My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2192

Chapter 2192

As soon as the officer said this, everyone rushed into the club and headed straight for the wine cellar.

We knew that no one could stop them. Worse comes to worst, we would have to accompany Anne to the detention center. Since we were innocent and since the police had no evidence to prove that Anne was behind all of this, they could only detain her for a maximum of forty-eight hours. No matter what Quinn had planned to do here, I would definitely do everything I could to protect Anne and not let her get involved in this.

I remembered when I had failed to accompany Monique when she went through these hard times. Now, I wanted Anne to know that I had her back.

All of us stood in front of the wine cellar. I patted Anne's hand while controlling my own emotions. I hinted to her to remain calm and told her that no matter what happens, I would always be there for her.

"Open it." The police officer couldn't wait any longer and hurried over to the front.

The employee who had the keys glanced at me and Anne. After giving him permission, he took out the keys and unlocked the door.

While turning the key in the lock, there was a sudden sound of glass breaking from inside the wine cellar.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Even though we were outside, we could hear it very clearly.

All of the policemen stood on guard. They took out their guns and aimed it at the heavy door. Then the police officer pulled the employee to the side, made eye contact with his other colleagues, then kicked the door open.

"Bang!" The door slammed against the wall and swung open wildly.

There was a very strong smell of alcohol and the floor was soaked with all kinds of wine and liquor. It was flowing towards the door. Even the basket in the corner that had wine in it was scattered everywhere. There was shattered glass all around the floor. We could see the reflection of the lights on the surface of the spilled liquid.

Hendrix was standing in the middle of the wine puddle. His trousers were wet, his suit was ruined. The only thing that looked decent on him was a white shirt. His tie was hanging loosely around his neck and there were stains of red wine on it.

He looked over at them when he heard the policemen crowding at the door. He had a bottle of whisky in his hand which he drank calmly from.

After taking a swig of the whisky, he

threw the bottle at the wall. The police officer tried to shout as loud as he could to stop him but it was too late. The bottle hit the wall and shattered into pieces along with some other bottles. All that was left was a huge puddle of liquor on the floor.

The police officer was so angry that his face turned red. He gritted his teeth and his eyes looked furious, but he couldn't say anything.

Hendrix, on the other hand, looked innocent and simply raised his hand to wipe his lips. "What's happening? Why are there so many policemen here?"

I didn't know how to react to his annoying yet somehow sexy demeanor.

I nearly laughed and took this

opportunity to say, "Someone has

"I see." Hendrix answered faintly, "What a coincidence. A little accident just happened and now all the wine has been spilled."

He then paused a while and looked at the police officer while casually pointing at the ground. "If you don't mind the mess, please go ahead."

All the wine had been spilled, all the bottles were broken and any evidence was completely destroyed. Even if they insisted, they would have to get themselves wet. Only a fool would do so.

The police officer glared at Hendrix feeling very dissatisfied, but said nothing in the end. He bolstered his gun and walked to the exit with his men in tow.

After taking a few steps forward, he

suddenly stopped and said

sarcastically, "Mr. Roberts and Mrs Roberts, you truly are a perfect.

couple I guess no other counted no

the Jarold City can compare to the both of you."

His tone made us sound like we were criminals who had just gotten away with something.

Accusing others without any evidence and judging us like criminals just proved that he wasn't a fair man at all.

I immediately played dumb and accepted everything he said. "Thank you for your compliment. We both genuinely appreciate it!"
