Chapter 49
Chapter 49
At that moment, the police chief, Howard, rushed in with his subordinates.
Police sirens rang outside the Walker Mansion as the entire place was surrounded.
As Howard entered the mansion, his attention was immediately caught by a figure within the crowd. It was Liam wearing a dark green battle robe with a gold dragon embroidered on it. The power that he exuded sent a shiver down Howard’s spine.
Even if he was just standing there and not doing anything else, he had an air of authority that drew people to submit to him.
Not to mention, there were thousands of Pendragon Warriors surrounding him, being on standby.
The Walkers’ men, on the other hand, were all on the ground. Some were dead, but some were wailing in pain because of their injuries. The floors were flooded with blood and rainwater.
The Walkers, who were pleading for their lives, saw Howard as a great savior when he appeared. They clambered to him with all their might. and confessed their crimes in tears. Some crimes were as serious as murder and arson, others as petty as stealing a pack of cigarettes. They were afraid they would be taken away if they did not confess to everything.
Howard could not help but scoff deep down when he saw the Walkers offering themselves up. To think just a few days ago, Keith had personally gone to his office to threaten him.
After his subordinates were almost done questioning and registering the remaining members of the Walkers, Howard quickly jogged
toward Liam.
He was stunned by the formidable air Liam was exuding when he approached him. It took him a while to come to their senses.
“Mr. Cole! How do you do? I am the police chief of Drunham City,
Howard Mosier!”
“Mr. Mosier,” Liam greeted with a raise of his eyebrow.
Howard quickly replied respectfully, “Mr. Cole, I am here to tell you something by Mr. Lynch’s order. Besides Drunham City, the Walkers have even more powerful backers in Athenapolis. That is why the Walkers could stay on the top for so many years here.”
“Morgan’s wife, Trent and Clora’s mother, came from the century-old Carson family! The head of the Carson family is actually a great general of Biskeland. He has two sons. One of them works at the headquarters in Athenapolis, and the other is the commander-in-chief of Northern Biskeland! They hold extraordinary powers!”
Howard was shocked when he got this information. It was no wonder that the Walkers were so arrogant. They had what it takes to be this cocky since they had such a powerful force backing them up
“You’ve obliterated the Walkers, killing Morgan and his children. The Carson family in Athenapolis may not let this go easily!” said Howard
Liam’s expression hardened as he listened to Howard. He raised an eyebrow and said in a frigid tone, The Carson Family from Athenapolis? It was always going to be a fight to the death between the Walkers and me. If the Carson family dares to intervene and lay their fingers on my wife and daughter, then let’s see which one of us is more powerful.
“Well… The Carson family has been in Athenapolis for years. Their connections run deep. They have other forces involved with them too. The relationships between distinguished families are particularly
complicated. If you suddenly attack the Carson family, many families. will be affected. The Carsons are not like the Walkers. I’m afraid…”
Upon saying that, Howard wiped off the sweat on his forehead. What Liam said earlier made Howard feel so terrified that he broke out in a
cold sweat.
Distinguished families, like the Carsons, had been around for years and had many connections. They could not be destroyed so easily. Once a conflict broke out, too many things would be at stake. It would stir up a storm.
What mattered in the military regions would be a troop’s force. However, the connections that were involved in the business and political field would be much more complex. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

If the average person felt it was hard to go against a force like the Walkers, then fighting against the Carsons would be reaching for the
moon.
