Mistake with the Alpha

Samantha's POV

I walked to my room very happy and tired. I hadn't played for so long since I was a child. I didn't even feel like leaving. The reason I didn't bother to tell the alpha that I wanted to leave so I could go relax for tomorrow was because today is my only day off in a week and the day I do go to visit my parents. Mum already called me yesterday saying that she's expecting me. I didn't let the alpha know about this which I know I should but I didn't want him to stop me from going. I missed my parents and I know they've also missed When I got in, it was almost morning so I had a few hours to relax before the alpha sent for me and I wanted to escape before then. When I got inside, I went to have a hot bath and prepare the clothes I was going to wear.

When I was picking my clothes I began to feel like they were inappropriate for me. I needed something young, not the old nanny clothes I have. I know my mother would gladly do that for me. I put an alarm on my phone so I could wake by 6:30am. My roomies would soon wake up and start their own day. I smiled as I closed my eyes to sleep. If someone had told me that I was going to be able to get close to the Alpha one day, I would have argued with my last breath.

The hours I spent with Sam was one of the most beautiful days I ever had in my entire life. I didn't want it to end but I needed to let go so that she would prepare for work that morning. I had already thought in my heart that she wouldn't run that morning. She had enough yesterday. I got into my room and switched on the light. The truth is I've not been into this room since yesterday morning. When I switched on the light, I saw Ethan lying on my bed. His big eyes were looking at me. "What are you doing in my room?" I asked.

"Where have you been?" he asked, sitting up.

"Well the last time I checked, you are the one to answer to me not the other way round" I said unbuttoning my shirt.

"I didn't invite you here and you are not my wife" I snapped.

Ethan stood up and then sniffed. "You've been with a female all through?" He asked with an excited look.

I didn't even reply to him because I wasn't ready for his screening.

"Don't you lie to me alpha, I can smell her in you" he joked.

"It's none of your business" I snapped.

"C'mon alpha. Who is this lucky lady that got you to spend all night with her" he said sniffing again.

"Stop sniffing, else I'll cut your nose in half," I said sternly.

He then rolled his eyes at me." She's not your mate or is she?" He asked with a curious look.

"I've not found my mate," I said dryly.

"Oh" he said.

"Get out of my room, I want to get some sleep before early morning" I said entering the bathroom.

"Yes alpha," he replied with a smile.

By the time I came back Ethan had left and I had time to think about my time with Sam. No one ever gave me such peace as she does. She's a special girl and I wish she could see it herself. "What are you doing Jaylen? You can't get entangled with your maid. You are an alpha for crying out loud" I chide myself.

Hort snorted at me in mockery.

"When you didn't want to leave her you didn't know that you were an alpha," he said.

"Didn't you cuddle her too?" I snapped.

"I didn't deny it. You are the one who wants to" he said.

"You know we need a powerful Luna. Don't let us ruin it with just a maid" I told him.

"I'm an alpha wolf, I do what I want" he boasted.

Hort can be a very stubborn wolf and I know that. He's kind of calm today and I'm happy with that. I just want a peaceful life and I know I can't get it.

"I'm sure going to see that girl again even if you don't want to" he said firmly and I chuckled.

"As if you can do it without me. You better not get too attached because we still have a mate to meet" I said to Hort.

"Says the guy who is already looking forward to another day with her" Hort mocked me.

I don't know when this big bad wolf suddenly became a mocker. He doesn't seem grumpy these days.
