Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Both George and Richard couldn't sacrifice their beloved daughter because it's their ticket to the upper
class, especially now that they're dating rich men.
Even Old Man Smith couldn't let his favourite granddaughters marry Levy Anthony, but he also couldn't
let the smith property be given away to those poor stinking people. So he gazed at Sandra with cold
eyes and disdain, as if she were his enemy rather than his grandchild.
"What are the conditions for you to marry and leave this family for good?"
She looked at him for a second, then laughed out loudly, as if mocking them, and she told him, "don't
worry grandpa, I wasn't planning on staying in this family even more letting my parents stay here," Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
which surprised the Smith family, who looked at each other before looking at her and asking her
conditions.
Her aunts, wives, and nephews were the happiest because they believed they would be lead by their
bad boy brother and couldn't wait to see what he would do once he was no longer a member of the
Smith family.
" Sandra, come down, don't rush to make a decision that involves your future, you can't just decide like
that, I know I'm not the best father to you or the best husband to your mother since I've let you suffer
for so long, but I can't let you ruin your future like that and will do all in my power to get you back to
school. I promise you that dad will make it happen, so don't ruin your life."
She looked at her father, who was about to cry, and her mother, who was already crying, and told them
not to worry since being married isn't the worst thing in the world, and furthermore, what's the
difference?
"The difference now is that you are still younger and you are marrying someone you don't know, it's not
about him being poor, but marriage is built on love, trust, respect, and friendship," her father answered.
"Well, it doesn't matter because I've already decided, and besides, if he's a jerk, there's always
divorce," so they should relax because the agreement doesn't indicate they shouldn't divorce, and her
parents calmed down a little after hearing that.
She turned to her grandparents and said,
"I want you to break the agreement you have with my father that he must work for the Smith company,
and then pay him all the money he demands from the company and let us leave the Smith family
household."
“If you can do that, I'm willing to marry; if you can't, just wait for your favourite granddaughters' futures
to be ruined and their prospects of marrying into a wealthy family to be ruined, because people will
know you don't want to keep your words. You have five minutes to decide since I don't have all day to
wait for you."
Old Smith looked at Sandra as if she had grown two heads and thought: Was she always stupid or was
she just playing dumb? He didn't want to admit it, but if he let Andrew go, the company would collapse,
especially now that his grandson was a loser who just wanted to enjoy being with women in bars all
day, but he also couldn't imagine if his favorite granddaughter was married to a useless man like Levy
Anthony,
and more importantly, they were now associated with the Jackson family and Ezza Entertainment, one
of the best entertainment companies in City A after Dramatic Entertainment.
His sons contend, "Dad let him go and we'll see what he'll do when he no longer has the money we
give him; he'll come back and beg because no company will let him work for them."
His granddaughters also argued, "Grandpa, you can't make us marry that man, you know we are
already in a relationship and it would be in our family's interest to get married soon".
All of this was going on while William, Levy Anthony's personal assistant, looked at them as if he was
watching fools. "How could these people be foolish like that if Young master was here and they called
him poor or good for nothing! He didn't know what Boss will do to them but never the less he just kept
quiet and observed Sandra who may be his future boss", he wondered.
She looked beautiful, and her face was really calm, as if what was going on had nothing to do with her;
it was difficult to read her mind because she didn't display any emotion on her face.
This surprised him because he had been observing her since she entered, she acted mature, and she
knew exactly what she wanted and how to achieve it from the start, the Smith family was just playing
along with her games.
Edward Smith agreed to Sandra's request because he couldn't bear the thought of his favourite
granddaughters having their futures ruined or the Smith family's properties being handed over to
someone else.
This way, he can get two things for his ego: Getting rid of this useless granddaughter, remaining with
his company, and maintaining his connections with the Jackson family and Eza entertainment
company.
Additionally, he will ensure that no company hires his ungrateful son and see if he will not return.
He smiled at Sandra as he imagined his wonderful future, unaware that this was the beginning of the
Smith family's demise.
Her cousins said “Sandra now that grandpa has accepted your conditions don’t go back on your words”
"Well cousins, unlike you, I'm a woman of my words. However, we need an agreement done between
the lawyers, you can call your lawyer to come with the contract agreement you had with my dad be
terminated, then I will also call my lawyer to come to make a new contract. How is that? Grandpa," she
said with a smile as if what she said wasn't at all insulting.
Old man Smith greeted his teeth as he felt like killing his granddaughter. He wanted to cheat and not
terminate the contract, then after she married, her father still works for him and he can kill two birds
with one stone, but who knew this scumbag would ruin his plan.
He told his eldest son to call the family lawyer, he wicked at him as a sign of telling him to tell the
lawyers to play with the contract, because he knew that even if this little bastard tried to act smart, she
couldn't outsmart the best lawyer in City A, and who else could she get to compete with Enoch from
City A firm? They waited for forty minutes, a man in his fifties stepped in with a bag full of documents,
looking arrogant as if everyone was beneath him.
Smith was the first to see him, so he rose up to show respect, greeted him, and introduced him to the
Smith family, leaving Andrew and his daughter behind.
He then went straight to the subject, saying, "Well, we'd like to make some changes in an agreement I
made with my son."
