Chapter 111
Rachel looked heartbroken. "Wills, they actually locked you up? You weren't the one who spread the rumor, and there's no need to lock someone up for spreading rumors anyway! I'm going to demand an explanation from that damned Hughes Corporation!" Rachel was fuming with anger.
"Mommy..."
"Mommy..."
Tears welled up in Tristan and Julian's eyes when they saw Willow being locked behind bars.
Willow immediately tried to calm them down. "Mommy is invincible. This is only temporary. Trust me, I'll find a way to leave this place with my head held high."
"Okay!" Tristan nodded. He believed in his mother.
Julian held Willow's hand and nudged his cheek in her palm as he sobbed. "Mommy..."
Jullian's tiny cheek felt warm on her hand. This warmth spread to and mellowed her heart.
She had thought she was pitiful too, but Julian's words filled her with strength so she no longer felt pathetic.
She was a mother. Her children needed her care and protection.
What would happen to her children if she was gone?
Mothers are strong!
She couldn't compromise or give up no matter what.
She smiled and caressed Julian's face. "Julian, you have to set an example for your sisters as an older brother. You mustn't cry when you get home. You can't tell them that I'm pitiful either. You have to tell them and Grandma that I'm doing well, that I'm working overtime so they can eat better. Do you understand?"
Julian wiped his tears and pursed his lips, trying hard to stop himself from crying. However, the urge to cry was so overwhelming that his chin was trembling as he held himself back. Tears filled his obsidian eyes, threatening to fall at any moment.
Willow couldn't bear to see him this way, so she said lovingly, "I'll let you cry now, my little crybaby, but you can't cry at home."
Upon hearing this, tears poured from Julian's eyes like a waterfall.
Tristan came over and hugged Julian. He patted Julian on the head and said, "There, there, Juls. We have to believe in Mommy." Julian nodded while choking back his tears.
Tears welled up in Willow's eyes too as she watched them. She turned to Rachel and said, "Rachel, I wasn't
locked up because of the rumor
Hughes Corporation's fashion show was ruined. Someone sold the internal design to a competitor."
"Are they suspecting that you stole the design?" Rachel's eyes widened in shock when she came to a realization.
Willow nodded, looking forlorn. "I was framed. The culprit is probably the same person who framed me for spreading rumors." "Then, what do we do now?" Rachel was lost.
"Rachel, go back for now. Tell my mother that I'm working overtime if she asks," Willow said.
"But what about you..." Rachel was worried.

"Don't worry. I have a way to clear my name," Willow said firmly.
Having been best friends for so long, Rachel knew Willow well.
The determination in Willow's eyes told her that she had a plan. Thus, Rachel left with the boys.
Willow closed her eyes after she watched Rachel leave with her sons. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that the goal of both the rumors and theft was to get her in trouble.
What do you think?
