Never 57
The shooting of microfilm wasn't as demanding as a full-length movie.
Linda had a great team, so the shoot ended in just a few weeks.
On the final day, Chloe came by to celebrate with her.
"The jewelry won't go missing," Linda assured her when she saw Chloe's eyes glued on the jewelry box.
that's years of my hard work, Chloe replied. One of them was a Victorian-era antique pearl, which was priceless.
Chloe wouldn't have lent it if Linda wasn't her sister. It was a collection of Radiant Jewelry's workshop.
"You didn't come just to celebrate, right?" Linda asked,
Chloe grinned. "Luke mentioned you haven't replied to his message."
Linda picked up her phone, which had been charging nearby. Then, she scrolled through the messages, finding the unanswered one.
"So, what brings you here?" Linda asked.
"I'm here to pick you up," Chloe replied.
Linda was speechless. Then, she clicked on the message to reply to it. "I'm sorry, I was busy just now and missed your message."
Luke's reply came swiftly. "No problem. Would you be
honored to join me for dinner tonight, Ms. Felix?"
She frowned slightly as she read the message. "Chloe, can you explain what's going on now?"
Chloe chuckled. "Trust me, Linda, Luke is a good person." She then rattled off various praises about Luke, making her look almost like a matchmaker.
"Moreover, Luke has even more jewelry and resources than I do," Chloe added. Her teacher at Flomont Design Academy certainly had an impressive collection and vast resources compared to Chloe. Linda sighed, "But you know I have a lot of unfinished business, right?"
Chloe responded righteously, "Working is important, but eating is just as important!"
"Chloe, sometimes I think there's something wrong with you." Linda was speechless, but Chloe was still her sister. It left Linda unable to say anything else.
She picked up her phone again. Her fingers danced over the screen as she typed, "It would be my honor to have dinner with you, Mr. Hunter. Please let me know the time and place."
When Chloe saw Linda replying to Luke's message to confirm the dinner, her smile widened even more.
Linda drove herself to the dinner location.
Originally, she was supposed to bring Chloe along. However, Chloe confessed that she had a natural fear of Luke despite having already graduated. As such, she refused to go, leaving Linda on her own. Upon arriving at the restaurant, Linda realized Wilson Group owned it. She felt that Luke was quite talented in picking the place.
This was the second time Linda met Luke.
The first time was back in Usna at a Poly auction where Chloe's work was featured. Samson was unavailable at that time, so Linda decided to show up there. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
When Luke saw Linda, he immediately stood up and greeted her with a warm smile. "Haven't seen you for a long time, Ms. Felix."
He was originally from Cheshire but had moved to Idaly after elementary school.
Influenced by his surroundings, he pursued a career in jewelry design and eventually became a professor at the Florence Design Academy.
"Indeed. It's been a while since we didn't see each other," Linda replied.
Luke pulled out a chair for her by the window. The streetlights outside cast a glow into the room, illuminating Linda and making her hair shimmer in the light.
