wait!"
She heard his loud voice and stopped moving. Lyceon wiped his lips leisurely before setting the paper napkin on the table and stood up. He levelled his eyes at her. His intimidating aura was enough to keep the air around them still. Nobody breathed in his commanding scent. Even Ashina was quiet tonight.
"I will take you there. Follow me!" Lyceon said and nodded at Allison before taking long strides towards the stairs. She blinked up in confusion as to what He just said.
"He is talking about Rebecca's room. Go!" Aztec said from behind her, she turned to see him smiling at her.

"She is going to promote you on a high level of impatience tonight so you have your support now." Allison couldn't understand the meaning of his evasive words but one same gesture from Ashina and she walked behind him.
She followed him to the left side of the wing. So this serpent woman was important to him as she was living in the same mansion. Allison was following him closely when He suddenly stopped as they passed the first corridor, making her halt too.
He turned slowly and gave her a look full of void. Allison fudged with her fingers and looked around awkwardly. 'What does He want now?'
Lyceon took slow steps towards her as she stepped back and soon hit the wall behind. He stepped closer and cupped her cheek. Allison flinched but didn't pull back. He attached his forehead to hers making her breath hitched. He closed his eyes and opened them again. Allison was relieved not witnessing those crimson eyes full of anger.
"I.... need you, Angel. I really do. Don't make things difficult for me." Lyceon murmured, his voice laced with concern and pain pulled strings inside her heart. She gulped my saliva down her throat feeling tense for no reason. He sighed before looking into her eyes.
"Don't mind Rebecca! She will just test you to know your powers, Angel. I know you are a strong girl and have unique powers inside you. That's why I decided to send you to the Academy which would help you to awaken your powers. You will be accompanied by Ashina and Rebecca. But keep one thing in mind, don't befriend anyone and don't get close to anyone. I mean it." He said, caressing her cheek.
Allison blinked at him blankly. 'How did He know about my powers?'
"Rebecca may look rude but she is a good girl and you have to get along with her. You want the answer to your questions, right?" He asked softly before looking into her eyes. Her heart palpitated thinking if He was playing any games with her. Sure enough, she wanted answers but doubted what He was indicating.
Allison nodded slowly. His eyes were warming her skin wherever He was gazing. He leaned down and kissed her lips softly, making her gasp slightly.
"You will get to know when you will follow my commands!"
She swallowed my saliva once again under his intense but warm gaze.
'Why was He asking me again to follow him or wait for the right time? Is there any hint He was pointing to me?'
"I.. I don't want to. I don't want to go inside. She seems.... scary." She wanted to state that She didn't want to follow him but she twisted her words for her sake when she recalled his spooky face from earlier. There was no reason to infuriate him in any way. Moreover, Rebecca was already setting fear inside her. She was already irritated by meeting dreadful people in this kingdom.
Lyceon chuckled looking down. He shook his head slightly. His dimples fluttered her betraying heart for no reason. Allison forcefully kept her face neutral. How could this handsome killer be this exquisite? Only if his behaviour and deeds were thrilling like his beauty.
"Rebecca is challenging but won't hurt you. Ever! You have my word. But I also want you to show yourself strong and competitive. Angel, I can't fill you with the loss of your deceased family but I will clarify things for you after coming back from my journey next week. I can expect for you to wait till then. Will you?"
Allison sighed.
And just like that He took that promising nod from her.
