Chapter 28

Linda said, “I’ll be casting the actors ahead of time. The start date for filming is still undecided. In our Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

domestic movie industry, there’s a heavy focus on an actor’s fame and number of followers rather than

their acting chops.

“If we don’t secure the right actors early, any problems during filming could lead to major delays.”

As a manager, Lina knew this all too well. The local entertainment industry prioritized celebrities‘

influence, flawless filters, web–series–like scene transitions, and ensuring that every story ended happily, which often made them quite boring.

“When will you announce you’re Amber F?” Lina asked.

Linda raised an eyebrow as the question sounded oddly familiar. She had heard it somewhere before.

“I’ll announce it when the time is right,” Linda replied, not wanting to discuss it further. “Missy Lina, shouldn’t you be getting back to work?

Lina rose and left the office.

Linda had been in a great mood lately because no one was annoying her. William’s absence made everything more bearable. She stayed calm and agreeable even when there were setbacks with the film

editing.

Chloe wasn’t dealing with the online mess. She was waiting for Ida to cause more trouble and eventually

dig her own grave.

Why intervene when it was far more enjoyable to watch someone ruin themselves? Ida making a fool of herself would be especially gratifying.

Linda wasn’t concerned. She knew Chloe had it all under control.

At the end of the workday, Linda headed to the basement parking lot. Before she could leave the elevator,

she was unexpectedly yanked into the emergency stairwell.

Behind the door, she was alarmed and about to shout for help when she recognized a familiar scent. It was William.

“Mr. Wilson, why can’t you ever learn to respect boundaries?” Linda asked with a wry smile, her tone

neither warm nor cold.

She didn’t resist, allowing William to hold her close. She knew he wouldn’t dare take it any further.

William rested his chin on her shoulder, his voice husky. “What’s going on between you and Samson?”

Linda thought of the paparazzi stationed outside Samson’s villa that day and caught on immediately. It seemed the news had broken, yet she hadn’t had a chance to see it yet.

“Mr. Wilson, our relationship is whatever you believe it to be,” she said, her words heavy with implication.

“Are you two together?”

“I actually lived under the same roof as him when I was in Usna.” Linda smiled. “Is that answer enough for

you?”

William was in disbelief. “Are you lying to me?”
