MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Clara opened her lazy eyes, she felt the heavy arm around her waist and gasped softly. That wasn’t a dream…. it was real.

She felt Karl’s hands move slightly under the sheets, his hand found its way to her mounds. He squeezed it softly which earned a moan from her.

“You are awake?”

She heard his teasing voice asked and pretended to be asleep.

“I know that you are awake”

Clara smiled and turned to him, she placed her head on his bare chest listening carefully to his heart beat.

Karl inhaled the scent of her hair that drives him nuts. “Clara let’s get married”

Clara threw herself into his arms, everything she had ever dreamt of was happening right now.

A knock came on the door followed by a hurried voice. “Boss Mr Hart is here to see you”

Karl hissed in anger, that man has managed to ruin his mood so early… he wondered what he was here for.

“Clara I will be back” He whispered into her ears and planted a kiss on her forehead..

Karl came down to meet his father in the living room, he had a frown on his face which clearly showed how annoyed he was..

“Isn’t too early?” Karl asked impatiently sitting on the sofa.

Anthony helped himself to a sofa since Karl wasn’t offering any.

“How many more times will I prove myself to you before you accept me as your father?”

Karl massaged his head, it was still too early for him to be lectured.

“Why do you need me back so desperately? you are giving me more reasons to say no to you”

Anthony sat up and met Karl’s eyes “I need an heir, I don’t want my properties and companies to go to the government when I die… I need you to take over my company as the new CEO”

“Amelia is still alive and I don’t want to get involved in your family mess” Karl answered back.

“But you are already involved whether you accept it or not!” Clara said walking towards them.

Karl got up and pulled her a few steps away from Anthony.

“Don’t say anything you don’t understand what is going on” Karl hushed in a low tone.

Clara rolled her eyes at him and walked away from him. “father ignore what he said…. that’s how he has always been, he doesn’t know the worth of people around him until they are gone”

Clara shot Karl a mean look before she turned to Anthony once more.

“Karl is ready to accept you back it’s only his pride that is stopping him from accepting you”

Anthony’s gaze rested on Karl but the latter turned away. “Karl” Anthony called out.

Karl raised a brow in response to his father, before he could say anything else, Anthony engulfed him in a warm and hearty embrace.

“I’m really sorry Karl… please forgive me” Anthony apologized.

The walls surrounding Karl’s heart collapsed, this was the feeling to be embraced by a father.

Clara touched her chest and wiped her tears that were falling. “This is so beautiful” she mumbled..

Olivia gasped for breathe as Luciana held unto her neck firmly.

“What were you saying back then?” Luciana scorned.

Olivia fondled with her purse, she pulled out a pen and stabbed it on Luciana’s hand.

She inhaled deep breaths and fell to the floor, Luciana held her arm in pain with a groan.

“You are a wolf in sheep’s clothing” Olivia spat out and helped herself off the ground.

People who tend to hurt you are the ones closest to you and that was what was happening here.

“You should have known that earlier! instead of wasting your time on me… I think you should be searching for the antidote for your sister in-law” Luciana spitefully spoke.

Olivia smirked and pulled off her wrist watch, she smashed it to the ground which Luciana found weird.

“Three minutes…. that’s all it took for me to find out everything about you today… you yourself have confessed to what you did to Louisa…. ”

Dylan collected the small white bottle which contained a green liquid.

“What is this stuff?” Dylan inquired and passed the liquid to Liam.

Amelia snatched the bottle and opened it, she brought it to her face only to be stopped by Liam.

She dropped to the ground surprising everyone, Liam was alarmed, he picked her up and dashed into the ward.

Jenna bit her nails, she turned to Jerry and smacked his arm. “How can you be so comfortable while this drama is going on here, we don’t know what happened to louisa and now she also passed out”

Jerry shrugged, he was too shocked to say anything, this was like a scene from a movie.

Olivia picked the bottle of the liquid which had spilled on the ground after Amelia passed out.

“Put that back down… I’m not ready to carry you once you faint” Dylan blurted out.

Olivia sniffed the bottle hurriedly and pulled it away. “Luciana had the same weird scent on the joker’s costume”

“What if Louisa had actually inhaled this stuff from the joker’s costume?” Jerry assumed.

“But that doesn’t explain why she is scared of the joker” Dylan added.

Jenna closed her eyes for a second and opened it. “I get it now…. Dylan you remembered when you told us that Louisa got a little crazy when you called out the joker?”

“Yeah…. I do”

Jenna clicked her tongue “This weird looking man was right when he spoke about the hypnosis…. Louisa was hypnotized to act crazy whenever she hears the word joker”

Amelia sat up and pulled the drip out of her hand shocking Liam and the nurses. “Tell me who inserted this needle into my hand”

Liam breathed out in relief, for a moment there he was scared that something terrible must have happened to her, but seeing her displaying her craziness has relieved him a lot.

“Amelia you passed out and they were only trying to sustain your energy” Liam explained.

“Well I didn’t ask them to”

Liam sighed and helped her out, she was too fine to be where the sick are supposed to be.

“Come on now drama queen” Liam jested nudging her out of the room.

Louisa opened her eyes after a while of being unconscious. She glanced briefly at her surroundings and was a bit surprised.

“Oh great! you are awake how are you feeling now?” The doctor asked.

Louisa creased her brow, what was she doing in a hospital. “why?…

The doctor shrugged “Even I cannot explain what happened to you”

The door to the ward was pushed open and Dylan walked in. He observed that her behavior was normal.
