Chapter 2
She watched him walk in with his two friends, Marlin and Shane. The bitch he calls his girlfriend was there also, clinging unto him and acting all romantic.
She could feel her eyes darken at the sight and she quickly looked away. She really hated that girl’s guts. When she was sure she didn’t look gloomy anymore, she looked up and they had already disappeared out of her sight. Guessed Lian didn’t see her.
She looked back and saw them settling on a table. She finished up her snacks quickly and gestured to Axel to let them leave. They dragged Jabi along also, leaving Alexander alone on the table.

The school bell indicated that it was closing time. Axel was going to drop Jabi off at home and Mia had always followed Lian, in his Lexus l×600 latest model.
As usual, Mia walked towards the black Lexus that was in the school parking lot and waited for Lian, patiently.
A smile appeared on her face when she saw him walking towards me, with his hands in his pockets. He smiled back at her. As she opened the front door to enter, she felt a force drag her back and she landed on the floor. Wincing in pain, she looked up to see who it was.
It was Rosie. That bitch! “I’m sorry..” She said and winked before entering the car.
Lian rushed over to help her up. “What’s the meaning of this Rosie?” He asked angrily. “What? That was a mistake.” She said, faking and innocent face, even though it was clear that she did it intentionally.
Lian glared at her scornfully. “Stop glaring at me. I want my boyfriend to drive me and there’s no way I’d sit at the back seat so she should sit there. I’m rightful to this seat!” She said again. Mia was already burning up with anger.
Lian turned to her with an apologetic face. “I’m so sorry baby sis, but can you sit at the back seat? Just for today… please.” He said to her greatest surprise.
She expected him to get that slut out of that seat but he was telling her these?
Gently, she removed her hand from his and dusted her skirt. “No Thank you, I’ll go with my friends.” She said and walked away.

Axel’s car was blasting with music. He drove this time around, Jabi sat at the front seat with him. enjoying every bit of the drive home, in loud, deafening music.
Mia sat at a corner at the back seat, looking outside the window, trying to get off her mind on what happened earlier. She didn’t pay attention to the car party going on. In fact, the world she was in right then was very quiet.
‘Did I overreact earlier?’ ‘Was I supposed to expect him to get her out of the car?’ She thought.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Jabi’s favourite song suddenly played and she screamed.. “Yeah!! That’s it.”
Her eyes suddenly caught Mia in the side mirror. She turned back to look at her, sitting at a corner and looking dejected.
She reduced the volume of the music and turned to her again. “What’s wrong babe?”
Mia, who wasn’t really deep in thoughts turned to her and faked a smile. “I’m fine.”
“I know you are not.” Jabi objected. “I am.” Mia smiled again. She was trying to convince them but her mood and tone betrayed her.
“Common Mia, we know you are not. We saw the scene earlier.” Axel cut in. They had actually seen it when Rosie dragged her back and took over the front seat of Alpha Lian’s car.
“You don’t need to worry about that. That wench will be taken care of so just cheer up.” Jabi pleaded.
“Taken care of? By who?” Mia asked. If she left her friends to handle Rosie, they’ll definitely kill her. It would be easy anyways, ’cause she is human. Their school was meant for both humans and werewolves, but most of the students were werewolves.
“By us!” Jabi and Axel chorused. Mia smiled anxiously. “I don’t think that’ll be necessary.”
*
She walked straight to the kitchen to get some cookies and juice. They didn’t have maids all because of Julian. He loved it when his home is not being swarmed by maids.
Mia got to her room and changed her clothes. She grabbed her headphones and connected it to her phone, then played one of her favourite songs.
‘Therefore I am’ by Billie Eilish. She munched on her cookies alongside. She didn’t increase the volume that much so she could still hear external sounds.
She suddenly heard the sound of the huge gate to their manor. She took off the headphones and rushed to the window, only to see her brother’s car driving in. She jumped on the bed and pretended as if she was asleep.
As expected, Lian entered her room and saw her lying down in a pink mid-thigh length jumpsuit which revealed her fresh and spotless thighs and legs. He restrained from looking too much, however.
“You and I know that you are not sleeping.” His voice pierced through the silence in the room. Mia didn’t move, she stayed in that same position.
“Stop acting already… your heart is beating at a faster rate and the Mia I know will never sleep without her duvet on” Lian said again.
Damn that wolverine, he listened to her heart. Admitting she lost already, she sat up on the bed and folded her legs. She really loved that position.
She looked away, not wanting to make eye contact with him.
“You know what… you look-” Lian started and she interrupted him. “-Really cute when you are angry. You were going to say that right? It might interest you that I won’t give in to those words.” She said firmly.
” ‘Really ugly when you angry’ I was going to say that.” Julian said.
“Stop playing around.” She warned and he laughed.
“Okay seriously, I’m sorry about what happened earlier.” He apologized, in a serious tone.
Mia didn’t reply. “I’ll get you a necklace from Mr Bates.” Lian said and her eyes widened. “What? Are you for real?” Her mood brightened up immediately.
Mr Bates was a very prestigious man, who at the age of 79, still lives by etiquettes. He rarely comes out during the day. His only movements were from his room to his art workshop which was also under same roof.
Mia had always budged her parents to get her a jewelry from him but they were too busy for that. More so, Just no one can order jewelries from My Bates. Even some presidents’ orders take months to get to the old man, which most of the times, gets rejected.
And now her brother has promised her one from him? Who is she not to forgive him.
She jumped on him suddenly and wrapped her hands around his neck. “You’re forgiven brother!” She shouted and Lian felt like his ears were going to bleed.
“Thank you…” Lian patted her back. “Now get off me, you little witch.” He teased.
She released him and sat down, still grinning. Lian stood up. “Get ready, we’ll be leaving in the next thirty minutes.”
She furrowed her brows. “Where to?” She asked and his face dropped. “For real Mia? Don’t tell me you don’t remember.” He said in disbelief. “Tell me already…”
Lian sighed. “You’re really something, I think we should get that head of yours checked. Well, we’ll be taking mum and dad to the airport, they are returning to Japan today.”
“Oh….” She drawled “Can I go like this?”
“No!” Julian replied instantly and she flinched a little, staring at him weirdly. Lian cleared his throat. “I’ll be out now.”

Mia’s POV
“Mia come over.” Jabi called out to me as I walked towards the class, she and Axel were standing at the corridor. She meant for me to run, why?
I finally got to them. “Did you hear what happened?” She asked anxiously. Seems like she has been waiting for years to ask me. “No.. what happened?” I asked, wearing a confused look on, staring at both of them.
“Well…” Jabi started and she looked at Axel, she looked like she wasn’t sure if she should talk.
“Spill it already…” I said impatiently.
“The red stone is missing!” Alex suddenly cut in.
“What!” A yell escaped my mouth.
