Edith panicked. "Mr. Hughes, that's not what I meant. I-I really like you..." "That's enough. Get out!" Jasper cut her off. He was not to be challenged.

Edith looked sadly at Jasper. Seeing how firm he was and how there was no space for negotiation, she nodded slightly and left the office. Tears filled her eyes.

On her way out, she overheard Jasper speaking to Tyson on the phone. "Send me the surveillance footage of the floor below over the past few days. A woman was sitting next to them. She was slightly plump. Her face and eyes were round. She was the cute type.

She was Rachel, the children's mother on paper.

Edith instantly became angry when she saw them sitting there.

She walked up to them arrogantly.

"Ms. Price, nice to meet you. I'm Rachel. We've met previously. Do you still remember me?" Rachel quickly stood up and greeted Edith passionately.

Edith glared at her coldly before

Rachel's passion was greeted with coldness. In fact, Edith even looked down on her. Rachel's smile instantly faded away. She awkwardly pursed her lips and refrained from speaking.

Edith was about to ask them to leave when someone tugged on the hem of her shirt twice. She looked down and saw the feminine boy standing next to her. He was holding onto the hem of her shirt. Edith frowned unhappily.

"Miss, can I ask you a question?" The boy asked in a soft voice.

Edith was about to lose her temper, but she suddenly saw the receptionist looking at Julian with a smitten expression on her face. The other employees who walked past were also impressed with how good the boy looked. If she pushed the boy away, she would be in the wrong.

Edith suppressed the rage and annoyance she felt. She chuckled. "What's the question? Go ahead. Once you're done, hurry up and leave Hughes Corporation. This isn't a playground."

Julian smiled naively. "Miss, if a fierce person runs after you, and you cannot beat him, what would you do?"

"I'd run, of course. I'd run to somewhere safe and call the cops," Edith answered without hesitation.

As expected, childrens' questions were immature.

Edith's face sank when she heard this.
