Chapter 1002
Chapter 1002
Julien wanted to make Luke aware that he knew Sydney had gone to dinner with Luke.
Julien didn't want Luke to be secretly happy about having dinner with Sydney behind his back.
Zach had worked with Julien for years, so Zach could tell what Julien was thinking from the look in his eyes.
The corners of Zach's mouth twitched.
'Does Mr. Flint really need to do this?
'He just said he didn't mind Ms. Raines having dinner with Mr. Chase as he was a generous man. But now he's about to remind Mr. Chase that he's Ms. Raines' boyfriend. He was lying.'
Seeing the look in Zach's eyes in the rearview mirror, Julien frowned and demanded, "What does that look in your eyes mean?"
Zach realized that Julien had seen right through him. He immediately let out an awkward cough and explained, "Nothing, Mr. Flint, I wasn't looking at you. I was thinking about something else."
"Huh." Julien snorted, "You think I'd believe that?"
Zach lowered his head at once and fell silent.
Julien let him go. He opened the car door. Before he got out of the car, he said, "Do what I told you to do."
Zach hurriedly got out of the car and responded, "Yes." Then something occurred to him. He looked at Julien's back and called out carefully, "Mr. Flint, Ms. Raines might get the wrong idea that we sent someone to follow her. What if she gets angry?"
Julien's movement of straightening his cuffs paused, and his face froze.
He hadn't thought about it.
He only wanted to show off to Luke since the latter had gone to dinner with Sydney.
He didn't think Sydney might be angry about it.
When Julien didn't say anything, Zach also fell silent.
After a few seconds, Julien turned to Zach and stared at him with grim eyes. "It's none of your business. I'll take care of it. Just do what I said."
"Yes," Zach responded.
'How are you going to take care of it? You're going to coax Ms. Raines and say something sweet to make her happy. That's how you take care of it. Hmm!' Zach thought to himself.
Julien had no idea what Zach was thinking. After straightening his clothes, he headed for the front door of the hotel.
Zach followed him. And at the same time, he took out his cell phone and made arrangements about what Julien had asked him to do earlier.
Soon, the two arrived at the door of a presidential suite on the top floor of the hotel.
Julien took a step back and gave Zach a look.
Zach nodded. He stepped forward and rang the doorbell.
Soon, someone asked, "Who is that?"
Zach looked up and answered, "Is that Neil, Mr. Sullivan's assistant? Hello, this is Zach, Julien Flint's assistant."
earing this, Zach, Neil widened his eyes in surprise. He immediately straightened his body. And the laziness in his voice immediately disappeared.
'What? He's Julien's assistant!'
Immediately, Neil had an uneasy look.
In order not to show his timidness, he hurriedly took a deep breath to calm down. He walked to the door, lowered his eyes so Zach couldn't see the look in his eyes, and asked, "Zach, nice to meet you. What can I do for you?"
Dallin had been in Port City for many days. He didn't deliberately keep his trip in the city a secret, so Julien must have known they were in Port City.
And Dallin had gone to see Sydney.
Neil believed that Sydney must have told Julien that she had seen Dallin.
Neil had been wondering what Julien's plan was and why he hadn't come to see Dallin after all the days they had been in Port City.
Neil had thought Julien wouldn't come to visit Dallin as if he didn't know Dallin was in Port City.
However, today Zach came.
'It must have been Julien's idea!'
Outside the door, hearing Neil's question, Zach glanced back at Julien for instructions.
Julien didn't say a word. He just slightly lifted his chin.
Zach understood him. He turned his head back and said with a touch of impatience in his tone, "Please inform Mr. Sullivan that Mr. Flint is here to see him.. If Mr. Sullivan doesn't come out, we'll break in. I'm telling you in advance."
Zach was straightforward. He had no qualms about Dallin and his assistant.
He thought Dallin should be grateful that Julien had come to visit him because Dallin couldn't see Julien whenever he wanted to.
So, Zach did not show respect to Dallin or his assistant, which Julien allowed.
Inside the door, Neil was enraged to hear Zach's rude warning. He gritted his teeth. He wanted to open the door and kick Zach's ass.
However, Zach was Julien's assistant, so Neil couldn't offend him. No matter how angry he was, he had to hold back his anger.
Neil took a deep breath. He had a grim face, but he replied politely, ""I see. Please wait a moment. I'll go tell Mr. Sullivan right away."
Zach crossed his arms as he yelled, "Hurry up! Mr. Flint is here. Don't keep him waiting. I don't have a lot of patience. I'm going to kick the door in soon." He had learned it from Hunter.
Neil was shaking with anger, but he gritted his teeth and answered, "Rest assured, I'll be back soon."
Neil clenched his fist and turned to inform Dallin.
After Zach couldn't hear Neil's voice, he guessed Neil was gone, so he turned to Julien and grinned, "Mr. Flint, What do you think of my performance just now??" Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Julien curled his lips. "Not bad."
"I learned it from Mr. Cohen. Although Mr. Cohen doesn't look very trustworthy, he has got some sophisticated skills."
At least he could be infuriating when he acted like a punk.
Zach didn't want to do so. He's an office man, after all. He had his decency.
But today he had to pretend to be a rascal.
In both Port City and Jackal City, Julien's status was higher than Dallin's. Dallin should have visited Julien, but today Julien visited Dallin, so Zach had to make a fuss.
Zach wanted Dallin to know that even though Julien had come to see him, Julien had the upper hand, and they didn't need to take Dallin seriously.
