Bailey's pov
The familiarity of that voice sends a sharp chill down my spine, my heart hammering in my chest. It can’t be. It cannot be him. lam imagining this
There was no way.
It just can't be.
Yet, his scent is familiar, and his voice...
Pieces start to fall into place and my stomach lurchs and I gag as realization dawns on me. Someone I considered a friend. Someone I trusted. Why would he do this? Why would he do this to me?
Why would Stefan do this to me?
A wave of betrayal weighs in my chest and also fury. I can't believe I trusted him. Why would he even do this? I rake my brain, trying to think of why Stefan would even play this sick game with me but came up with nothing.
But then when he dipped his head in the crook of my neck and inhaled my scent. sighing with pleasure, a sinking realization dropped in my belly. " You've always smelt so good Bailey.”
His words sent a sharp shiver of disgust and repulsion clashing within me. His close proximity makes my stomach churn and I am so sure I'd vomit. When I felt the surge, I swallowed, afraid I'd choke on my own vomit.
Stefan chuckles, releasing my hair and moving away from my neck. " I'm sure you're wondering what's going on huh?”
My heart skips rapidly and my mind races. He's right. I am wondering, but one thing I've learned from watching thriller movies, is that the kidnapper is never generous to spill why exactly they kidnapped the person
If they do, they'd first beat around the bush, draw it out until the end. My stomach churns wondering which route Stefan will take. Will he tell me? Or will he draw this out and mock me?
It wouldn't matter, I am to his mercy now, unable to free myself, not even see where I am or speak. Whatever is in my mouth is sogging up with my saliva, causing me to gag.
He laughs, as if knowing that I am gagging because of the horrible taste of whatever cloth he pushed into my mouth
“You know this could've been avoided Bailey,” I turn my head away when his finger touches my cheek and trails down to my neck. A shiver of disgust dance down my spine.
He chuckled and he moves. Now he's in front of me. his breath so close it’s hitting my nose. His breath doesn't smell, but his betrayal and the fear he sets in me make me repulsed by anything about him. I gag.
"I'll tell you what," he hummed, fingers now pinching my chin roughly so I would not be able to move my head. I want to badly tell him to fuck off, but it's impossible right now.
So instead I clench my hands, stiffening my body as if waiting for what he’d do next.
"I'll remove this from your eyes,” his fingers brush against the material that covered my sight and I flinched back. “Just so I can see those pretty eyes.” He chuckled, hands going behind my head where the knot was.
I don't know if I want to see him right now, I'd rather not set my eyes on him because everything will feel too real. Reality will hit me in the face and right now, I rather pretend this was a really bad nightmare.
However, Stefan is already undoing the knot behind my head and in seconds the cloth is sliding down my face. giving me freedom to open my eyes and see where I am.
My heart speeds, and I peel them open slowlyand try to adjust to the dimly lit area. It looks like I'm ina basement of some sort. If this ise basement then it looks abandened. There's dirt and grin everywhere, and puddles of dirty water in the corners.

There's one small window, so tiny I wouldn't be able to fit through if I managed to get out of these binds.
"Such a lovelysplace huh?" Stefan joked, causing me to bring my eyes to his. I glare at him, trying to deliver all the betrayal and contempt I feel towards I him through my eyes. But Stefan just smirks, quite unfazed by ry Silent hostility. Content_belongs to’ 4
His eyes danced in the dimly lit room, causing shivers of panic to rake over my body." I bet you want to speak don’t you baby?”
Goosebumpscef disgust and fear flash on my-skin, and I visibly shivered atthe way he called me. However it s not the reason for, goosebumps of fright to bead onm skinNt's the sound of another” footstep heading down here” that did it

He was working with someone.
My heart hammered and my vision blurs when I hear his name being called, the tone filled with amusement.
