Night of Destiny (Anastasia Tillman)

Chapter 2787

Chapter 2787

An hour later, a car pulled up at the entrance of the spa. Reuben stepped out and entered the lobby.

“I’m looking for Miss Harmony Mayo.”

“Please wait a moment. She’s not ready yet.”

“Alright, don’t tell her I’m here. I’ll wait for her.” Reuben found a seat and sat down.

He now regretted his past decisions. Catalina had fallen from grace, while he hadn’t found a wealthy

benefactor, so he planned to follow Harmony, hoping that she would give him a significant supporting

role in her future films, which would be a better opportunity than joining other film crews.

Two hours later, Harmony and Sera finished their spa session and descended the stairs. They were

engaged in cheerful conversation when a figure suddenly intercepted them.

“Harmony, what a coincidence to meet you here!” Reuben immediately approached them with a

flattering expression, not forgetting to greet Sera, “Sera, it’s been a while.”

“Mr. Nagy, don’t be so familiar. We’re not close.” Sera huffed. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Harmony, I know we’re no longer together, but I can’t forget the difficult times we shared. I believe we

can still be friends, right?” Reuben looked at Harmony with his usual affectionate gaze and

shamelessly stated, attempting to evoke Harmony’s sympathy and pity.

Unable to take it anymore, Sera refuted, “You just want to curry favor with Harmony, don’t you, Nagy?

What, does your former benefactor, Catalina, not care about you anymore?”

“Sera, don’t misunderstand. Catalina and I merely had a business relationship. We’ve terminated our

collaboration and have no connection now. I just can’t forget you, Harmony, and the happy moments

we shared.”

“Happy moments? For me, those are memories I’d rather forget. Leave, Reuben. Don’t bother me

anymore. We’re just strangers now.” Harmony said coldly.

“Harmony, I know you’re not this heartless. You’re the most gentle and understanding person I’ve ever

met. So, we can still be friends, and I promise we’re only friends.”

Harmony felt revolted. She didn’t expect Reuben to be so shameless.

“Reuben, have you no shame? Must I curse at you before you’re pleased?! Do you think a despicable

person like you is worthy of being my friend? Get lost!” Harmony cursed. She knew the only way to

deal with a person like Reuben was to be harsh.

Reuben was dumbfounded. The Harmony, who never cursed, was now calling him despicable in front

of so many people and even telling him to get lost!

Sera also watched with great interest, hoping Harmony would curse at him even more.

“Harmony, we’ve been together for so long. Can’t you leave me with some dignity? Although I’m down

and out now, our past can’t be erased. We had dated in the past.”

“Thinking about the days with you makes me sick. Don’t mention the past to me. You’re not worthy!

And why aren’t you sucking up to your Catalina? Why are you here? Do you think I’ll pity you and help

you? You’re dreaming. I’ve already done you a favor by not using my connections to cut off your

resources.” Harmony sneered.

The nearby attendants observed this drama unfold. They also held no fondness for Reuben, for when

he and Catalina had come, he was very arrogant, bossing them around. He even flirted with the prettier

attendants.

Now, Harmony’s scolding had alleviated their anger.

Reuben didn’t anticipate this. He thought he could gain Harmony’s sympathy by acting pitiful, but it

seemed he was mistaken. Harmony was no longer the Harmony he used to know.

“Harmony, can we find a place to sit down and talk? There are too many people here.” Reuben

pleaded. He didn’t want to lose any more dignity, but he also didn’t want to give up the chance to plead

with Harmony.
