My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1293

"I'm happy to see Grandma too." Skylar immediately came over and sat down.

The strawberries on the plate in front of her gave off an enticing aroma. They had just been picked and were very fresh. So, she picked one up and ate it. "This is so delicious!"

"Eat as much as you want. If you don't have enough, I'll have Veronica pick more," Gloria said with a loving smile.

Veronica quickly responded upon hearing this. "I'll go right away."

"No, it's fine. I had a big lunch, so I can't eat much strawberries now," Skylar said.

"Alright, then I'll pick more when you want more," Veronica said. She had no children, and her husband had passed away from an illness when she was young. Since then, she and Edgar stayed at Pearlhall Residence to care for Gloria. Now, she treated Skylar as if she were her own daughter. Moreover, both she and Skylar wished for Gloria's health to keep improving.

"Thank you, Veronica."

"I'll go check on dinner."

Veronica went to the kitchen with a smile, thinking about what to prepare for the evening.

Skylar sat with Gloria for a while, watching a drama. They projected it from a phone as Gloria didn't like foreign shows.

In the evening, several guests came over to the house. They were Gloria's university classmates who happened to live nearby. They would come over occasionally to catch up with her. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

While the elders were chatting together, Skylar sat nearby, joining in for a while.

Just then, a video call came through her phone. So, she went upstairs to answer it.

"Simona."

On the screen, Simona appeared to be in a hotel room, with a warm light glowing in the background. "Skye, are you in Murida now?"

"Yes. By Jipsburg time, you should be asleep right now. Are you up late or just waking up?" Skylar asked.

Simona yawned before answering, "I

might have slept for a bit, but it felt like I was half awake the whole time. Skylar, do you have a moment? I have some things on my mind I want to talk to you about."

These were things she couldn't share with her close friends or her brother. The first person she wanted to confide in was Skylar. "Sure, I'm free now. Are you having trouble with your studies?"

"No, it's about a relationship." Simona looked at her phone, her face full of worry.

Skylar raised an eyebrow slightly. "Is there someone you like?"

When she went back to the country this time, she didn't get the chance to see Simona, so they didn't talk

much. And with everything going on recently with Joe, she had yet to reach out to Simona or speak to Aiken.

Seeing Simona's expression, it was likely she was in a relationship or had a crush.

When Simona heard the question, her face flushed. Even through the screen, her red ears and cheeks were visible. She had a girlish shyness and sparkle in her eyes.

"Skylar, you really know me best. Yes, I do like someone, and we just confirmed our relationship a few days ago. We're classmates from the same year. He takes great care of me and is very talented.

"A lot of girls at school like him. I've even seen girls publicly confess to him during events, but he didn't accept any of them.

"I just had a bit of a crush on him but

thought I wasn't his type. But one day, he told me he liked me, which which caught me off guard, and I fell for him. I've never liked anyone as much as I like him. I did have feelings for Caleb before, but it was different.

"It's just that... my brother doesn't like him and says we're not well-matched. I feel stuck. He wants to meet my brother, but if my brother finds out we're dating, he'll definitely be angry."

Skylar thought for a moment. Since Aiken mentioned they were not well-matched, he must have looked into the young man.

Considering how much Aiken cared about Simona, an ordinary mismatch wouldn't be an issue. So, there might be something concerning about the young man.
