Chapter 1950
Chapter 1950
The interior of the car was rather spacious.
Isabel's driver was driving, and her assistant was in the car as well. Caprice squeezed into the rear and sat next to Isabel.
Isabel did not have her hair tied up and draped it elegantly over her back instead. She wore a classy black high-waisted dress and adorned herself with two pieces of minimal but luxurious necklace that must have cost a fortune.
Caprice recalled how she always saw Isabel dressed casually. It was very rare for her to be dressed so formally. She asked in an intrigued voice, "Are you going to attend some kind of formal event?"
“Not just me. We are going to attend a special event tonight," Isabel said curtly while eyeing Caprice up and down. Then, she turned to the driver." Let's make a quick stop at my place."
"Alright," the driver said and stepped on the gas pedal.
"Isabel, why are we going to your place?" Caprice asked in a puzzled voice.
Isabel gently pinched her cheeks. "We're going to get you dressed up."
Considering the venue tonight, she could not let Caprice show up in such casual attire.
Caprice joined the dots immediately and nodded briskly. "Alright."
Isabel's apartment was in the middle of the city. It was a roughly twenty- minute drive before they got there.
It was an enormous apartment, far larger than Liam's. You could hardly spot the other end of the place from the entrance.
Despite the countless decorative pieces and furniture all over the place, the place managed to preserve a homely ambiance without seeming like a hoarder's lot.
The girls went into the dressing area.
Isabel put on makeup for Caprice, then she opened the wardrobe and revealed a row of evening dresses in all sorts of designs and colors. She attentively went through them to find the best dress for Caprice.
Caprice figured she was only tagging along for the night and expressed mildly, "Isabel, you can just pick a random dress for me. No need to trouble yourself."
"That won't do. This is my first time dressing you up, so | have to make sure | pick the perfect dress."
Having inherited the best features of her mother and father, Caprice was blessed with unparalleled good looks. She was sweet as a flower but still maintained to carry a hint of coolness underneath without seeming haughty on the outside. Since she was only nineteen, she still had not completely grown out of her adolescent looks.
Isabel told herself she had to choose wisely. She scrutinized every dress in her collection.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
As she was nearing the tail end of her collection, a particular lacy floral dress caught her attention. The upper half of the skirt was fitted to the body, but the cut was loose and relaxed from the waist down, spreading out like a flower. It was an elegant piece.
The skirt was pleated and etched with patterns of beautiful roses. The floral patterns were colored in a striking white that added to its refined and elegant look. It looked like something out of a fairytale, appearing tasteful and youthful.
"Caprice, try this one." Isabel immediately handed the dress to Caprice.
Caprice hesitated briefly. "Don’t you think this dress is a little too flashy?”
She only planned to tag along for the night and was wary of stealing the spotlight.
Isabel gently tapped her forehead to silence her hesitation, then she ordered her in a firm voice, "Go get changed right now." Caprice made a face.
"Alright then."
She took the dress and went into the room to get changed.
Isabel sighed faintly.
Caprice was already nineteen-years-old but still dressed like a child. She was too reserved.
It was not surprising that her brother was hesitant to make a move on Caprice since she was still like a child in a lot of ways. The dress was easier to put on than Caprice expected. Furthermore, it was just the right size for her.
She got changed quickly and stepped back out to show her new look to Isabel.
"Isabel, I'm done," she announced.
Isabel was slumped over the couch, scrolling mindlessly on her phone when she heard Caprice. She looked over absent- mindedly and was immediately taken aback.
It took a while for her to recover from her shock. She gawked at Caprice for a while and expressed in an astonished voice, "Wow, you have a way better figure than | thought!"
Despite her tender young age, she had the ideal hourglass figure. Coupled with her looks, it was hardly fair.
She would squash all the competition if she stepped into the entertainment industry looking like that.
