Chapter 31
I spent half an hour looking for Hailynn in this huge house. I think I’m starting to have regrets why I bought this massive place. It was getting on my nerves when I couldn’t find my pregnant wild cat easily.
I opened the tall brown door that was adorned with intricate designs, leading to the most boring place in this mansion. I should’ve known she was staying in the mini library lounging on the sofa that was resting in the center of the room.
When I found her, her back was leaning against the sofa’s armrest. Her legs laid flat languidly on the soft material, laptop on her thighs. She looked so serious as her sight focused on the screen. Reflection glinting her eyes in detail.
I slowly strode towards her, finally getting my worried mind to settle down.
“I was looking for you in this entire huge ass mansion. I swear my hair started shedding when I couldn’t find you. Tsk. And you’re just here probably typing away my anxiety on a laptop, my pregnant lovely wife.” I stopped at her side and propped my elbows on the backrest of the sofa, leaning my upper body towards her.
She snorts in amusement and mockery. I sighed inwardly. This woman will be the death of me.
I’ll tell you exactly why.
She has been fooling around in this house, playing tricks on me. She had tripped me in more ways than one in the hallways, bedroom, the kitchen, pretty much everywhere. She had been pranking me a lot. I have lost count how many times I fell victim to it.
I couldn’t even retaliate. We don’t need to ask why on that. I would cook for her, do the chores for her, I took the role of a housewife rather than the husband.
She was the queen here. Period. And I was just a lowly bullied servant who couldn’t even do anything against his boss.
I sighed. She suddenly flips her laptop close. I raised a brow at her sudden movement.
“What?” I asked curiously. She was frowning while looking at me as if she wanted me out.
“Get out, bitch. I don’t want you here. I can’t concentrate.”
I walked around the sofa and lifted her legs. I sat down and placed her legs over my lap.
“We know you’re the real bitch here, amore. You’re the one who’s carrying my pups.”
I have gotten used to Hailynn bullying me, calling me random names. She has changed drastically ever since we became closer to each other. I tolerated her like that because I realized that this might be the real unguarded her. My feelings grew even more at the realization.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
It meant she was opening up to me. She was accepting me not just through words.
She then pointed her fingers from my hands to her legs, indicating to massage her. She adjusted herself, placing the laptop on the center table and laid in a more relaxing position. I then started massaging her legs and feet.
She moaned, closing her eyes. “That’s so good. You know… you’re better suited as a housewi- ahh!” She moaned with a gasp when my fingers crawled towards her pussy. Her eyes widened in surprise. “Dante!”
I chuckled. “Still sensitive, I see.”
“Fuck you!” She scowled.
“Oh, I will.” I squinted at her in mischief. She only rolled her eyes. “So you’ve finished the book.”
She glared. “You saw it?” My lips quirked. “No wonder you’re horny right now.” I laugh. “I’m going to meet up with Lara, Ethan’s editor.”
“You’re not going outside, amore. If you want to meet up with her, do it here.”
“It’s not like I’m in the mood to go out. I still feel like shit.” She said while closing her eyes and sighed.
Unfortunately, she still isn’t feeling well. The symptoms are still present. It was the reason why I pushed back our wedding date. As much as I want to drag her to the church or the courthouse, I don’t want her to faint or vomit in the middle of saying our vows. People might think that I forced her to marry.
“Wait.” She suddenly got up which made me frown. “I hope you didn’t want me to go out because you’re seeing someone else.” While glaring at me.
I sighed dramatically. This was one of the features that added to our daily lives. She keeps making things up and acting all suspicious of me. We all know the truth despite her knowing it as well.
“Stai zitto, amore. I haven’t left this house ever since we got home from the hospital.”
She smirks playfully. “You’re such a good boy, aren’t you?”
I rolled my eyes. “Just you wait when those two are out, amore. You have no idea how I always imagine you to be tied in bed. You’ll be fed with nothing but my cock.”
She scowled. “Get to work, Mr. Di Angelo. My legs need a massage.” She then laid back on the sofa.
I guess there’s one thing that didn’t change here. She still acts like a shy virgin despite my feasting her ever damn night.
—
I’m usually the first one to wake up in the morning. I crawl towards her stomach and let my head lay over it and press my hand to try to feel the growing lives inside it. The bump was now visible.
“Ow, ow, ow!” My head raised involuntarily as Hailynn pinched my ear.
“What the hell, Hailynn?!” I growled.
“What are you doing worshipping my stomach early in the morning?” She said groggily. “Dante, let me sleep.”
“It’s not early. I already prepared breakfast for you.” She continued to sleep, ignoring my words.
I decided to wake up earlier than usual since we decided to find out the gender of the babies today.
“Don’t you want to find out the gender of the twins?” Her eyes suddenly opened wide. My lips quirked upwards in amusement. “I prepared a chicken soup for you but if you want some bacon and eggs, they’re right downstairs.”
She slowly got up, rubbing her eyes from sleep. “Sometimes I wonder how you learned how to cook. I thought you’re only good with guns.”
“Guns and sex.” I teased.
“Tch. Feed me, Dante Di Angelo.” I rubbed her head making her hair even more messy.
“Sometimes I feel like I really want to kill you. I hate seeing your face. It makes me want to slap you.” She muttered nonstop.
“You already did… many times.” While I blew the hot soup on the spoon for it to get cold before feeding it to her.
“Punch you.”
I chuckled. “Remind me not to get you pregnant again.”
She then gave me a soft smile beyond her sleepy face.
“But I still want to love you.”
