MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Jenna banged the door to Dylan’s room hurriedly, she sighed and turned back to Jerry and Olivia. “He doesn’t want to open up”

“I can’t believe him.. he snuck back in the middle of the night” Olivia said in unbelief, normally whenever he runs away like that he spends a month or two and sometimes three whole month away from home.

“I think we’ve entered a time portal, maybe this is the future, Dylan can never come back so early” Jenna mumbled out.

The door clicked open, Dylan raised a brow in suspicion seeing them all in front of his door.

“What exactly is going on?” he questioned but received silence in return, he snapped his fingers at their faces to bring them out of their trance.

“Dylan is that really you?” Jenna cried out and embraced him warmly.

“Okay! what is going on?” Dylan asked again, he still wanted to know why they were here.

“The thing going on is that you are back so early and we want to know why!” Jerry said to receive a smack from Jenna.

“Hahaha very funny Jerry, our son came back earlier than normal this time and you are asking that!”

Olivia tapped her head in embarrassment, in their family the children acts like adults while the adult acts like toddlers. They were one weird happy family but sometimes they get on her nerves like right now!

“You there! go and tell the cooks to make his favorite meals” Jenna ordered pointing at Olivia.

“Mum it’s Olivia!”

“Oh! whatever just do as I said!”

Olivia stomped away, of course as always it’s all about Dylan, whenever he comes back home after a while of being away, they flock around him and completely forget about her existence.

She recalled the time her mum left her for a whole week at summer camp just because Dylan returned back home.

Dylan walked past his parents heading down, he didn’t want them ruining his day with their never ending questions.

“Dylan did you visit Louisa?” Jenna asked, Dylan halted and turned to her.

“Is she sick? why do I need to visit her?” his response came out sharp and cold.

Jenna gasped softly and touched her chest “Did you hear that Jerry?”

“Dylan she is your fiancee” Jerry said which Jenna affirmed to.

Dylan peeped at his watch, time was running out for him, he had a meeting with some foreign clients and it was very important.

“We will talk about this when I get back”

He stopped beside Louisa’s cubicle “I know that some of you are burning in anger and I don’t really care about it however miss Louisa can you please tell me why it took you so long to stand up?”

Louisa had a weird look on her face, what does he mean by that? She got up when others did or was he trying to provoke her so early?

“I stood up when others did” she replied through gritted teeth, she felt like pulling his hair so hard.

Dylan narrowed his eyes down at her “In other words I’m telling lies?”

Louisa took a glance around her, her colleagues were already whispering among themselves, why was he trying to embarrass her so early in the morning?

“I didn’t say that, I’m sorry if you thought about it that way” she apologized with a glare.

“Get the files ready and bring them in” he ordered and left for his office.

Louisa slumped back on her seat and searched for the files he asked for, when she brought it out from her bag a pink pencil fell out.

She creased her brows and picked up the pencil, the moment she saw it she knew who it belonged to.

“This belongs to Chloe, but what is it doing in my bag?” she shrugged off the thoughts and took the file away with her.

The business partners were led into the office, Dylan stood up from his seat and exchanged handshakes with the three of them.

He was honestly shocked by their appearance, he thought that they were middle aged business men but who knew that they were about his age.

“It’s nice to finally meet you Mr Wesley” one of them commented and introduced himself as jack.

Louisa took a seat next to Dylan and she could swear that she wasn’t comfortable with him anymore.

“We’ve briefed you about everything pertaining the new project, so this is the agreement documents” Dylan pointed at the file on Louisa’s hands.

“Louisa hand it over to them” Dylan ordered which she did without hesitating, she returned back to her seat and relaxed back, her only task in here has been accomplished.

Jack collected the paper and flipped through the pages, his brows drew together and he flew up in rage. “Are you trying to embarrass us Mr Wesley?”

Dylan and Louisa exchanged brief glanced before they settled on jack.

“What is the problem?” Dylan asked, jack handed the file back to Dylan.

“Why don’t you have a look yourself”

Dylan flipped through the pages and sighed, Louisa was alarmed when she saw Dylan’s reaction.

“Louisa what is the meaning of this?” Dylan asked pushing the file towards her.

Louisa’s heart skipped a beat as she stared at the weird drawings and writings on the paper, some pages were even torn out.

Louisa’s eyes widened as she recalled the pencil that fell out earlier. “I….. actually… this…” she stuttered trying to find a meaningful words to put together.

“I’m sorry Mr Wesley but this deal can’t work anymore” jack said and left the office with his two associates.

Louisa bit her nails as she stared at Dylan, he was calm now and she could tell that he was about to erupt.

“Dylan this isn’t my……”

“I gave you only one task Louisa! just one! did you do this to get a revenge on me? you went too far do you know how much my company is going to lose because you?”

Louisa shut her eyes tightly, she didn’t want to see his angry face.

“I’m speaking to you say something!” he slammed his hand on his table.

Louisa jerked a bit from the sudden bang, her mouths moved but no coherent words came out of it.

“I promise this wasn’t a revenge, this isn’t my doing, Chloe did it” Louisa managed to say.

“Stop making excuses, you will have to fix this mess yourself” Dylan fired at her and she turned around and left his office.

Louisa dashed out running towards the elevator, they mustn’t have gone that far. Luckily for her she saw them about to enter the elevator.

“Mr jack wait!” she breathed out panting slightly, she approached them with hurried footsteps.

Jack raised a brow at her, “Do you want to embarrass us the more?” he asked in a hostile tone.

Louisa shook her head “No not at all…. please don’t leave yet, we didn’t do this deliberately actually my niece did that, we’ve been partners for some months now and you’ve never experienced this, please reconsider and give us another chance” she placed her palm together.

Jack seized her a look and communicated in a hush voice with his associates. She prayed that they reconsider their decision otherwise she won’t be able to face Dylan if the company experiences bankruptcy.

“Okay we will give you another chance” jack said after a while which drew a smile on Louisa’s lips.

She breathed out in relief “thank you so much….. Please this way” she led them back to Dylan’s office.

Dylan was surprised when he saw them coming in again, he glanced briefly at Louisa who smiled weirdly at him.

“Mr Wesley we’ve reconsidered our decision, please arrange for the right documents tomorrow we have to catch our flight back for a convention”

Dylan nodded and flashed them a smile, he shook their hands once more and watched them leave.

Louisa turned to leave also but he called her back “Don’t expect a thank you from me because you caused it in the first place and most importantly don’t repeat this mistake again!”

Louisa raised a brow, does it look like she was expecting one?

“I wasn’t expecting one either, if you really don’t want this to repeat itself tomorrow then I think you should give the task to someone else or perhaps do it yourself!” she blurted out.
