Melissa's POV
"How dare you do this?" Debra screamed furiously at Sebastian; this was as good as exiling Vince, ensuring she'd never see her son again.
Sebastian calmly raised his gaze, exuding the aura of a true leader.
"Isn't this exactly what you wanted? This fool doesn't possess the qualities to be a lord, yet he keeps trying. Sadly, none of you have recognized this, and you continue to place him. on equal footing with me, even going so far as to conflict with me for his sake. You dare to threaten my lover and child."
"Even so, that's because there's a problem with your rule!"
Debra retorted seriously, aware that if her son were exiled to such a desolate place, he would never have a chance to rise again..
But Sebastian's decision had already been made, and no one could defy an Alpha's command.
On the way back to the North, we both remained silent for a long time.
I watched his tense profile and smiled gently.
"I've already spoken to Dr. Clinton. He'll return to the North to treat Mignon as soon as he can. But we need to find a suitable match for her bone marrow transplant quickly so she can recover sooner."
As I looked down at Mignon, who had fallen deeply asleep in my arms, I lowered my voice. as much as possible.

"You don't mind that I have a child, do you?"
Sebastian's response struck me as amusing.
"Why would I? You know I have a son named Aaron as well, don't you? Besides, whatever happened between you and Rachel has nothing to do with the child, right? Not to mention Mignon is so sweet. I met her on the very day I arrived at the castle." Clearly, Sebastian was unaware of this part of the story. It wasn't until I recounted it that realization dawned on him.
"So the moon goddess she spoke of was you!"
According to Mignon's account, she had encountered the gentlest person in the world that day. At first, she had called the woman "Mama," who had stayed by her side. Unfortunately, she had never seen me again after that.
This led Mignon to believe that the moon goddess had taken pity on her and had transformed into a physical form to keep her company.

Hearing this explanation, I couldn't help but kiss her cheek. Compared to Aaron, Mignon was so understanding.
When we returned to the North, Phoebe was on the verge of tears, and Kala visibly sighed with relief.
Upon seeing Mignon, Phoebe went through the motions of bestowing her with a witch's blessing, but to us, her blessing looked rather unremarkable.
Once I finally relaxed, I realized I was nearly fainting from hunger.
As 1 entered the dining room, I noticed the strange looks directed at me. Although I had no idea what had happened, it was clear that they now feared my presence.
"By the way, there's something else about Mignon..."
I scanned the room, searching for the figure with the black hair.
Kala shoved a piece of steak into her mouth, seemingly already aware of what I was about
to ask.
"The Alpha has sent that wicked woman away, so you can rest assured that nothing is going on between them."
At her words, Martell's face suddenly turned crimson, and he hurried to clarify.
"I have nothing to do with Lindsay either!"
I hadn't expected those two to still be at odds. The rest of the group exchanged glances, but no one dared to speak up.
"However, I heard that when you were the Meadow Luna, you always stayed at home. I never knew you had any strategic skills, let alone that you were so strong in battle," Basil questioned, looking at me.
I momentarily struggled to find a response. Elliott had indeed said I lacked combat skills, and it wasn't until I left the Meadow that I discovered my talent in that area.
"Perhaps coming here awakened my hunting instincts? As for strategy, maybe I really am a bit of a genius."
My words elicited smiles from those present.
"However, from what I've gathered, it seems Elliott doesn't know that Courteney's father has explicitly supported Atrias. The Meadow may get involved in the alliance, and I wonder what threat that poses to us." Thinking back to when I saw them at the hospital, I quickly added, as Sebastian gently stroked my hands.

in his gaze; he offered me his complete trust.
"I think Atrias is trying to force you into war with him using these tactics. As for his ultimate goal, I still don't have a definite idea."
"But didn't that guy say he was doing this for you? During the ambush, there were indeed people surrounding you," Martell interjected.
Kala shot him a fierce glare, thinking he was out of his mind.,
Realizing he had misspoken, Martell quickly fell silent.
"That shouldn't be the case. That statement is undoubtedly the dumbest scheme behind this ambush. Atrias is a smart man; he wouldn't make such a move. First, he has no idea where Melissa will appear! Secondly, their ability to find a witch indicates they were fully prepared before launching the attack. Regardless of their purpose, they must have targeted the North, and Alpha and Atrias must share some special connection... that's why he would resort to such reckless actions." Phoebe quickly voiced her thoughts. I exchanged a glance with Sebastian; Phoebe was right.
Although we weren't sure what scheme Atrias had in mind, it was clear that this was an attack directed at the North.
Back in our room, I found it difficult to sleep, and Sebastian had also withdrawn from his tense emotions, collapsing onto the bed.
"If... I mean, if your stepmother doesn't know how to resolve this matter and ends up teaming up with Atrias..."
"I understand you, Melissa."
Sebastian gently interacted with me, stroking my back before pulling me tightly into his
embrace.
"Even if Debra were to do that, I would ensure your safety. Do not fear the war. I am about to marry you and make you my Luna, so we will not focus our energy on warfare at this time."
Hearing his words, I found myself momentarily stunned, then turned to look into his eyes, assuring myself I saw no lies or deceit. I took a deep breath.
"Sebastian..."
But before I could finish, those soft lips pressed against mine, silencing me.. "Please ignore the recent terrible events. At this moment, I am making the most right decision of my life. I need you; I need you by my side. That's why I've never been willing to take precautions when I'm with you. I hope we can create a real family together. I hope you can be my wife, my mate, and the Luna of the North!"

tears of excitement and comfort streamed down my face.
"So, dear Miss Melissa Helberg, will you accept my proposal and become my bride?"
I wanted to say something, but my emotions overwhelmed me, leaving me only able to nod vigorously in response. I could feel my breath catch in my throat.
After receiving my answer, Sebastian smiled.
"Although you have already met my mother, I rushed to propose to you without seeking your father's consent."
As he spoke, he kissed my eyes, and the next moment, a delicate gift box appeared before
1. me.
""Fortunately, I prepared this for you in advance."
He said, sitting on the bed beside me, holding my left hand.
"Thank you, Melissa! You have made me whole. I hope you will always stay by my side as my Luna. No one will ever belittle you because of your background again! I swear on my life and give you everything I have so that we can become a true couple." It wasn't until the exquisite Zambian emerald appeared before me that I shook off my shock.
"It looks to be about four carats. If sold, it would fetch at least $650,000!"
I loved gemstones, but given my financial situation, I knew it was unnecessary to possess such an expensive item.
"It suits you perfectly; it's just as noble as you are. I hope to use this ring to keep you by my side."
Sebastian joked as he slipped it onto my ring finger.
