Mated In Chaos: The Broken Mate

Chapter 2

Connor

I’ve spent years plotting against the Silvius family for what they did to my sister. Alpha Rhaegar Silvius. The King of the werewolf race promised her marriage, but as soon as he found his mate, he rejected and humiliated her. He threw her in the dungeons, and later, his mate, the Queen, killed my sister. She didn’t deserve what happened to her. Juliana was kind and only ever wanted love from a bastard who didn’t deserve it.

I was only a child when this happened, but I saw the destruction it caused us. They cut us off financially. We still had money, but barely. My mother was stricken with grief, and it got worse when my grandfather died, and I had to take over. I was pleased that time because, unlike my grandfather who didn’t want retribution, I wanted it. I needed it. I worked hard and did odd jobs, betrayed my kind just for money to keep my pack running. I plotted the death of the Silvius, however, it was hard. They are wealthy and influential. No one would dare go against them. So, I came up with a plan to kidnap their beloved daughter and torture her before killing her. They would feel pain like never before.

Elara Silvius is their only female child, the apple of their eyes, and the key to my revenge.

I managed to enter the pack, but it wasn’t tough because of the mating ball. I kept my eye on her the whole time. I was indeed taken back by her beauty, her pictures did her no justice. She was more beautiful, even more than her mother, the Queen. She was poised and elegant, and her smile was lovely, but I couldn’t be sucked into her looks right now.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Princess Elara was popular yet modest and kind. All the men were ogling her or were intimidated. Others were bold enough to approach her and request a dance, but she politely declined.

I noticed my wolf, Nor, was silent the entire time we were observing the little princess. I went to her, acting charming, and asked for a dance. Her brother and friends were protective of her, but she insisted on allowing me one dance, and they let her.

It was during our dance my wolf said the words I didn’t ever want to hear that moment.

‘Mate,’

It took her a moment to realize, and when she did, a smile grew on her perfect lips,

‘Mate,’ she said quietly. I was dumbfounded, not knowing what to do for a moment, while she looked at me with excitement. I smirked as an idea crossed my mind. I expelled the mate pull.

‘I can’t believe you’re my mate. I’ve waited for you for too long,’ I smiled. She was thrilled like a child on Christmas morning. My heart almost warmed until I remembered how her family destroyed mine. I convinced her to come to my pack, she was unsure, but the mate bond was strong.

‘I need to talk to my parents, brothers, and friends,’ she said.

‘You’ll do that tomorrow, baby. I can’t wait to make you mine. I want you in my pack, my home, and in my bed,’ I kissed her neck sensually. Her breathing was erratic. I had such a huge effect on her, which was good.

‘But where is your home, and what is your name?’ she asked. I ignored her and continued to pleasure her. I wanted to distract her from her questions.

‘You’ll be back soon, for now, leave them a message, and we’ll call them tomorrow,’ I said, giving her a fake pack name. If the king and Queen knew it was our pack, they’d stop her from going.

She nodded eagerly and left a message for her family, promising she’d be back as soon as she could. I wasn’t going to come back.

‘Oh, the goddess is good,’ I smirked, and she kissed my lips tenderly.

‘Indeed,’

I hated her when I saw her descend the stairs. What the fuck was she wearing? It was too sexy… and confident.

She’s not supposed to be confident. I just rejected her without officiating it. She should be crying and miserable! I was growling in anger. Her eyes immediately found mine among the crowd, and the smirk that curled on her lips almost made me retreat. What the actual fuck?

People in my pack weren’t benevolent towards the little princess. They knew how as the daughter’s killer, yet their disdain didn’t faze her. She has a gentle smile on her face. I see a few manage to approach her, including, Patty, my girlfriend. She hates her because she is my mate.

‘If it isn’t the murderer’s daughter. How dare you even come to this party,’ Patty bellowed. Elara raises her eyebrow at her and then looks around her.

‘Are you talking to me?’

‘Yes, bitch, you’re a bitch just like your mother who killed our Alpha’s sister, a bitch!’ she yells. The music stops, and before I can go to her, Elara slaps Patty in the face, and blood splatters from her mouth.

‘Watch your mouth. I won’t tolerate any disrespect from anyone,’ Elara has her by her neck, choking her. I can tell she has a strong wolf inside her. Patty is struggling and scratching at her, but the princess makes it look effortless and is not fazed by her struggle.

I rush to them and grab Elara by the arm, yanking her roughly, and she releases Patty.

‘What is your problem? You could have killed her?!’ I shout. She looks unfazed by my words.

‘Look, everyone. She tried to kill me! This Princess is indeed like her mother’s daughter, a murderer!’ Patty shouts, coughing while trying to catch her breath. Elara almost lunges at her again, but I hold her back. Tingles shoot through my body at the contact of our skin, but I ignore them.

‘Mate,’ My wolf, Nor, purrs. He wants her.

‘Enough, I’ll deal with her,’ I grit my teeth. I drag Elara away, but she gets out of my grip with a growl.

‘Deal with me?’ she laughs. It’s harmonious and velvety. She inhales and crosses her arms against her chest.

‘No need, I’m here to tell you something. It’s good your pack is here to witness this,’ My breath caught in my throat, and I glared at her with so much venom. What is she about to say?
