Chapter 248
Chapter 248
A few of the most worked-up fans pushed their way to the front, hurling insults at the onlookers.
"What's with you people? Stop dragging our Barbie's name through the mud. She's innocent!"
"Yeah, you're just a bunch of jealous hags who can't stand how gorgeous and sweet-voiced our Barbie is. You're trying to tarnish her reputation on purpose! Why don't you old, ugly witches just stay home and spare us the sight of you?"
"Seriously, these haters are the worst, spewing their venom because they can't handle how amazing Barbie is. It's sickening how they try to drag her down!"
As the fanatical fans' tirades escalated, more and more of them confronted the mall-goers, the clash intensifying by the minute. Barbie sensed the chaos spiraling out of control. She shoved a bodyguard aside and jabbed a finger at Liam, her voice sharp with fury.
"Move it! I've got a grand opening to attend. Be smart and step aside, now!"
Liam stood his ground, unfazed by Barbie's demand. As the shouting match between her fans and the onlookers reached a fever pitch, Barbie snapped at her staff and bodyguards, "Get him out of my way, and don't you dare hold me up!"
Her fans swaggered through the crowd, sneering down at Liam. One of them shoved him, barking, "What are you waiting for, get lost! You think you can worm your way into Barbie's circle? In your dreams! Beat it, and make it quick!" This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
The assistant's push only fueled Liam's rage. He stood firm, his eyes icy, a palpable aura of menace radiating from him.
Liam's eyes narrowed, locking onto the assistant. "Apologize! Or nobody's going anywhere!"
The moment Barbie heard that, her temper flared. She jabbed a finger at Liam and yelled, "Enough chit-chat, just get him out of here!"
Suddenly, the security guards shifted their stance, their faces turning menacing as they lunged at Liam.
However, Liam did not budge. As they came at him, he scooped up Jovie with one arm and lashed out with the other. Before anyone knew it, the guards were sprawled on the floor.
The noisy crowd fell silent at the sight.
Barbie, caught in the middle, looked horrified. She had not expected Liam to be such a tough nut to crack. Her anger boiled over.
She pointed at Liam, her face twisted with rage. "Don't you dare think this stunt gets you anywhere near me. You're the worst kind of fan, exploiting even a little kid! Listen up, I've got legions of fans. If you don't back off, I'll put you on blast online. Whatever happens after that is on you!"
Barbie's threat was crystal clear: step aside or face the wrath of her online followers.
Cyberbullying could be trivial for some, but it has dire consequences for others. Recently, relentless harassment from unhinged fans led someone to take their own life.
Too many have met the same fate due to online abuse. It had become an all-too-common response to any issue: just throw it onto the web and let the internet take its toll.
Sure enough, the moment Barbie's accusations hit the air, her rabid fans whipped out their phones, snapping pics and recording videos of Liam and Jovie. They yelled with fury, "Check this out, people! This nutjob is desperate for fame, using a kid to cause a scene and even blocking Barbie's path on purpose!"
