Angie sat down on the long sofa like a queen, within a few minutes of coming into her original home, she had changed and that was because of her poor dumb husband.

“So in other words you kidnapped dad?” Nicholas asked in unbelief.

“Stop sounding like your mother when you know exactly what I did” Old Grayson said with a loud scoff. If ever a competition was held for foolish people he was that these two would make it to the first position.

Clara pointed at the top shelf where a white big hairy teddy bear was resting on. “I want that one”

Louisa glanced towards Dylan but he didn’t give her any face at all. Were they serious now? how was she supposed to reach that teddy bear up so high?

“You are much more taller than us why don’t you get it?” she questioned.

Dylan placed his two hands into his pocket, his gaze landed briefly at the bear before it returned to Louisa.

“You have no other choice than to do it”

“And what if I say no? we are no longer in the office for you to order me around” she fired back harshly.

“Get it down or you kiss your apartment goodbye!”

Dylan suddenly hard the urge to take back his words, but Clara beat him to it, she stepped on his foot to stop him from speaking.

“Don’t keep me waiting!” Clara said impatiently, she could tell that Louisa and Dylan still had a long way to go in forming a relationship.

Louisa cursed them beneath her breathe, she failed to understand what triggered this nasty change in him. He had never yelled at her or ordered her around ever since they met.

But everything changed when he returned back today with this lady claiming to be his fiance.

She stood on her toes to reach the teddy bear but ended up knocking down a whole shelf filled with breakables.

Louisa gaped in horror, the shattering noise was loud enough to alert the sales manager.

“I’m so sorry Mr Wesley the shelf must have been a bit wobbly that it fell” the sales manager apologized.

Louisa sighed in relief, Dylan was taking the blame for what she did.

“Your shelf wasn’t wobbly infact someone was!” he glanced briefly at Louisa.

The sales manager itched his head with a weird smile. “Mr Wesley…. I’m sure it was definitely our fault we should have checked…..

Louisa felt the blood drain from her face, when he pointed at her. She swallowed hard staring at the damaged goods, if she was to pay for all these she had to earn three times her salary for two months.

Louisa turned to Dylan with an apologetic look as cold sweat broke out on her forehead. Clara touched Dylan’s arm. “honey let’s go to another mall… I couldn’t find anything to my taste over here”

Dylan nodded to her words and began walking away with her.

“So when are you planning to pay up? or should I call the cops?” The Manager’s voice broke her out of her reverie, she sprinted towards Dylan and held him back.

“Dylan you can’t leave yet now….. how do I pay for all that? this wasn’t entirely my fault”

Clara yanked Louisa’s hand harshly from Dylan’s arm “get your hands off him…. we didn’t ask you to break the goods so fix this mess yourself!”

Louisa wasn’t paying any attention to Clara, she fixed her gaze on Dylan, was he going to let her get humiliated this way?

“Won’t you say anything? you want to watch me getting humiliated right? then that’s what you are going to see” she fired irritably at Dylan.

Louisa turned around in hurried footsteps and began destroying everything on each shelf.
