Liza was puzzled. “The groom is here to pick up the bride? Why are you closing the door?“.

“You don’t get it,” Erica said, piling up everything she could find to block the door. “This is tradition.”

“What kind of tradition?” Liza asked.

“You wouldn’t understand,” Erica replied. “Just don’t let those guys in easily.”

“But among them is your cousin.”

“True, but not today.”

“But if you don’t let them in, how are they supposed to take the bride away? What if the wedding ceremony is delayed?”

Erica paused. “Oh, right. When can I let Marion take you away?”

Erica pulled out her phone and started searching online. “Dammit. Network lag.”

Randy turned to Garland, who winced. “I’m broke.“.

Finally, Randy looked at Michael; who said blandly, “Don’t look at me. I’m not the best man.”

Resigned to fate, Randy sighed, “Alright, I’ll pay ”

He took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to Erica. “Here. Can we take the bride now?”

“Wait a minute.” Erica glanced at Liza, who was standing there like a lemon. “Don’t just stand there. Show your hand.”

Liza was puzzled. “What’s this for?”

“To ask me for money,” Randy sighed, producing another card.

Then he handed one to Michael as well.

Erica nodded in satisfaction. “Alright, picking up the bride isn’t easy. Marion, you’ll have to pass our test.”
