Chapter 58 The Pathetic Man Certainly Have Something To Be Despised
Lois stared at them who seemed to be hugging each other, and the sadness and indignation in her heart gradually surged into her mind.
She couldn't control herself, grabbed a bottle of wine next to Lily, and smashed it on her head.
With his back to Lois, Kevin didn't see what was happening. Taking advantage of the sudden gasp and his sensitivity to danger, he held on to Lily's waist and tried to dodge the attack.
However, Lois was faster. Seeing that the bottle was about to hit Lily's head, Kevin frowned and pressed his thin lips tightly. Then he kicked away Lois.
Lily soon reacted. She went rigid, but she didn't move at all.
Until she heard the low, painful voice of Lois, then she turned around and looked in the direction of the voice.
"What happened?" On the other side, Jason walked slowly over, knitting his brows in a frown and looking grim.
People in their middle age seldom get angry. Moreover, it was a center figure of this banquet. He heard the noise far away.
As he approached, he saw the domestic spokesperson of the group fell to the ground in an extremely indecent posture. On the top of her head were the mixed food and wine on the table.
Jason's face darkened instantly. He was quite unsatisfied with the woman who just gave a speech on the stage. It took only a few minutes when she get down from the stage, the company's reputation was totally ruined by her.
"Mr. He, you don't have a good taste for selecting the spokesperson." The anger in Kevin's heart couldn't be subdued.
At this moment, he didn't care at all that he was the culprit behind the farce. Thinking of the wine bottle that had almost smashed on Lily's head, he couldn't help but lose his temper.
Jason could hear the unfriendly tone in Kevin's voice, he was furious. He was angry that Lois ruined the celebration party of ZY Group in front of these celebrities, and he was annoyed that Kevin, a younger generation, showed up in front of him in such an occasion.
His assistant came up carefully and asked the security guard to take Lois away.
With a cold look at all this, Lily didn't feel guilty or sorry for what would happen to Lois next.
The pathetic man certainly have something to be despised.
There was no enmity between her and Lois. But she could make trouble for her again and again, so she must solve it as soon as possible. Like Hana, what a good friend for her, just broke up with her easily. She would never show mercy to others in the future.
At the moment when Lois was pushed away by Kevin, she hit against a table not far away from her. The table was knocked over by her and she was totally in a mess. Most importantly, there was a light footprint in the middle of her eye-catching pink dress. She had been well-dressed up before, but now she looked like a drowned mouse.
"We're leaving, Mr. He," Regardless of Lily's objection, Kevin directly took her in his arms and was about to leave, not giving a damn about Jason.
Though unable to struggle, Lily could not show her discord with Kevin in front of the public. She could only be dragged out of the party.
As she passed by Jason, she cast an apologetic look at him.
No matter how close she and Kevin would be in the future, she would not rely on someone wholeheartedly. Now, it was also her goal to make use of the relationship with Kevin to build a good relationship with others like Jason.
"Don't you think you went too far just now? Nothing happened to me... " Sitting in the car, Lily asked him hypocritically.
Kevin glanced at her and said nothing.
The man's dark and deep eyes reflected her figure. She just felt that her true thoughts were totally exposed.
Lily was frightened by him.
But soon, Kevin looked ahead without any emotion in his eyes. She also stared straight ahead. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
No one talked all the way and they arrived home soon. Lily got off the car and headed straight to the door.
"You go back first. I have something to deal with." Kevin's voice came from behind.
"Yes." Lily suddenly wanted to say something to Kevin when she was about to walk into the house. But when she was about to turn around, her phone rang.
She took out her phone. It was from Holly.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Lily picked it up and looked back. Kevin's car has turned to the corner already. At that moment, she only saw the tail of the car.
She took a deep sigh and walked into the house.
"Lily, are you free now? I want to have a talk with you. " It was Holly's voice.
She checked the screen. It was eight o'clock. It was still early, so she immediately agreed. She stopped and walked out of the garage and drove a car out.
"I'm coming now." Lily said and hung up the phone.
As Holly was leaving the day after tomorrow, a dash of guilt came over Lily.
She was not a good daughter. She has nothing to do but accept the accident of her family, she did not doing her due responsibility and obligation.
The car moved slowly towards where Holly was.
On the way, her cell phone rang.
Lily slowed down and glanced at the screen. The number had hidden. But she still answered the phone.
"Is it Lily?"
The voice at the other end of the phone was hoarse and harsh, gloomy and seemed to be able to be heard.
She hummed coldly, and then asked, "who are you?"
The man on the other end of the phone let out a strange scream. After a long time, when she was about to hang up the phone impatiently, the man suddenly said, "Haber was injured."
She couldn't help widening her eyes and breathing a little fast. She asked incredulously again, "what did you say?"
"You'll know after you go to the jail." Then he hung up without waiting for her response.
When she was still asking, the phone was already hung up.
She gritted her teeth and drove to the prison. On the way, she called Holly.
"Mom, I have something urgent to deal with. I'll see you tomorrow morning." As she spoke, she drove the car at a high speed.
Lily quickly drove to the prison where Haber was in. When she arrived, all the lights had been turned off.
The prison was in the suburb, surrounded by weeds, accompanied by heavy chirps of insects and rustling sounds.
The door of the prison was closed. An old street lamp was beside it.
The dim light shone on the road and scattered on the walls of the prison. Surrounding was in complete darkness.
