‘The first stage of the plan is set’ the voice of a middle aged man was heard.

‘ You know Father, at first I thought this plan wasn’t going to work. Now look, everything is falling into place ‘ Axl answered.

The first voice was that of Mr. Anderson.

They were in his study, drinking and smoking.

‘ You were always approaching Cindy the wrong way, a woman should he approached with love ‘ Mr. Anderson said as he smoked more tobacco.

He was dressed up nicely in an expensive suit which was same with his son.

They wore the same designers brand but the suit were of different colours.

Axl wore a brown suit while his father had a black suit.

The duo both looked like they were in a very good mood as they drank, smoked and made merry.

‘ I have already gotten someone who will do the Job and the the fun is that Cathy won’t suspect us if being involved ‘ Mr Answered said in a mocking laughter.

‘You are so cunning and sensible Father’ Axl praised

‘I didn’t kill my best friend to get only houses and what ever Cathy had given me. The plan was to get everything ‘ he said putting much emphasis on everything.

‘ I can see that father, don’t forget about the divorce issue ‘.

‘yes !’ he answered waving his hand. ‘ For now all you need is to continue faking your love for Cathy, let her believe you are in love with her and not interested in her properties ‘.

‘Yes dad, it’s already working, do you know Cathy didn’t go to work today? She had entrusted her duties to me. Soon and then she will entrust all her properties to me’ Axl said with a cunning smile.

‘ Just keep her away from the office and we are sure to get all the properties in a week ‘ .

They both lifted up their wine glass as they had a toast .

The next moments were filled with more drinking, smoking and talks on what to use the money for.

A call came and Me Anderson left .

Dementrio stared at her confused on why she looked so weak and why her eyes closed slowly, it took him seconds to realize that she was passing out.

It was too late, she fell down.

He heaved a sigh of relief that she fell on the soft rugs. He carried her up and laid her on the bed , ensuring she was still breathing he left to bring water which he sprinkled on her face .

She woke up in a fright as she hugged Dementrio tightly and she cried.

‘Take it easy Rhea, you will be fine ‘ he reassured patting her hair softly.

‘Cindy will be so upset when she hears this. Then I forced her to fall in love with that fool’ she said ad she rolled her fist .

She freed herself, she was really mad and angry.

‘I will sure teach that fool a lesson ‘ she yelled as she got up.

‘You won’t do any of that now. Your angry and you shouldn’t do anything’ he advised holding her gently.

‘What do you think I should do ?’ she asked.

‘ Calm down , Damien is a smart guy and can switch sides in seconds. Don’t do something you will regret’.

She hugged him again , Dementrio didn’t flench instead he held her closer as he patted her gently slowly placing kisses on her hair.

After a while, she freed herself wanting to go because she wanted to tell Cindy everything as soon as possible.

He allowed her on the condition that he will drive her home, she agreed and they left immediately.

The ride was taking longer than usual as Rhea was already feeling restless and uncomfortable.

‘ She’s not taking my calls, I wonder where she is’ Rhea said in distress.

‘She will be fine, not like she’s in some sort of danger. Tell me where she was when you called her’ .

‘She said she was in the hospital, please drive there’ .

‘Whats she doing there?’ he asked as he skillfully reversed and turned to the route of City’s Hospital.

She narrated everything that happened back in the club, how she made Damien faint so that Cindy could have some private moments with him.

‘ That’s the craziest idea I have ever heard. How could you do such?’ he asked trying to maintain eye contact with both his driving and Rhea.

‘Dont blame me! I didn’t know till now’ she justified.

‘The Damien I know is crafty and would make Cindy fall in love without him reciprocating the feeling ‘ .

‘What did I just do?’ Rhea said in anguish.

‘ Don’t worry, all will be fine ‘ he said assuring her.

They drove to the hospital but unfortunately the nurses informed them that Cindy and Damien left the hospital about 30 minutes before they came.

The news left Rhea really upset and sad, the only place she could think of was their house.

They drove fast to the house and just like luck wasn’t on their side, Cindy wasn’t at home.

Rhea rushed into all the rooms screaming her name while Dementrio admired the photo frames in the living room.

All pictures looked like it had been taken a year or two, he couldn’t see any picture younger than that.

Rhea rushed to meet him and said,

‘She isn’t at home ‘.

‘Maybe she went out to get something ‘.

‘She could have answered my calls, hold on let me try it again’ she said bringing out her phone.

The call went through but before she could say anything, she heard the receiver say,

‘Hi Rhea, I went out for dinner. Will be home by 7pm’ .

With that the called ended.

At least one thing was sure, Cindy was okay and will be back in an hour time.

‘No, I won’t allow you starve yourself. Get something to eat ‘ he ordered.

‘Alright, I will order some pizza’ she responded.

‘Pizza, how about cooking something?’ he asked.

She stared at him as she whispered,

‘ I can’t Cook ‘.

He suppressed a chuckle as he drew her closer only to lift her up , carrying her and guiding her to sit on the coach.

‘Sit down and answer all questions from here, I will prepare something for you ‘ he said.
