My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2118

Chapter 2118

In the video, Hendrix was on one knee. There was then a blinding flash of light as the camera zoomed in. Taking a closer look, one could see that the light rays were reflected from a pigeon egg-sized diamond ring.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Despite being separated by the screen, our gazes seemed to have met as we smiled in unison.

I laughed at him for how dramatic he was being. The ring itself was merely a materialistic item, but he spent a large sum of money on it just to prove his sincerity. It was a clumsy but cute way to express his love.

Hendrix had probably anticipated my reaction. He tilted his head sideways with an innocent look on his face as if to let me know that this was all done upon the audience's request and that he had nothing to do with it.

It was a silly explanation. As I chuckled, I could feel a warm stream of tears flowing down my cheeks. I couldn't tell if it was because we had been through so much while waiting for that day to come or if I was touched by his effort, or both.

"Well walk hand-in-hand and grow old together. Arianna, would you like to stay with me for the rest

of your life?"

How did that voice sound so close, as though it did not from the large screen but from behind me?

When I turned around and met the dark eyes masked behind my male partner, I stood there, surprised for quite a while.

My mind had only been focused on experiencing the magnificence of the scene that I hadn't even casted a proper glance at him. Right as our gazes met, the pair of eyes looked so familiar, as if they were Hendrix's.

Moments later, the person reached behind his head to untie his mask.

After the mask was removed, the familiar, delicate facial features emerged. The face of indifference never had much gentleness to it, reminding me of a charming prince of ancient times. He stood out so much that I no longer paid any attention to the vivid dragon on his robe.

As it turned out, Hendrix was there from the very start, and was the one who had walked me down the red carpet.

"Mrs. Roberts," Hendrix called as he reached out to me, exposing the wide hem of his coat, "Would you do me the honor of letting me address you as such till the very end?"

My eyes overflowed with tears and and my chest vibrated with laughter at the same time. I bit my lower lip, nodded firmly and replied, "Of course."

Hendrix's smile widened. After he

walked over to me, I felt his arms wrapping around my waist. Soon, learned into his deep kiss, falling soft and limp. I started to lose consciousness as if I had once again entered a dream state.

It was a dream I did not want to be woken up from.

I wasn't sure how long it took for Hendrix to let me go. The distance between our lips was practically non-existent as he muttered, hope that you could always be as

obedient as you're today."

Only that man would feel no shame showing a public display of affection in front of a nation-wide audience. "That will depend on your performance!" "Mommy..." "Mom!" "Mommy..."

Having heard the children's voices from afar, Hendrix helped me straighten up. It was the three little ones. They were combed with a top knot, carrying a flower basket filled with roses.

I raised my eyebrows and glanced at Hendrix. There was no doubt that they were the flower girls and boy. Their outfit had a harmonious tone to them. "Don't forget me!" Freya walked onto stage from my left and teased, "Would you mind if a divorcee becomes your bridesmaid?"

"Of course not..." My heart was overwhelmed with feelings of pure surprise and joy. How could I ever have thoughts like that?

At that moment, the host's voice rang out from the giant loudspeaker in the distance, "The auspicious time has come. Let's have the couple bow to each other!"

Freya and the children gathered in a circle. Along with the cheers of countless spectators, Hendrix reluctantly parted with me before we stood at opposite ends of the stage.

The celebration went on with the poundings of drums coupled with firecrackers. We were surrounded by three children who threw flower petals, hopped around, and repeated the words "Congratulations on your wedding, Mom and Dad'!" Despite all the noise, my world was so silent that I could only hear Hendrix's ethereal voice telling me through his gaze that he wanted nothing more than to love me just a little more.
