Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 95 Your Performance

“No.”

While Blanca was running her own calculations, Matthew refused bluntly.

Afraid that Carrie and Louise were going to drag her down with her, Blanca hurriedly looked towards Matthew. With the old man and everything else here, she deliberately softened her tones. “Darling, just let me go with Louise. This way I’d have someone watching my back, right?NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

“Right? Come on, just let me. Otherwise, it’d be so boring for me to go to the office, not knowing anyone there.”

Blanca showed a sweet smile and looked at Matthew expectantly, even shaking his shoulders with a hand…

She really wanted in the company!

Even if she had to put Louise near her as a ticking time bomb!

“…oh? You want Louise to go that badly?” Matthew suddenly took Blanca by the shoulders and into his arms. His smile was wicked, and his voice low and tempting as he leant next to Blanca and chuckled, “Then beg me.”

“…” Beg him?

Beg him her ass!

Matthew said that in front of everybody, and Blanca wanted to find a hole in the ground and crawl into it. Good lord. The old man was still here.

Blushing bright red, cheeks steaming, Blanca faced against the ravenous looks of Carrie and Louise and squeezed several words out from the cracks of her teeth. “What do you want me to do?”

“Hmm? Well that… depends on your performance.”

The man’s voice was low and magnetic and brought Blanca’s whole body boiling.

With his hand on her shoulder, his palm was hot. Blanca bit her lip and snarled quietly, “You win this round!”

The two had been whispering among themselves, while Carrie and Louise were getting frantic already. Came to think of it, Blanca pushed Matthew off her and drew away, looking at the old man on his sofa. Thankfully, Alan didn’t say anything about them whispering, and Blanca heaved a sigh of relief before taking the old man’s arm. “How about you let me and Carrie go to the office, Grandpa, so Carrie can continue to take care of business at home. Isn’t that the best of both worlds?”

The main thing was she could finally learn some awesome white-collar skills!

It was what Blanca had always wanted.

“Fine, you two are young and newly married. These old bones didn’t consider that. Very well, stick together. As for Louise…” the old man began.

Hearing him call her name, Louise squirreled up to him like a lackey, none of her past ladylike manner remaining. “I’m right here, Grandpa. Don’t worry, I’ll behave and learn well in the office.”

“Fine, if you say so, then go with Blanca.”

With the old man’s approval, Louise was too happy to stop grinning.

And so that little drama came to an end. As the family breakfasted, Carrie and Louise couldn’t hide their grins as Mr. Johnson had people tidy up the living room.

They didn’t know if it’d be a good thing or a bad thing to have the young mistress head to the office…

After the meal and on the way back, Blanca narrowed her eyes and studied Matthew in detail, waiting for him to speak. But he didn’t. Finally, Blanca lost her patience, pouted, and said, “Did you already know what the old man called us there over for, Matthew?”

“I did. What of it?”

“T-Then why didn’t you tell me beforehand…”
