Chapter 38
Chapter 38
Jimmy frowned. He disliked attending all these parties because he did not want to see his
father like this. He knew that at business dinners, one had to know how to ingratiate oneself if they were not of high status.
Nonetheless, knowing and liking were two different things.
Soon, Jimmy looked at Cynthia. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Indeed, being by Cynthia’s side was the most comfortable for him.
“Didn’t you want to take me to the hotel?” Cynthia stared at Thomas. “Why aren’t we leaving yet?”
Everyone looked confused, including Thomas, and Joshua also suddenly tightened his grip on his phone.
Only Jimmy lowered his gaze and silently drank from his glass, not daring to say anything.
He knew very well that Cynthia was up to something!
“What’s the hurry? Don’t think spending the night with Mr. Neal will give you the upper hand.
Thomas felt uncomfortable with Cynthia’s words. It sounded as if he was a pimp or something. “To Mr. Neal, you’re just someone to vent on.”
Joshua’s eyes darkened slightly, and he fixed his gaze on Cynthia’s face. He had to admit that. Cynthia was rather impressive for handling such unpleasant commentaries with an unchanged expression and taking them all in.
“Mr. Neal, about our cooperation…” Thomas returned to his bootlicking self and said tentatively before leaving,
“Mr. Cheyne will make the arrangements,” Joshua uttered.
Thomas immediately became happy. “Thank you, Mr. Neal.”
The most desired collaboration for these businessmen was with the Yates Group and the Neal Group. Thomas would not have a chance with the Yates Group, but now he collaborated with the Neal Group!
As long as there was a chance in the future, he would definitely establish a close partnership with Joshua and strive for a more intimate collaboration.
With these thoughts in his mind, Thomas left with Cynthia.
She was very cooperative throughout the process. After all, she could only give him a good beating once they arrived at the hotel.
In the private dining room, everyone chatted for a while.
They all had enough insight to know when to interfere or not with matters of consent.
After ten minutes, someone said, “Mr. Neal, since you have something to attend to today, we won’t disturb you any longer.”
“We can discuss our collaboration another day.”
“Mr. Neal, what do you think?”
Joshua scanned the group before standing up.
“As for the specifics of the collaboration, I’ll have Mr. Harrison follow up with you. However, the ultimate decision on whether we can work together will depend on the project itself.”
With that, Joshua left the private dining room.
Yoel greeted him politely.
“Where’s Cynthia?” Joshua felt a heavy weight in his chest.
Yoel replied, “We’ve sent people to follow them. If Mrs. Neal is in danger, they’ll save her.”
Yoel knew Joshua like the back of his hand and knew what to do before being ordered.
Even though he felt relieved, Joshua’s response was cold. “Mind your own business!”
Yoel maintained his smile. It was hard to guess Joshua’s true feelings.
“Make arrangements with Sky Holdings. Trash belongs in the trash can, not the dinner table,” Joshua adjusted his tie and spoke in a hoarse voice.
Yoel quickly understood Joshua’s intent and replied, “Got it.”
Sky Holdings was a company under Thomas’s control, and Joshua was taking revenge on behalf of Cynthia.
“Go to the hotel,” Joshua said solemnly.
